From our first contact, Ruud and Annemarie
, were welcoming and thoughtful, making us feel like family members. They gave us great suggestions for what to see and how to get there. We would highly recommend this lovely home because of its proximity to Amsterdam, it's heritage, and quiet neighbourhood.

A beautiful authentic stay in Amsterdam. We found the garden lovely to relax and have a glass of wine in. We were even surprised with a bottle of champagne and flowers when we arrived, as it was our honeymoon. Ruud also offered to pick us up and drop us off at the metro, which is very close (1km). We found the use of the bikes to be fantastic and visited friends 12kms away on them. The cycleways are very safe and easy to navigate. The kitchen was very functional and enabled us to make a quick dinner when we'd had a long day.

This was a cute and comfortable place in a lovely part of Amsterdam . So nice to be in a historic building with character. Our hosts were kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!
The suite was perfect for us, but if you are a tall person, it won't work for you!

Awesome host. Beautiful surroundings, nice comfy apt. Nice garden to chill. I have to mention host again, super nice and helpful, breakfast was really nice touch. Coming back for sure.

It was comfortable, garden was lush and green and it still close to Amsterdam inner city .
It felt like staying in a little cottage on the country side. Ruud was extremely accomodating when it came to finding the right bike to get around.
There was nothing not to like. The apartment had everything you needed. It was a short bike ride to the train station and had loads of cafes and restaurants near by.

It was wonderful to stay in an authentic Dutch house over 500 years old but with all the comforts of home. The host Ruud was extremely helpful with directions and I also enjoyed the breakfasts he served. He gave very clear instructions to find his place and the 15 minute to the metro was along a forested canal. Very picturesque. Only 1 metro stop to Centraal Station. I highly recommend.
There was absolutely nothing not to like.

A delightful place to stay. The apartment is located on the ground floor of a 16th century building. The owners pay great attention to the comfort of their guests. The apartment is fully equipped and very cosy. The house is located in a beautiful and quiet area of Amsterdam.
Everything was perfect!

It' a very cozy and large enough place. Even with own kitchen. There was a large window with pillows: very comfortable to read a book there. The owner gave us two bicycles to ride to the center of Amsterdam. Breakfast was delicious.

It is a really lovely apartment, where we’re allowed to cook and specially to use the bikes (although we didn’t try due to windy whether). Ruud is so friendly: he gave us some bread, dessert and fruit and printed some materials for free. Some introductions are given for our three-days staying in Amsterdam. I do appreciate his kind treatment.

Good location.
Very warm welcome from Anne-Marie.
Good facilities on offer.
Roof was a little low for someone of 6ft. Back starting to hurt after a night.

Super location and super, super hosts. The neighborhood is worthy of exploration - nice contrast to the chaos of downtown Amsterdam. Hosts went out of their way to take care of us - very, very appreciated!!!!
Blank for a reason - everything great! Not a problem for us, but tall people might find low ceilings a problem.

The location (outside busy tourist central) feels like you’re in the Dutch countryside but it’s really only 10mins by bike from centre. You can hire bikes from Ruud easily too! The apartment is very cosy and has everything you need - a great space to relax. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
The low ceiling in the apartment (historic building) may be a little tricky if you’re 6’6’’ (198cm) tall like me! But not a problem - it added to the charm!

Expensive, but very reasonable compared to other properties. Good location and close to the metro station. Getting use of the bicycles was an unexpected bonus. Room was more like a private little studio apartment with separate entrance. Lots of space but cosy.
Nothing negative to report.

It was a lovely home, in a historic part of Amsterdam, truly felt like we were in a village on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly, allowed us to borrow their bikes, and left us croissants for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Would stay again anytime we visit the city!

The apartment is cozy and the neighborhood is lovely. Rudd and Anne marie are the best host ever! They are very caring and easy-going. I highly recommend to stay in klavergeluk. The apartment is placed a 12-min walking from the metro station and the enviroment is idyllic so, it is a very nice walk.
Everything was perfect.

Met on arrival at Metro and when we left our host dropped us off at the ferry. Our accomodation was comfy, cute, spacious, in short it was LOVELY. That's a point, it helps if you are short in stature as this home does date back to the 17th c! and it has low ceilings. Neighbourhood was peaceful and within one metro stop to Central station. RUUD's breakfasts are not to be missed. This homely set up would be a fab long stay option.

Ruud was very helpful. Bicycle for use free of charge. I loved the location: near a park, not crowded as th center of the town. 15 min from the central rail station by bicycle. Close to local restaurants. Well equipped kitchen.
Ceiling is not for the tall (1.80) but I knew it in advance and It wasn't an issue for me.

Such a cute little place, at 5 ft 2" it was the perfect size. Loved that the host has some bicycles I could borrow to go into the city centre. The host was very friendly and easy to talk to. Well heated.

Authentic house, nice place including canal and authentic neighbour houses, the big yard, rich breakfast, pleasant and friendly owners. The room includes even a minibar containing water, wine and beer. The room has everything what could be needed, it's almost like home.

the apartment is nicely decorated and fully equipped. one has everything one needs to cook and there are even an umbrella and many travel guides available.
2 bikes can be borrowed free of charge to explore the city.
the hosts are very nice and helpful.
a beautiful garden free to use.
on foot ca 40 mins to the center, with metro 20 mins.
the ceiling is unexpectedly low
- when the hosts are walking directly above the bedroom it can get a bit loud, but they just got a puppy and that may have been the reason for the noise
