When I first arrived at the Awwad property, he welcomed me with some well-prepared Bedouin tea, and our conversation was incredible. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all super delicious and abundant, perfect for recovering energy after the unbelievable jeep tour he took me on around the mountains in the Wadi Rum desert. 😍 I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys relaxing in quiet desert mountains, exploring new cultures, and engaging in activities like jeep tours or sandboarding. 😁 I am eagerly looking forward to coming back in the future!
All was ok!

Great experience with great hosts. The family welcomed us in their home where a very nice meal was waiting for us. The helped one member of our group who had a medical issue.
They then took us in one of their Jeep for a 4 hours ride among the spectacular scenery of Wadi Rum desert. Probably the best experience of our trip in Jordan, and something that we highly recommend to everyone.
Everything went great.

Thanks to Awwad for the perfect hospitality, you can find information about climbing routes from him in amazing Wadi Rum!

Lovely camp in the desert, with beautiful views. Very restful in the evening after a long day in the desert! There was a big tent with a fireplace, and great local food. Salim and his colleague were very welcoming and told us a lot about life in Wadi Rum. I slept in a comfortable tent. The breakfast was also very good. There is a bathroom with showers.
Nothing.

I really liked the hospitality of the family, who is running the camp.
Very warm and kind people.
Whenever I had questions or problems, they were ready to help me.
Also as a female solo traveler I felt safe and secure the whole time.
The camp itself is clean and cozy. It is in the middle of the desert so it is clear you can not have all the comforts that we are use to see in city accomodations. Never the less I found the camp nice and worth the price.
I liked everything, so there's nothing I didn't like.

Awwad is very nice, helps you to organize best holiday. Tent was comfortable, dinner at the fireplace drinking beduin the was a magical experience. They help you to arrive to the Desert from the village and are happy to show you their culture.
There was no towels in thr bathroom, just let people know so they are prepared to bring their own.

Wadi Rum Old Bedouin Camp met our expectations. Awad, the host, the nicest Bedouin I've ever met in my life, is a nice, caring man with a great sense of humor who takes care of his guest in every way. Here you can eat delicious food and have a good time. Jeep tour is professionally organized by him with a delicious lunch and a break for delicious Bedouin tea outdoors. Our all-day desert safari filled our senses and hearts with unforgettable experiences. We would love to come back here again.

I booked my stay at the camp and had a great time there. Awwad and his family are very welcoming and glad to share stories with you while sitting around a camp fire.
The camp is a bit further away from the village which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the desert at its fullest. When the sky is clear you can see the stars very well and you're not disturbed by any light pollution.
I also booked two jeep tours. One to visit the famous sites around and the other through the beautiful Barrah canyon.

Awwad and his family are great hosts who will do everything they can to make you feel at home and accommodate you. They can provide trips and advice for whatever you like to do.
We came to do some rock climbing and Awwad has good knowledge about where you can climb what type of route.
The food seemed very traditional to us and was great as well, breakfast, lunch (provided if you go on a day trip) and dinner.
We were slightly unlucky that due to the lack of sunshine during one day there was limited warm water. However because all camps run on solar power this is not something Awwad could've fixed for us.

We (two friends and I) booked the room first and were immediately contacted by Awwad. He and his brother own the camp. We then also booked a tour with him, which is not mandatory, but I can only highly recommend it. It was the best! He is so kind and caring and makes everything possible so you can have the best experience. We had a one hour camel ride, a jeep tour to all the interesting places and watched the sunset while enjoying freshly brewed tea. The food in the camp is delicious and the rooms and bathroom very clean with everything you need.

No complaints.

By now I can consider myself a bit of a Wadi Rum expert, having been there several times. Without taking anything away from the other camps, this is in the most beautiful position. Fantastic. Excellent dinner, in pure Bedouin style and an equally good and varied breakfast. The tents are very spacious. In addition, Awwad and Salem are truly great and rare hospitality. Full recommended!

Hosts were really friendly and Wadi Rum is just an incredible landscape. When I arrived, Awwad was there to pick me up from the bus station in Wadi Rum village and then went completely out of their way to help me figure out how to get Aqaba after my stay was over. The family that run the camp are super friendly and are very relaxed on the tours, letting us walk/climb around and enjoy the views at our own speed. Wadi Rum itself is awesome, there are some particularly cool canyons, views, springs and geological features which they will take you to, but generally just driving around is interesting itself. I was travelling solo, but I met a young couple and a family there who also seemed to be having a great time.
Tip: Bus from Petra to Wadi Rum cost 10 JD and left at 6:00am. The bus conductor took details of where everyone was going and made sure people ended up at the right place.

Best place to stay in Wadi Rum. If you want to live a local experience, you have to stay in Awad’s place.
He is very kind, a very nice guy, to chat with, and an incredible person. He is also a big football fan, so, if your team is playing, don’t worry about it, you will be able to watch the game in his TV.
His house is beautiful, with plants and a little farm. The food is amazing and super tasty (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Additionally, if you want to live your best experience in Wadi Rum, Awad’s camp is the best option.
No camps in the nearby, the facilities are extraordinarily good and new. Best part of it, the main room with it’s views in the desert, and a big and comfortable place to rest, read or drink tea.
Always choosing the right hours to visit the places with no tourists.
Thank you Awad for making our stay, one of the best experiences of our lives.
