Staying at Hotel Chesa Spuondas is a relaxing alternative to choosing something in downtown St. Moritz. The gardens and woods are soothing and it's interesting seeing and using the old ground floor public rooms such as the library. One of the gentlemen servers in the dining room was extremely friendly and attentive. The evening meals were small but interesting and tasty. The walk into town took approximately 40 minutes along a very pleasant mountain path.
We were seated at a corner table in the main dining room, immediately adjacent to a large center table seating approximately 16 guests attending some kind of conference. They were polite and not overly loud, yet their mere presence took over the small dining space. We somehow felt like we wanted to get in, eat, and leave. The advertized nice interaction between guests never truly materialized. The room itself was very plain. It was also located on the 3rd (Swiss 2nd) floor with no elevator, so for those with heavy bags a request for a room on the 2nd (Swiss 1st) floor would be recommended. This is not the best hotel for guests without a car. We were overcharged by the taxi outside the St. Moritz station for the initial ride to the hotel, although the hotel did help arrange a better price for the ride back to the station on our departure.

Exceptionally beautiful. The views are stunning. Rooms are filled with character.
You have to be ok without traditional hotel layout. I personally didn’t miss it.

Wonderful room and fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend.

Super friendly staff. Beautiful building located just above St. Moritz, within a convenient walking distance. The living room and the library created a really special atmosphere, where it was easy to interact with other people (if desired). We were staying with a 6-month old baby and everything needed was provided (baby cot, Stokke Newborn in the restaurant). We could park at the property (in front of the house).
The beds were relatively narrow and squeaky - no problem for us, but it was difficult to make sure our baby don't wake up.

friendly staff
good scenery at room balcony
lacking facilities inside the room: no Wi-Fi ,no coffee or tea bags ,no hot water machine ,slippery and high bathtub, minimal toiletry

Staff: polite, kind and welcoming
Mattress so uncomfortable.
Terrible sleeping
4.3
Very nice accommodation and pleasant staff.
4.3
Nice library and window view
The staff could add a check-in luggage storage (our bags were placed in front of the bathroom for 3h)
WiFi in the room did not allow WhatsApp calls, quite weak
4.3
Not even a coffee maker in the room. Old property with no lifts or help. Every single things is charged extra including if one takes an extra apple during breakfast. Sad and frustrating experience

Beautiful old house turned into a hotel. We loved the beautiful rooms and the area. We went on several hikes in the breathtaking countryside surrounding the hotel. Very friendly staff.
I'd wish for earlier breakfast.

Fantastic breakfast buffet. Loved the large dining rooms. The Art Nouveau decor made you feel like you were in an exclusive villa. Our ground-floor room was perfect for us. No issues with shared bathroom. Other guests were respectful; we were not disturbed by excessive noise.

Super quiet location

The place comes straight out of a time machine, in the good way. Old traditional housing atmosphere and hospitality is combined with modern ways of living (booking flexibility, wifi). The staff was extremely helpful when it appeared we made a wrong reservation, we arrived one day to early, they assembled some beds in a little but clean room so we could stay instead of finding another place. only good words for them.
Nothing, it was just as expected, only better.
If you don't like a classic approach, with human touch to it, this is not for you.
I would only recommend.

The location was superb: set within a forest area, within walking distance to the lakes and St. Moritz centre, as well as the gondolas. We were here for three nights in July for mountain-biking and it was a perfect location to reach the gondolas and even better at the end of the day when it was only a short ride from the end of the trail to the hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel had an old-time charm that is difficult to find. we also had our dog with us and had no issues.
nothing

Beautiful place, very friendly and helpful staff, gave us tips where to go for hike, also got card that allowed us to use local transport and cable cars for free, very tasty breakfast and dinner, comfortable beds and cosy place. Internet worked well
