The staff is super friendly and helpful. Adriana in the restaurant ensured I left with a good impression of the kitchen after a bumpy start. The tour to Kohunlich ruins in the bike with Jesus was very nice and the evening kayak a great experience.
The premise itself could use a little lift. Pool seems small for the size of the hotel.

I love the place. It is m paradise.

Beautiful and unique stay in the remote jungle. Stylish comfy rooms with enough privacy and lush landscaped grounds teaming with bird life. The ruins of Kohunlich are not to be missed, the hotel provided bikes which we used to get there, it got sweaty but listening to the howler monkey along the road made it so worth it.
The weak house cocktails and the restaurant could have catered to vegetarian/vegans better.

Everything: awesome amenities, staff, food, rooms, location
No Wi-Fi in rooms

Staff was very friendly in helping to create a nice breakfast for us as vegan.
Could have more vegan options, such as scrambled tofu.

to much noise and people at the pool

The location, in the middle of the jungle and close to the ruins of Kohunlich. The planets growing around the houses are really beautiful.Staff is helpful and friendly. What we really liked are the excursions offered by the hotel. The night kayaking trip at Lake Chacambacab is highly recommended!
The tables at the pool area could be cleaned better. Also when we checked in, the receptionist did not tell that excursions were possible. We only found out by accident that we had been signed up.
Furthermore, I would recommend the hotel to invest in an espresso machine. I heard many people asking for espresso or cappuccino and they only serve coffee from thermos flasks (and sometimes even lukewarm).

We loved everything! This was our second time to this hotel and it was again superb. The daily included activities are amazing and led by very qualified guides. All good and drinks, including alcoholic drinks, are included and delicious. The pool is fantastic. These are the best beds and pillows in Mexico. We will definitely be back!

We loved everything. The hotel is in the middle of a jungle. Nice property, kind staff and good service. We can only recommend the hotel 😁
1.5 / 5.0
The property is located in the jungle.
It was impossible to communicate with the hotel prior to our arrival, nobody was answering from this platform nor their emails or phones. The property is heavily outdated and old, it is obvious no investment has been made in the past 15 years. Furthermore, the staff do not speak English. The food is bad, everything was processed and sugary and the hotel has very poor vegetarian or healthy options. The hotel felt rather like poorly managed all-inclusive group vacation, we came to realise that vacant hotel spots are being sold at massive discounts on cheap all inclusive platforms leading to a cheap all inclusive atmosphere with overfilled pool fool of screaming crowds of children, a self-serve bar with beer cans and even the hotel staff being seated on the table next to you during dinner to have a quick meal. I would not recommend this hotel if your looking for relaxing and understated luxury.

Great location, very friendly and welcoming staff, food is excellent especially bearing in mind this is an all inclusive resort. Free tours are well organized, such as a kayaking trip to a nearby lake with guide and dinner by the lakeside.
The nearby ruins of Kohunlich are an easy 2 km on bikes that are available, so you can be the first to enter which is amazing.
The interior of the room is a bit dated but to me it added to the off the beaten track and outdoor feel of everything

The privacy of the rooms, the staff, the location. The beds, sheets and pillows were wonderful.
The food wasn't bad, some of it was pretty good, but it wasn't outstanding either and much was just so-so. Perhaps more vegetarian choices. The "hot tub" was constantly filled with guests and noisy children, so we never had a chance to use it. It's about 20 years old, so some things need a little freshening.

Fantastic design offering maximum jungle and privacy with amazing luxury! The food was very good. Also like the daily tours. Enjoyed 2 massage services which were good.
Too much meat on the menu. Loud children at pool and dining area.

Spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed the experience as we never do all-inclusive. Food was pretty good (breakfast and lunch surpassed dinner), the room was spacious and comfortable,
the pool was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. While WiFi isn't available in the rooms it is throughout the lobby, restaurant and pool area and was reliable and fast.
Not much written information i.e. no menus so staff have to read out everything each mealtime which felt tedious! Cocktails weren't great (there is a self service bar but it lacked many mixers etc, only spirits and limited sodas) and difficult to find staff during mealtimes as they were so busy.

What to say? Everything was amazing! All-inclusive food & drinks (including alcohol) were delicious and plentiful. The daily included excursions were so rad: one day we went with one other family to the Dzibanche ruins and had the entire complex to ourselves. The guides are knowledgable and helpful. We all spoke good Spanish which definitely helps as I think we gained more knowledge from the guides listening to them in Spanish. The room is so freaking comfortable, with a door in the shower leading into your own private backyard. I got a massage from Gladys that was perfect. My husband & friends did a temescal ceremony and loved it. It was also really nice being in a hotel where the majority of the guests are either Mexican nationals or people living in the States who were originally from Mexico as we got to interact mostly in Spanish (unlike other touristy areas of the Yucatan where you feel like you could be in the US).

Location is perfect to discover all things from Bacalar to Calakmul. Architectural concept and bungalows are beautiful. Staff is very friendly. Food quality is good - choice of 2 options each in a 3-course dinner. All prepared fresh and extra requests are fulfilled.
The original concept of Tranquility, Peace, Quiet including no TV nor WiFi in the Bungalows, No mobile network....but.....
This used to be an adult-only tranquil hotel. We expected a quiet place (our reason for booking)
But it’s not anymore. At least during Easter there seemed to be more small children than adults, making the pool an restaurants crowded and very noisy. Since WiFi is only available there, all kids around us were entertained with their own noisy “TV show”. A relaxing dinner was not possible.
We cut our stay short and left early.
