Superb breakfast. We had asked for extra parking and received a perfect response.
The town centre location proved really useful.
The service staff were really efficient, and very helpful
We coped with the steps in the building.

Clean welcoming great location
4.0
Clean and comfortable. Been refurbed but still needs updating. No lifts. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good Breakfast selection - hot & cold. Parking space available first come first serve. Supermarket very close by. Lots of good restaurants & cafe nearby. Ffestiniog train station 9 mins walk away. Black Rock beach 10 mins drive away.
The restaurant was a bit grumpy. Didn’t get much sleep first night as woman next door was banging on the door. Not the hotel fault but as the reception is a floor down no staff heard and so not dealt with it.
3.5
Good central location .
Good food in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices.
Good ev recharging facilities.
Rooms a bit small and poor wardrobe space
4.5
The Breakfast and dinners were excellent Especially the breakfast as there was a very good choice of food.
The size of our room was too small for the 2 of us especially as we were staying for 1 week. The toilet area and wash basin for shaving is also far too small. I was lucky not to hit my head on the shelf over the basin and break the shelf or hurt my head!
2.5
Very good location between the train station and high street and good selection of hot drinks in the room.
Both the room and bathroom are very small. The noise insulation seems quite poor - conversations outside the room can be clearly heard even if people don’t speak at volume and it is quite loud in the room when others use taps or bathrooms in different rooms.
The window leads out to a covered corridor, so it is difficult to ventilate the room properly and it seems quite stuffy.
3.5
Staff , good breakfast, on site parking
Hotel needs an upgrade. Very dated and overpriced

Great location. Lovely bedroom style. Good dinner and breakfast options
The shower didn't work at all. We're unable to shower whilst there, even after reporting to reception.
2.0
The location was great but there are better options in the same location.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable.
The staff at the dinner area wasnt very welcoming.
Breakfast was servered in smallest possible portions and you have to ask again and again if you have patience, time and luck to find the waiters.
Dinner was rushed and we were not served our drinks until the dinner was on table - i felt the staff didnt want people to take time to enjoy their dinner and drinks.
customer parking is a joke.. I stayed 3 days and found most of the car parks are taken up most of the day ... customers do not get enogh parking space and had to park outside on the street.
4.5
parking, large room, great tv, private outdoor area, quiet
I couldn’t call reception from my room phone I had to ring the hotel (but that was no big problem) maybe a drinks vending machine by the court yard rooms would be nice

Comfy warm room ,pleasent staff, nice bar, good breakfast, sheltered parking. Recommend…
3.5
staff very friendly free parking and great breakfast
small room. located next to the washing and drying room which I specifically asked to be kept away from. room moved and squeaked when people walked in corridor. hall light on all night shining through cracks in door

nice staff, good food, very helpful people. Plenty of shower gels etc, lots of little nice touches, but I wanted a warm room.
My room was so cold that I went to bed fully clothed. The room felt as if it had not been heated in a long time, I turned on the radiator on arrival, went for a meal and the room was still very cold on my return. The radiator was only warm in part. I asked for an electric heater which was quickly found, but the room took several hours to warm up. After a cold tiring day I was disappointed.
3.0
Breakfast was decent, the staff were friendly and the bar was OK.
Some of the hotel has clearly been refurbished, but a fair amount is still looking pretty tired. My main gripe was the 'power shower' in my bathroom. On Eco it was freezing, no matter what you did with the controller; and conversely, on High it was scolding, again no matter what you did with the controller.

Room excellent travelled with my disabled mother had a ground floor room with good disabled access
Had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely
Breakfast also good quality
4.0

Great Location for Golf, and both breakfast and dinner were very good
Car park a little tight
4.5
Breakfast and dinner were both very good; with lots of choice. Our room was comfortable and clean and with excellent facilities. The location is perfect for accessing the countryside, coast and surrounding attractions and the town itself has pleasant walks and places to visit.
The traffic outside was quite noisy from fairly early in the morning; but that is to be expected from a town centre location. There is covered parking at the hotel but this is limited. However, there is parking in the street adjacent to the hotel.

All the food served was very good, the location suited the us, the lounge, bar, dinning rooms were very nice, and under cover parking space a plus
No lift, we were on the top floor.

This is an older, more traditional style of hotel, but personally I prefer that. The facilities were all that one would expect of a modern hotel (except that there isn't a lift). The hotel is on the main street in the centre of town, but they had their own car park, so parking my car was easy. My room was very nice, and quite spacious. The en-suite was a good size. The bed was very comfy, with nice big pillows.
I had a drink in the bar (local beer - very good) and ate in the restaurant on both nights of my stay and was very pleased. The "head waiter" was particularly good - very efficient and friendly, without being over the top. The other staff were also very efficient and the food was very good. The breakfast was also very nice.
In retrospect, the price for 2 nights was quite a bit more expensive than other places (of a similar quality) that I stayed, but I couldn't fault the accommodation, staff or meals.
4.5
Location perfect, good parking, good breakfast.
High price for room.
3.5
Bar and dining room decorated well and comfortable, staff helpful and friendly.
Room was dated and bed not very comfortable, bathroom clean but In need of a new bath, tv was very small. Would have been useful to have a map of north Wales in reception.

Staff and food make this hotel and its such an ideal location with plenty of parking !
Our car broke down just as we parked up and we panicked because we didnt know how we were going to get home due to the bank holiday for the Queen funeral but staff were excellent and did there best to give us local garage numbers and we hit the jackpot when someone ( local taxi lady ) gave us Davies Local motor services, the mechanic was excellent and managed to do a temporary fix so we were able to get home :-)
Back to hotel this is a decent size hotel with a lovely bar and restaurant that all looks like its just been updated with lovely furniture and fixtures. I would recommend to book evening meal as the food and service were brilliant. The steak and lamb as well as the wild mushroom carbonara was all cooked to perfection and decent prices, would recommend the cheese board for dessert !!
Service from all staff including the young waiters and waitress were very good.
Breakfast couldnt be faulted, hubby had full welsh breakfast both mornings and he enjoyed it very much. I have the continental breakfast was lovely, the ham was wonderful but only 1 slice, maybe a little more of ham would have been nice but in all would still recommend , the crossiant was lovely and hot and enjoyed this with a fruity compote.
We booked a small double room and it was small but it suited us and was cleaned both days with lovely fluffy bath towels.
Location o the hotel is on the hight street and just a 10min walk takes you to the lovely harbour and train station.
Lots of shops and the chippy on the high street do a lovely chips and gravy/curry, the fish also looked nice but we didnt try.
We visited Portmeiron and had to book a taxi with the reception lady Sharon who recommended a very reliable lady driver who arrived on time to pick us up and also to take us back to the hotel. We loved the hotel and the area so will be looking to book again soon.
