The location, reception staff and atmosphere were wonderful. The reception staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We had everything we needed from information to things being delivered to our room.
We struggled with the very slow service in the outside restaurant. We ordered a coffee and a small bite off the menu but took quite a while.
Our room though sufficient for what was needed, the carpet was in need of a deep clean with multiple dark stains by bed and bathroom. we also found socks under the bed when we entered the room?

Such a cool building. Really funky features and in a perfect location!

Recommended by a client, and good location for RAI and the city.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous detail. The rooms are very generous. The huge bed was fantastic.
The breakfast is not good value or quality

Ambrience and interior design
We arrived late after a flight cancellation and we couldn’t get anything to eat.
We booked a room with city views and the window in our room was high up in a corner and we couldn’t see anything… quite a disappointment.

Nice ambience, spacious room

Hotel is in an excellent location and the building is full of character. Our room (queen) was spacious and clean. The mini bar (non-alcoholic) and toiletries were replenished each day. There was a good choice for breakfast with interesting salads in the cold buffet.
Lighting in the room was good for atmosphere but poor if you wanted to read. None of the lights were well positioned for reading.

room very cramped, small sitting area

Very lovely classic Amsterdam building in a quiet location …..and you can open the windows. Plenty of good restaurants around including Jaspers 3-4 minutes walk. Private small garage for parking. Nice staff ….small garden area. All abundantly pleasant and well managed.
I didn’t like the restaurant much but probably just not my style. Breakfast minimalistic and not great

Hotel management
Some staff are still rude.

Lived the uniqueness of this hotel. Room upgraded without asking for it by very accommodating staff who called for a taxi for us for early morning pick up.
Location is out of the mayhem of center with lots of restaurants and easy walking. A really lovely place to stay.
I loved this place but the tub/shower I. our room was a steep step in and out which could have benefitted from another grab bar.

The history attached to this hotel is so interesting. From the moment we arrived until we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A very special mention to Don the bar manager - what a great front of house person he is! The college Hotel are richer for employing him! We came for a wedding and everything was perfect!

good location. pretty building. good terrace.
Bad value for money. paid over €900 for a 2 night (May, Wednesday to Saturday )stay. Service not up to this price. Breakfast buffet a bit sad but a la carte better. The staff were fairly unfriendly and unprofessional. We were given a room that was not that suitable as the bed was on a platform accessed by a steep stair mezzanine. It was not what we booked and on asking for another room we were only offered a downgrade of a small room with no discount. We were told ‘everyone loves that room, it’s the best in the hotel’) It’s a shame as there are some positive things to say about the hotel, but overall the attitude of staff and the awkward room did spoil things a bit. I notice prices vary a lot so perhaps it would have not hurt so much if the price reflected the experience.

Very good breakfast and helpful staff, good restaurant at the hotel

Good location, generous sized rooms. Nice bar area with good ambience in the evening. Didn’t eat in hotel as Caribbean menu did not appeal, staff v helpful in suggestions for restaurants and making bookings.
Terrible lighting in bathroom and awful pillows. Staff did supply alternative pillows but either too soft or too hard etc! Breakfast was below expectations for an Autograph hotel. No real butter, ran out of chopped fresh fruit, coffee machine coffee below standard. Staff levels low at breakfast time

Excellent staff, really lovely and eager to please. We were really impressed with them all.

Rooms nice and airy, very clean.
Able to adjust heat so not too hot.
Poor signage for lifts & stairs that take you to reception. We had trouble finding our way down as our room was at the back of the building so the lift took us to the bar & we could not get to reception from there. It was early in the morning so the external doors weren't open.
Please consider putting USB points in the rooms but this is a very minor point.

excellent location
noise from bar and outside smoking area when in our room
