Really lovely decor, comfortable room.
The only downside was the shower - the pressure and temperature was not great.

Beautiful spotless property in great location with comfortable bed in lovely quiet room. All decor is extremely tasteful and luxurious. The hosts are attentive, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing - excellent quality and choice. Lots of very nice touches such as an honesty bar, fridge in room and fresh cookies and milk for coffee. A wonderful stay!
We loved it all!

My daughters and their boyfriends were given a warm welcome by Lewis, who is an excellent host. The property is clean, fresh, quirky and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we had an added bonus with Lewis offering my husband and myself to join our daughters for breakfast. It was wonderful!
Nothing.

I seldom write reviews, I cannot recommend The Earlsdale Bed and Breakfast enough. It exceeded all our expectations. James and Lewis have done a fabulous job creating a stylish and thoughtful venue. Food was fantastic, bed was comfortable, rooms were clean and the hosts couldn't be more accommodating if they tried. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
I genuinely couldn't fault it.

The last minute availability 8pm.
The hosts amenable welcome and attitude to their guests.
The unique and stylish interior decor
A pleasure to stay in a building where the owners had endeavoured to carry out sensitive renovation work.
The efforts that were made at breakfast with a delicious and hearty meal, with good quality products and home made cakes.
The extras like dvds and books for guests to borrow
A really lovely stay

A beautiful bed and breakfast decorated in a tasteful way. Every detail was considered and we couldnāt have asked for more from Lewis & James who were beyond accommodating and thoughtful. We especially enjoyed breakfast which was cooked perfectly, as well as the home made treats and accompaniments.

Beautiful guest house renovated to a high standard in a great location. A short walk into the town and harbour. Our room was perfect and the attention to detail was appreciated. We stayed in the Deluxe King which was spacious and tastefully furnished. This guest house is like a boutique hotel with two lovely hosts who ensure you want for nothing. Breakfasts were amazing especially the eggs Benedict! 10/10.
Iām a fussy one for sure but there is nothing negative to say about this place.

From our first arrival when we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome to our check out the stay was faultless .
The hosts Lewis and James are incredible friendly and see to every need for your stay .
The rooms are to an amazing standard of dƩcor and there is a feel of warmth and cosiness throughout the guest house.
Breakfasts were amazing with high quality cooked food and home made bread, muffins and cookies.
They also do vegetarian and vegan breakfast which my partners states was the best vegan breakfast she has ever had.
My full English was excellent top quality ingredients with the best mushrooms ever, very tasty .
The bed was very comfortable. the room also has a TV with an option of using your own tv subscriptions to watch tv if you needed it.
Rooms are very well cleaned.
Also if needed is a lovely raised garden seating area if you needed to relax in the sun.
I Just can not recommend highly enough in a few sentences .
But if there was a book written on the best guest house and how to manage one .
Then the Earlsdale will have the forward and be on the front cover . Out standing
Love John and Jan

Weāve just enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Earlsdale and have to say itās definitely one of the best places weāve ever stayed.
Lewis and James are fantastic hosts - so friendly and helpful.
Our room was beautifully decorated with a super king size bed and a large bathroom.
Breakfast was exceptional (thank you James!) - lots of choice with vegan and vegetarian options too.
We walked into Ilfracombe town, only 15 minutes on foot, where thereās plenty of things to do and see around the seafront and harbour.
Superb value for money and would highly recommend if youāre planning a trip to North Devon.
Roll on next year, weāll be back!!!

The only thing that could be better is a slightly larger double bed. Other than that you canāt fault it.

Very good selection of food for breakfast, the location of the hotel was a bit further away from main town, but was a easy walk.
Would have liked the bar in the hotel to stay open until till 10, as a lot of the shops and restaurants seemed to close by 8.30, so we would have probably have used bar, if it hadnāt closed at 9
