Hello and welcome to Malibu!
Enjoy this contemporary oceanfront townhouse on quiet Malibu Rd. with amazing views from every room. Granite and limestone kitchen & bathrooms, living room with fireplace, spa tub, one-car parking, shared lounge/recreation area with bar, ping-pong and dart board.
A short drive or bike ride to all the great shopping and dining Malibu has to offer. In addition to the beach, there are lots of hiking/biking trails and wine tasting nearby.
You'll love this townhouse as it is spacious, quiet and private with ocean views from every room. It's laid out like a house and the master bedroom is amazing with huge picture windows that look out to the ocean. And at night, you can see the moon and the stars without even lifting your head off your pillow! There is air conditioning and heat so you will always be comfortable.
The townhouse has a keyless entry, which enables 24-hour check-in and the freedom from having to manage keys. Included with your stay is access to our beach-level recreation area that has a lounge, bar, ping-pong table and dartboard. There is also an outdoor shower.
In addition, we have mountain bikes for hitting the trails or riding into town.
This townhouse is located on quiet and star-studded Malibu Road. Most beachfront residences are on the Pacific Coast Highway, a four-lane highway that is both noisy and dangerous. Whether you choose this place or another, I highly recommend you choose somewhere on Malibu Road. Enjoy a short walk down the beach to Malibu Seafood where they serve the best fish & chips I've ever had! Or check out the tide pools on Flat Rock, just a few hundred feet away.
For stays that include a Friday or Saturday night, a three-night minimum is required between April 1 - June 30. A four-night minimum is required between July 1 - September 5, as well as Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. There is a two-night minimum stay requirement for all other reservations except for holidays. If you find available dates in our calendar between other bookings that don't meet these minimum stay requirements, we generally make exceptions to fill them -- just ask!
To preserve the tranquil environment for our neighbors, only confirmed guests are allowed on the property. No one else (including visitors) is permitted without my specific consent. For groups larger than four people, there is an added guest fee of $75 per person per night, with a maximum of six people total. The number of guests is closely monitored by our co-host and documented by video cameras in the common areas of the property. Guests not adhering to this House Rule will be reported to VRBO, and the guests' stay will be immediately terminated without a refund.
Should there be any unauthorized guests/visitors or any damage to the property (including interior/exterior furnishings, grounds, or landscaping) that takes place during a Guest's stay, the Host reserves the right to deduct the cost of these fees/repairs/replacements from the guest's security deposit.
As this property is located in a fire-prone area, smoking or the use of candles anywhere inside or outside the property is not allowed.
Professional filming, recording or photography at the property is only permitted with prior written host consent.
The guest who secures the reservation must be the same person checking in and must remain at the property for the duration of the stay. No third-party reservations will be honored and will be canceled with VRBO immediately with no refund.

I had family members of all ages at the townhouse. They enjoyed it.
The townhouse has a unique private beach between the unit and the next home on the street. It is far enough (~12 homes) from the nearby public beach that it remained fairly private.
The beach front itself is sandy, although there are some smaller smooth rocks as you enter the water. You can still easily swim and boogie board though. The public beach nearby has a sandier bottom. The waves don’t roll enough for surfing, but superb surfing is available within 2.5 miles.
We found the home to be very nice with the exception of a partially stopped up kitchen sink. The floor was a little discolored and warped near the sliding porch door, but it was not a big deal. The waves crashing near (and sometimes under) the home are really fantastic. The crashing waves can get loud but we enjoyed it. The deck, rooms, bathrooms, and lower common deck were all very nice. The common deck near the beach has great amenities including ping pong, kayaks, boogy boards, other toys, beach chairs, a bar, and plenty of seating area.
The host, David, was helpful and responsive. He was kind enough to introduce himself in person.
Good restaurants and a supermarket are 2 miles away. The home is on a nearly private road that is regularly patrolled and very quiet.
The only concern was the smell, which is blamed on the ocean. Maybe. I think it may actually be agents used by the cleaners. It dissipated quickly once the windows were open.

The property was very clean and check in process couldn’t have been easier. The host was very accommodating when we checked in, when we needed extra towels or had other questions. With one bedroom and in suite bathroom on the main level there is no need to negotiate stairs for those with ambulatory challenges except to go down to the beach. We made all our meals on site and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils and dishes/cutlery. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet beach house where you hear nothing but the ocean waves.

My husband and I stayed in this unit for a family get together with my daughter who lives in the area and my son and his girlfriend. We loved the property - we could walk on the beach for several miles and we could walk to Malibu Seafood and to a lovely hike nearby. The owner was extremely responsive and left coffee, water, and breakfast bars for us when we arrived. One of the best parts was the view of the ocean from the large windows and deck. We had a great time.

Couldn't ask for a better spot. Located on Malibu Rd a few houses down from Flat Rock, near Pepperdine. The surf crashes out front and light pours into the unit through floor to ceiling windows... The owner was great with communication from start to finish. The townhouse had everything we needed. The three bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with enough separation between for privacy within the unit (we had kids with us). Ralph's supermarket up the street without having to cross the highway. An amazing place in an amazing location.

Clean beautiful property as described on listing. Not great cell reception so make sure you get the WiFi. Uber rides are also hard to get in this area if you don’t book them ahead of time. Very quiet neighborhood. There is a great seafood restaurant easy walking from the house. Great tidepools to explore at low tide a mile or two down the beach towards Malibu pier. Fridge did freeze our food no matter how we adjusted this- but I’m sure the host could find a fix for this now that they know about it. Comfy beds too

We stay in Malibu during X-Mas break every year. This year we had our 2 teenage sons and their girlfriends which was a 2st for us. It was exactly what we wanted for this surfing family and we felt like we were on a cruise ship sitting on the sea 🌊looking at beautiful sun rises and sunsets every day. Location is off of PCH which was very quiet and peaceful near a shopping area for grocery and other. We went out to all the great restaurants which are located near by. The host was great and checked in on us and the house had everything you need to entertain and cook. It is a proper 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom so everyone had privacy and the layout of house was waterfront in every direction you looked. My only thought was why did I have to pay for 2 extra guests $ 75 per person when it was a 3 bedroom house. my recommendation would be if you are going to charge extra do it after 6 guests as it should include 2 persons per room.
Other than that I could not have asked for a better location/house and it made our trip.

This place is huge and perfectly located. Each of the three bedrooms is the size of a primary and has its own bathroom. My sister and I hardly used all the space. The waves are so loud here you can hear them all over the condo, it was awesome. Fireplace was an excellent touch for those chilly nights. It was easy to find and shops, eating and exploring are all very close. Plus, the beach is right on the other side of the slider. Contact with David was great and very helpful. Everything was spotless clean, and all the furniture and appliances were all very high end. I would for sure stay here again.

Gorgeous views and right on the sand. Loved hearing the waves at night and appreciated being on a quiet street. There were beach toys for the kids to play with in the rec area. And food & grocery nearby. The house has all the basic necessities, and bedrooms were spacious. The only cons are if you have small children, the upstairs loft has wide railing that could be hazardous. Other than that, having beach access steps away and the corner balcony were great! We saw dolphins & sea lions while drinking our coffee. Overall very enjoyable & relaxing

I stayed with a group of friends for two nights in Malibu and we couldn't have been happier with this property. Located directly on the beach, we could hear the waves crashing and watch the pelicans fishing all day long. James, the property manager, was responsive, friendly, and very helpful. I would go back to this property in a heartbeat!

This is as close to the water as you can be without being in the ocean. The condo is in a great location, Close enough to get where you want to go easily but far enough away from the crowds. I would definitely stay here again.

This place has amazing views and is right on the beach. However the condition of the townhome is not good. The floors have stains, the furniture is old and worn. The outside chair was broken and not safe to sit in. There are only a few dishes also in poor condition and scratched. The walls need painted, and the smell throughout was stale and old. This place is in need of a serious updates! For the price, I expected a top notch clean updated place. I will not be back here.

This is a really nice condo right on the beach. It's not too far from shopping, surfing, and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

So I’ll be as detailed as I can. First the good stuff. Great location. Easy beach access with empty lot next door which has great sand to play and sit in. Ocean directly in front is a little rocky. But you don’t need to go more that 500 yards to get into some good body boarding spot. Place was clean. Quiet. Not the not so good. You are greeted with fairly strong smell when you first go in. The best way I can describe it as like going to your grandparents Florida condo when you were a kid. So I would advise bringing or buying some air fresheners to help. You do get used to it as time goes on. Second, no laundry. So plan accordingly. Unfortunately there were very few towels either, which when combined with no laundry and beach location makes for a bit of an inconvenience. We also had to buy toilet paper as there wasn’t much of that either. Also be warned that the third bedroom is a partially walled loft. Right above living room with only TV. So that could be a pain . Good news is they don’t make you strip the beds on checkout. So overall a place with a great location, with a couple of things which could be better.

This place is incredible! I was here on a solo trip, so I only slept in the loft bedroom, but the bed is so comfortable and listening to the waves was a dream. You can also see the waves while you're laying in bed and look out into the ocean. Everything was clean and well stocked. Being on Malibu road is so quiet compared to PCH. I understand the strict rules about guests. The walkways are clean and quiet and if there were people coming in and out all the time it would really destroy that peace. I really can't say enough great things about this place so if you have the opportunity definitely rent it. I plan on coming back before the end of the year. Also, the maintenance gentleman is incredibly helpful and so nice.

This was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had and the ocean front nature of this property and the wonderful balcony were largely to do with it. It’s located on amazing sandy beach, off of the PCH providing for easy and quiet access. The beds were extremely comfortable, an endorsement made by every member of my party, even relieving my partners back pain that he normally gets while sleeping. David was reasonably communicative but never responded to a message before my last night asking a check out question and still is not responding to my report of the freezer making a very loud noise in the middle of the night. Overall though, I would definitely love to stay in this property again.

The listing was accurate as I wished to "get away" from noise and traffic. Looking out of the floor to ceiling windows makes you feel like you are on a ship. If you love to hear the ocean waves 24/7 then this is the place for you. The beach was accessible, as long as it is not a very high tide, to walk for long distances. Nearby restaurants were easy to get reservations and food choices are excellent. Felt safe here.

Perfect location! Beach feels like it’s private! House is amazing direct beach access. Wonderful views from anywhere in the house . Parking was perfect. Off the highway very quiet street . House has everything you would need ! Very close to restaurants Ralphs fresh market. Saw dolphins and sea lions every day. Uber was there in 20 mins any time of day. Beds are amazing . Don’t skip this place it’s worth every penny! Thanks Dave !!!

This is away from road traffic, nice and quiet. The kitchen and baths are fine - not great considering how expensive the stay is. And the living room is small as is the deck - only one full reclining chair. No hot tub. So the payoff is the view. I saw dolphins and beautiful sunrises and sunsets all from the deck.

Beautiful setting right on the beach. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Wonderful to see dolphins off the beach. Beds were comfortable and nice linens.
It was unfortunate however one of my friends could not make it due to the sudden hospitalization and death of her mother. We asked if we could do a date change to another time in early December that would have been available, but the owner said no that they could not change around dates. I found that odd and very disappointing as we were not trying to cancel just move dates a few weeks later so our friend could join us. Other VRBO hosts I have rented from have been way more accommodating when issues, this host is not so be aware.
Another weird thing, the power upstairs kept going off. The owner showed us shortly after we checked in how to flip the circuit breaker if it happened again. It did, extremely frequently. This was annoying as the air conditioning unit would turn off then and it was quite hot upstairs. Also lots of tiny ants in the unit.

You can’t get much better waterfront than this ! In fact almost looks like you are on a boat when you look out the windows. Everyday we saw dolphins and seals in the water. The location is perfect and since it is not directly in PCH you don’t have the traffic sounds that pch has. But you better have an appetite for the sound of crashing waves. Also a nice perk of activities on the bottom level at the beach - ping pong and cornhole were a hit !
