Spa was closed for a few days of our trip. And only one restaurant open.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir konnten auch nach dem Check-out noch Zeit auf dem herrlichen Hotel-Gelände verbringen. Super Frühstück.

Shame only one choice of restaurant in the evening

Beautiful place, great facilities. We loved it! The pools are various and fantastic. We used the resort's bicycles and cycled far along the beach promenade, that is very nice and beautiful. Malaga province is very smart about constructing a long, winding, natural beach promenade that will eventually connect Malaga city with the last town on the western edge of the Malaga province, Manilva. It is lovely and a tourist draw. The hotel is right on this promenade. In parts along the coast the beach can get narrow and at times rocky, so this winding, natural promenade more than compensates for those shortcomings. Smart move Malaga.
We originally booked a deluxe room for 3 and had to book an extra room shortly after check-in for additional children that joined our group from another resort that was further away than we originally thought. We opted for a basic room for the children. The basic room was very expensive but still half the price of our deluxe room. The basic room was exactly like our deluxe room, but with a slightly less nice view. The deluxe price was not worth it. I also missed an email from the hotel offering us a completely upgraded suite for only €169, so make sure to check your email for any deals.

I liked the breakfast, the cleaning service in the room and the garden.
The hotel is situated too far to walk to any town and you don't have anything to do in the evening, except going to dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
4.1
Beautifully decorated hotel in a lovely setting.
The Beach isnt the best and it’s very difficult to walk into the sea bare foot. A timber path or small jetty going out into the sea would really elevate things.
4.1
Proximity to the sea and the cycle /walk path
Toilets too far from the pools
4.1
Spacious, clean, smart and quiet
Nothing in particular

Breakfast excellent.
My room was dark facing entry to the garage. The hotel needs one more attractive restaurant. Spiler at the playa is very good, but not sufficient.

The hotel was very beautiful with pretty views.
Our room had multiple things that were broken and that should've been taken care of prior to our arrival. Only one restaurant was actually open out of the 3 when we came.

The lady in red, Beyonka, the guest relations manager, she was a wonderful lady who impressed me a lot. She gave a personal touch to the whole experience, a very classy lady who represents the best of this hotel, the spirit of hospitality, understanding of people and their needs, providing the best to guests within her ability and authority. Excellent! She is an asset to the hotel.
The hotel is good in general, facilities, staff and location. I am satified with the experience.
At check in, the receptionist, a French lady called Cristel, if I am right, obviously was quite rude. She said to us that we had booked a room with street view. Obviously it was not true, I clearly remembered that I booked a room with sea view( knowing myself that I would not come to the sea side to look at the street). I did not contest that as I was too tired from a whole day of travelling. Then she said that I could pay an extra for a room with sea view, which I obeyed.
However, this not about money, I really want to know why a guest could pay an extra of 50 Euro at the reception to get a room with sea view, while on Booking.com, it was not the case, everything was specified including the types of room, with or without breakfast, the size of the room, the view or with or without balcony This is a question that I would like to have an answer for. Obviously, the receptionist did not need to talk down to me, she could have explained to me, and showed me the prices of different types of room. I am experienced enough to understand all these matters. Her attitude and behavior showed that she was not up to the job, especially at a classy hotel like the Kempinski. She has to understand that guests who come to stay in this type of hotels have a certain level of education, they might not like to argue about these matters, but they can immediately feel the lack of courtesy and education of the hotel staff. What a shame.

Great staff!!! Nice breakfast with a lot of choice, very clean and nice rooms. The swimming pool, terrace and restaurant: +++
We will go back!
The fact that we had to pay €45 for a sunbed, even for guests of the hotel, is actually not correct for a hotel of this class.
4.1
comfortable setup, compact complex. spiler bar/restaurant is great - superb food.
heated outdoor swimming pool was not warm (25 degrees centigrade). the staff was friendly but the overall quality of the service is below my expectation. not a great value for price.
4.1
Everything was clean and well maintained. House keeping were excellent.
The pool was not advertised as being 1.3 deep and up to 1.6, which was tricky with a small child. There is no children’s pool on site. The beach was not well maintained in front of the property so you could only sit within the grounds of the hotel.
