We really like the family room and we would like to book again in future
Breakfast service was less organised and no natural yoghurt 🙈

Our second time here. Great location parking big bath. But the can do staff need the backing of owners
Previous good experience replaced with the reality that the building and service are on the slide. No heating in November of the bar area. Exsteror and interiors are past being tired. Inconsistent service. Old team is fabulous but let down by poorly trained new staff saw massive variation in cooked breakfast. Room service, not required but little evidence of their presence. Coffee tea changed one in 3 days. Bar glasses still in the room when we left.
The newish owners need to stop cutting corners and save this old timer or move on and let someone else who can.

I thought we were booked into the actual hotel part but we were in a little lodge that joined the hotel. It had its own front room with a full working kitchen and a spiral staircase that went up into a bedroom, which was spacious. It had a a nice sized bathroom, with nice little hand pumps of soap, shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. It also had a tv in the bedroom and down stairs. Staff were very helpful
Very tired. The beige carpets were heavily stained and I mean heavily stained. The place smelt old and damp. There were human hairs all over the bathroom sink. The head board was at an angle to the bed, when we woke up in the morning and felt it would of easily collapsed if we had stayed another night. The place did feel dirty. The little lodge, if it had a good refurb and new carpets would be lovely but sadly we won’t be going back.

Position. Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent and saved the day!
Building is tired and tatty. Badly in need of maintenance and investment. Beds were only moderately comfy. Water was hot, bedroom was clean, but overall it was only very average in terms of facilities and ambiance.

Don't know the lady's name at breakfast but she is a credit to the hotel, absolutely fantastic

Location was ideal for our purpose.
Breakfast was nice
Grounds was nice
Room looked rundown and in desperate need of renovation, bathroom door loose on hinges, water stains on walls and ceiling, mould around bath.

beautiful and convenient location. One member of staff on the front desk (I think his name was Mckenzie) was very polite and helpful, a couple others not so much! very easy check in and out.
unfortunately we had no hot water or pressure at all so showers were freezing and the bath was a bit dirty. one quite unfriendly member of staff.

the hotel is in a great location in the heart of Brecon, so perfect location. the rooms were nice. The breakfast staff member who greeted us for Breakfast (I think her name was Sue) was very friendly and was a joy to talk to.
the cleaning staff only came to our room late afternoon when we want to relax.

My wife at the moment is in a wheelchair so they managed to change the room to a small cottage which was perfect as I had requested an easy access room. The cottage was clean and tidy and the bed was huge! Breakfast the following morning was really good and the staff were exemplary. I explained my wife could not make the breakfast room so they arranged to have some breakfast sent over to the cottage. Staff could not have been more helpful. Would recommend
I was told they are waiting on Powys Council to approve plans to renovate some of the property, lets hope the Council don't take too long, it does need a make over but they have plans in place,.... Come on Powys Council!

Lovely location rooms clean and pleasant reception staff friendly and helpful
Breakfast was cold at 9 o clock lots were complaining so I just had toast.
I heard a server say to a customer when asked for bacon as there was none there
"It won't be ready for 10 mins in fact you can have it now but you'll have to have it raw"
This wasn't said jokingly and the lady was embarrassed

Breakfast was good, the usual continental and English breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was excellent as we stayed in one of the apartment rooms which is on two floors and has its own kitchen.
Dinner was lovely and the service excellent.
The decoration is beginning to look tired, but there is a large refurbishment scheduled for the end of 2023 which will resolve these issues.

Car park, location was good.
TV didn't work in the room, reported it and was told that it would be sorted, got back to the room later and was still the same. And the shower was terrible, would have been better to stand outside and hope for a bit of drizzle.........stayed her quite a few times over the past few years but the hotel is definitely going downhill, won't be staying again unfortunately.
