- Location
- Noisy, cpuld hear the noise from the street even with the windows closed. Also, the noise from adjiacent rooms (baths, etc) is more than annoying.

Very central location, the Bear Park and the Rose Garden are in short walking distance, free public transport throughout our stay with the Bern ticket. Very good breakfast with Swiss cheese, sustainable in terms of not wasting food by presenting an overload. Nice decor with nostalgic touches. Staff is very nice, and we liked the personal touches (suitaces were taken up to our room once it became available, handwritten welcome note in the room).
No AC in the room (which is perhaps owed to the historical location and building restrictions, not the hotel itself), and an electric fan was placed in the room.

The location is great very close to restaurants and shops but nice and quiet in the room.
Clean and comfortable

Gorgeous traditional hotel in the centre of Bern. The room was well laid out with everything thought of. The beds were comfy and the room facilities were great. The hotel is in a perfect location for your trio to Bern!

The room looked very very different from the site

Great staff

The room was incredibly quiet considering we were so well placed for the centre of the Old Town. Breakfast was exactly what we like - fruit, cereal, croissants - and we did not require anything else.
I believe the reception was closed quite early in the evening, but for us it wasn't a problem as we didn't need anything. Also the paintwork was a little "tired" in places and in need of refreshment.

Great location - loved the authentic feel of hotel.

Hotel Belle Epoque is situated in a very strategic area. Near restaurants, city center, tram, bus and easy accessibility to the center and main train station.
The cobbled stones walkway and the old town is very IG worthy.
If you want to experience the old town homes, Boutique Hotel Belle Epoque it is. Spacious room and bathroom.

the room was nice and its clean. the location of the hotel was good, we visited the City on feet.
There was not much variety of food in the breakfast. More options could have been offered.

very friendly and helpful staff. great location. cute old building.

it’s the perfect location. was clean and very spacious.
parking situation they need to make a bit clearer for those attending as it caused substantial stress. furthermore, an iron and black out blinds that cover the entire window would make it better. however, shouldn’t overshadow a great place.

location good, staff overall were great.
tiny old shower with lots of mold & mildew, uncomfortable beds & awful pillows
3.5
Great location for the old town and to visit the bears. Comfortable beds, the room was ok but had no view from window - having said that it was quiet even with the window cracked open.
Very expensive breakfast..... could have done with a different second pillow on bed. Also more plug sockets better positioned or some USB charging points would have been nice.

Amazing and accessible location, 10min using the tram and walking from the central station, right in the historic center. The staff was impeccable. The room was super clean, tidy and spacious.
Because there were happening some Carnival celebrations and there were festivities both in the hotel ground floor and the street I didn't get the best night sleep. Despite this fact I believe it would've been a great night otherwise.

The hotel is a part of history in the old town section of the city. it’s no more than a mile walk from just about everything you could want to do in Berne. plenty of eateries just minutes walk from the front door and a nice little cafe in the hotel for breakfast and lunch or a late afternoon snack.
The room was pleasantly large and accommodating.
in suite bathroom and large closet. Bed was very comfortable. The staff was great and worked hard at helping you with anything you were needing.
The only Negative I believe is not having someone at the front desk 24/7. They have a number to call if something happens or is needed but I believe that for being a 4 Star Hotel there should be that amenity of service 24/7. But that would not preclude me from staying here again.

great location
very helpful staff
all was very good

Very centrally located and the staff were friendly and trying to be helpful.
The main issue was that there was no warm water in our room. Besides that I would say everything was a bit so so, the entrance looks shabby and the room furniture in need of updating. There was also a fly in our bathroom which we thought a bit gross and not suggestive of the best cleaning standards one would expect in Switzerland.

beautiful and scenic location. easy access to walk through all of historic old town bern. very friendly and competent staff. quiet enough to sleep through part of the day with no disturbances.
a bit far from the train station to walk, but this was not a dealbreaker

The location is great 👍🏾, the was relative quiet although our room was on the street side. For breakfast I have to pay SF 19 per person, was quite ok. The staff at the breakfast room is very nice. There note that tell you how to get the warm water.
The lights are too deem, it hardly to read. The floor is too cold. The parking was so expensive SF67 for two night! They don’t give you discount for the parking fee as they promised, the staff send us to other place, opposite the hotel cross the street to get the stamp! At the end you have to pay the full price for your parking.

Location
Generally rundown interior, ie. hole in the carpet just outside the room door. Grout mold in shower and bathtub.
