Stunning locations and fabulous facilities offered to get around. Staff and food amazing!
The bed and pillows were a little too hard to be truly comfortable. We paid top dollar and the room was big, but felt value could have been improved.

The hotel has a beautiful view. It is situated high a top a mountain with views of the sea. The breakfast/dining room has stunning views of Mt. Etna and it is just breathtaking. The beds are comfortable and the suite we had was large and comfortable.
Getting down to town or anywhere is cumbersome. You have to rely on their shuttle which only leaves from the hotel every 2 hours. So you're on their schedule. They do pick you up from town, but it's the same schedule - every 2 hours. If you don't mind that, then it's fine. We like to come and go as we please, so it was a little inconvenient. In addition, I thought I had booked a luxury suite with doors that open to a large terrace overlooking the sea. When we first arrived, they put us in a suite with a small terrace and said we booked a category of room, not the room itself. So if you book, be prepared to get something a little different than the pictures. They did switch our room, but we didn't get the one I thought I was booking. They did try to accommodate us, but for the money, I might choose a different hotel, closer to town, or to the beach.

The view from public dining area was amazing! The front desk lady is very helpful. The shuttle bus service is great and make it easier to get to the town; also the driver is great man. We really like this boutique hotel.
1. We booked a suite, a beautiful room, but sadly it’s on the other side of the mountain; not the view of the town. still a beautiful view, but it wasn’t clear that the view from the suites is not of Taormina.
2. They charged parking around eur20 to 40 per night, which is understandable given the limited space on peak. We would appreciate if the hotel can make this clear upfront.

A stay at the Villa Ducale is all about the spectacular views of Taormina and towards Etna which had erupted only a few days before our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate fresh fish in the restaurant, also excellent. Lashings of hot water in the shower always appreciated.
We liked our room very much but would have appreciated a desk or table on which to put something down. There was no space for one. A request for an extra bed cover (it was cold when we arrived) seemed to cause some confusion but we got one in the end.

Villa was beautiful, restaurant incredible and the views were amazing! Most importantly the staff and GM were top notch. Thank you Daria and staff for making this a memorable stay. We will be back again for sure.

We had the pleasure of staying in an exclusive suite with a breathtaking sea view, which included stunning views of the coast and even Mount Etna. The terrace was incredible, equipped with two chairs and a large sunbed. The suite was spacious and comfortably accommodated four people with two beds in the living room. The room was also clean and well-maintained.
The location was quiet and perfect for those who enjoy walks down to Taormina center (approximately 15 minutes). However, please note that due to its elevated position, it may not be suitable for those who are not physically fit. Fortunately, there was a shuttle service available every two hours that ran between the hotel and the city center, making it easier for guests to get around.
The breakfast room offered an incredible view, but unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was only average at best. We were disappointed to find that several items were not included, including the typical Sicilian orange juice. Furthermore, we expected a more personalized service from a boutique hotel.
Despite this, we would still highly recommend this hotel, with the only downsides being the breakfast and the lack of a personal touch.

Location , stunning views , wonderful restaurant
The hotel charges high prices but fails on service and value. Linen not changed in 3 nights , consumables not refilled, hot water running out and team stuffy and fussy !! Make sure to check details very carefully as could be disappointed.

Breakfast was amazing with gorgeous views. Dinner was excellent even if appetizers were slightly overpriced. This hotel has great views and staff were very accommodating and helpful. There is a shuttle service that you can book for transportation to the local town.
Booked the luxury suite with sea view - separate building. The room has nice views, but it appeared much more spacious on booking.com and some of the photos did not match the room we stayed in. They have different rooms on display in the photos on booking.com so you don't know which room you are actually booking.

The view from this hotel is absolutely stunning - the atmosphere is warm and relaxed - the staff is amazing - thanks especially to Jessica and Max who were spoiling us every morning for breakfast - and the restaurant is outstanding.
The rooms in the annex are quite dark - with a view to the north - but the staff were very accommodating in letting us change room, so we were indeed satisfied.

beautiful views, good food. good shuttle service
it is a gorgeous place to stay. we had difficulty when the second room electronic sockets didn’t work, the bathroom wasn’t clean, and at checkout the staff member insisted on charging us twice being rude and not accepting bank statements proof we’d prepaid. I’m still waiting for over £700 in a refund from the property

stunning view from the restaurant/breakfast over Taormina. beautifully decorated inside and outside, especially the outside seating areas.
They ran a shuttle bus into/out of the old town every couple of hours which was a nice touch.
The bed was quite firm but I find most Italian beds firm.

our room (#15) was a dungeon, below level, dark, smelled mold.

the room itself was nice and the breakfast was good
our room was across the street and not the view we thought for the money. far from town and the shuttle service was very limited. we ended up having to cab back and forth.

Lovely staff super helpful as we arrived very late. Lovely hotel and great rooms, beds very comfortable. Super breakfast in little courtyard. Only minor issues were the pool is just a tiny little bath so some images are perhaps a bit deceiving, and during our stay in August we got eaten alive by mosquitoes in the courtyard - literally huge bites everywhere - so cream up! Not hotels fault just an observation. Highly recommended x
mosquitoes!

The price -quality balance, no elevator, the employees were tired and sometimes unprofessional, the absence of natural light within the room, poor chooses in breakfast, the location was far from the city
