Nice clean hotel, free WiFi, great breakfast.
Had to pay to park, some staff could have been more welcoming. Toilet in the room has a problem with the flush, which we reported but wasn’t fixed.
4.1
Nice hotel
Prive for having a small dog-£35 is ridiculous and was also not clearly annotated when we booked-was dropped on us at check in…
4.1
The staff were very nice and have a warm welcome, room was soo clean and spacious, and the location is easily accessible even with public transport.
The television was not a smart one, I would have enjoyed some cool music on youtube.

Got passed to second person as first couldn't check me in but second person did it fine. Room perfectly pleasant. Deluxe room decent size. Got concierge to book a taxi next day and arrived in fair time. Breakfast staff helpful and efficient.
Was given a connecting room and there was more noise carry from the connecting door than desirable. As business hotels go it was all fairly standard/fine. Gold card comes with "free" premium wifi but wasn't given details of how to use it.

The pool and spa area
They put us in a room above a function. Base from the music was keeping us awake until 1 am. I had to ring down 3 times to try and get it to stop. This is extra bad as they advertised it to be a great place to stay for the reading half marathon. Completely unacceptable if im honest.

Booked as convenient for running the Reading Half Marathon. Room was very clean, staff helpful and friendly and good food available in the restaurant.
Sadly controls for the TV in the room were not working properly - after 10 minutes of trying eventually gave up but not a major issue for our stay and therefore didn't bother reporting it at the time.

Lovely pool area and the rooms are clean and comfy
Breakfast is a bit expensive and we arrived for the half marathon and was told that we would have some food and drink at the reception area. When we asked in the morning they said it was there at 5am and now it was £9 for a bag of water with a cereal bar. The receptionist wasn't super friendly either. I forgot a hair brush and they didn't have anything behind the reception spare and the shops are not close by.

Spacious, clean, modern hotel in quiet residential area. Lovely gym and swimming pool. Majority of customers are adults.( We had no children in our group.) Very courteous staff. Excellent quality and choice at breakfast. Evening meals acceptable quality but not restaurant standard.
On a complicated road system around Reading. I don’t see how you could visit this hotel without a car, yet you have to pay parking. No local amenities because the hotel is on a housing estate. The piped music was monotonous and sleep inducing in all the public areas and corridors, and went round on a loop so you heard the same monotony repeatedly. Apparently, they are sent a disc by a company and have to use it.

Local to all amenities.
Being told on arrival that we had to pay for parking which was not detailed when booking the hotel.

Clean and warm rooms, as expected. Good breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Long waiting time for check in, the forms to fill in for each room booked, only one soap/shampoo small item provided for a double room.

I didn't get to use the pool or other facilities so can't comment on those.
None . Liked the hotel

Breakfast is amazing so many options. The hotel is nice and clean.
Unfortunately you now have to pay for parking and it used to be for free

Breakfast was exceptional room was very comfortable and all staff were very friendly
When booking back in January parking was free however on arrival I was made to pay an additional £20 what left a bad taste in my mouth going away feeling I was robbed and had no choice but to pay

Clean, staff very helpful.
It claims to be pet friendly, yet if you want to dine, then you have to sit in the reception area and eat off a low coffee table, or off your lap. Back in October 2023, we stayed in Hilton Garden lnn in Abingdon, and they provided a dining area where you could eat with your pet.
Watch out for the additional parking charges. When l booked through booking.com, there was no mention of this!

Stayed before and was great hence went again
Rooms were not close.
Hotel is in housing estate. Not very picturesque. Bedroom view was housing estate.

The food and the staff were good and the location to the reason why we were in the Reading area suited us.
We had a slight delay in receiving our food (Dinner) apparently was due to a function being held, though we praise the staff for advising that there would be a delay in receiving our food due to this situation.

Perfect location, great breakfast, free car parking, hotel interior, bedroom was nice.

This time I sampled room service. First class
If I had to pick something it would be the £5 tray charge on room service. I think this is greedy for a big chain like Hilton and stops guests tipping the staff. If there was no tray charge I would have given that £5 to the guy who delivered the food

The room property are very comfy and well looked after
The staff at dinner gave me no attention and I ended up walking out, very poor !!
4.1
The room was spacious, and the bathroom was excellent.
The air-conditioning unit needed instructions! I'm not keen on feather pillows and quilt, but I guess I should have asked for them to be changed.
4.1
The rooms were lovely and next door to each other as requested. The breakfast was very good. All areas were spotlessly clean. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, the maitre d' at breakfast was excellent, the bar staff in the evening were less helpful
If you're travelling with pets the Hilton pet policy feels like it is reluctant, and not as welcoming as many other hotel chains. We understand that not everyone likes dogs and that many people prefer to stay in places where pets are not welcome. However, if you are going to offer a pet policy it is a bit of a slap in the face to be told that you have to sit in the corner of the lounge on a low sofa to eat your breakfast so that you don't upset any other guests. It would be better, if Hilton really wants to welcome pets, if an area is designated as pet friendly, probably with a hard surface rather than carpets, so that guests with pets can be treated exactly the same way as guests without pets. Guests without pets then do not have to sit anywhere near animals. If you don't want to upset your other guests, don't have a pet policy. The hotel was lovely, but the pet policy is a compromise that the staff obviously have difficulty making and guests who have paid the same as everyone else, with a pet tax on top, end up feeling ostracised.

Clean & tidy. Plenty of on site parking.
Value for money. Very expensive. Not much different to a budget chain hotel, the addition of a fridge in the room doesn't really warrant the inflated cost.
4.1
Convenience location with free parking, very clean and polite, helpful staffs
Cooked food especially bacon might be overcooked. Overall still good with food

The pre arrival telecom and welcome by receptionist Janna was excellent. She was very customer care oriented and nothing was too much trouble. Great hotel, nice big room, comfy beds and smart bathroom. OXBO Restaurant was excellent...great food at breakfast and evening meal. Cocktails were terrific too.
Improved choice of draft beer would be good. Restaurant staff could be a little more attentive. Otherwise all excellent!
4.1
the room was great, breakfast was well-managed considering the crowd
