Fantastic position, comfy bed and clean and modern facilities. Small but just we needed. Restaurants and shops all around us. Owner was very accommodating, even after we had accidentally booked the wrong night to stay. Super close to the beach and bus station as well.
Only problem were the thin walls between the neighbouring apartments. Bit noisy at night.

Nice old house with dito furniture, and a lovely quite swimmingpool
Little bit old smelling

Excellent location. Historic property.
We found the beds/mattresses across Portugal to be quite firm. The mattresses at the Alegre were no exception, though not the firmest of the trip.

The owner was gracious and very helpful.
The hotel is historic, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was lovely, housed in a room with a wonderful clock collection.

The grounds are amazing, as are the public rooms. Has a real vibe of an old building.
A very simply appointed room. With little amenities.

Very comfortable bed. Very clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Stunning location.
No aircon. Limited on premises parking. Smoke from the smoking on next door balcony came into our room.

Everything was great, stuff, breakfast, facilities...

The property is beautiful. We arrived after rain and the garden was lush and inviting. It was unfortunately too cool to use the pool (in late June - rainy week!), but it was still inviting. The hotel is historic with lots of character. we had the triple room and the shower was heavenly with lots of pressure (must be all that Luso water!). We had a lovely view to the garden. Breakfast was ample and diverse; very filling. The hotel is a short walk into town. We’d absolutely stay again at this property.
4.5
Great location. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was modern. It's not a big hotel so it has a homy feel to it.

Lovely old building but well maintained and very charming character. We can easily walk to the Termas Luso and the small village nearby. Breakfast is fresh and good items.

The atmosphere and furnishings of the hotel were incredible. I felt as it I were living in a grand home last century.
My room felt a little cramped but it did have a lovely outlook over the back garden.
