The room size was good and the spa was good.
No aircondition in the room or facilities while it was very warm outside.
4.5
Everything was excellent
There was no ventilation inside the bedroom itself but it went fine as at this period of the year we can open the window and the temperature outside was rather cool for summer. There is here a potential margin of improvement :)

Reilly weird eco style

It was a quiet place
The mattresses were separate and not a double mattress, it was very uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep.

The castle like building.
Breakfast is excellent.
The Beds are perfect with extra pillows.
A big pool.
The squareface staff at the reception.
The Dinner Buffet, The food are bland.

The staff were wonderful and the absolute best breakfast in dusseldorf

Personnel was always positive, welcoming and accommodating. I was doing some work, and they allowed me to use their conference rooms for making a couple of confidential work calls.
Fantastic space also for working by the outdoor pool.
Being an old building with thick walls, might be challenging to get good wifi signal in certain areas. While on one side I would have preferred working in my room, the lack of internet forced me in the lounge or other areas. And that turned into a positive thing..

The Breakfast is very varied and excellent quality.
The attempt to give the impression of an alternative and green Hotel is good but unfortunately the structure has its years and need a serious and deep renovation. The room that was assigned to me lacked a lot of cleanliness and space despite being of a superior category. The price paid is not worth the service given.
3.5
The fortress like building gives a stay there a special touch. The room was amazing and the bed probably one of my best hotel beds ever! The location is nice and even though it is not directly in Düsseldorf we could easily reach it by public transport.
The outdoor Spa area is really nice with the lake and 2 small but modern saunas.
The indoor Spa area is rather outdated and water in all the pools was way too cold (even the small 'warm water' pools had us shivering after a few minutes). There was also some construction going on next to the only resting area - it would have been great to get a warning for that.

super nice property from the outside, shared spaces very nice
rooms are worn out or only partly renovated, bath facilities are old / cheap
staff in restaurant guided the way to the good Buffett but still we had liked an a la carte option.
breakfast was ok but the cook couldn’t prepare an omelette as he sat with us in the guest area playing on his mobile for one hour?? also the coffee bar which looked very promising was not staffed in the morning ? disappointing

The style of the property is special
no clear signs to show where is the right room, gym or any rooms;
Mobile signal is really really weak, even hard to make a phone call.
3.5
10 of 10 for Lobby, restaurant and common zones of Hotel, very stylish. Excellent choice at breakfast. Huge and diversified fitness&sauna area. Good idea with quotes from writers and philosophers on the walls in corridor.
Too ascetic room furnishings, small bathroom with old facilities. But everything worked properly.

Great concept, great story-telling

Spa & Wellness
Restaurant, lack of choice for food. No snacks available for the room.
No bar open to guests. Terrible wifi. Virtually no mobile phone coverage.
3.5
-- Spa area very nice, although almost the entire sauna area is closed due to Covid
-- Place has its own historic charm
-- Good gym!
-- Staff semi friendly at front desk
-- Breakfast could include more healthy options (e.g., sliced chicken breast, rice cakes, etc.)
