On the seafront and in house bar/restaurant.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite, beautiful view and lovey room!

Reception, restaurant, staff were excellent and attentive
The outside looks tired and damaged
The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable

El desayuno es fantástico y la ubicación excelente.
Solo eche de menos el servicio de lavandería

The wonderful view of the sea from our room, it’s elegant inside, the rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable.
It looks a little dilapidated on the outside, the pillows are not the softest and there is no parking

Staff were very welcoming. The evening meal and breakfast was very tasty. Rooms were very spacious, clean and a comfy bed.
The main shower head wasn't powerful enough. The bar closed quite early and room service didn't appear to be available later in the evening.

We had a superb room with a fantastic view from the full sized sash window. The room was a great size and spotlessly clean. Staff were magic and the breakfast was excellent.
Not a lot wrong here!

Everyone in the staff were absolutely amazing! Smiling, nice and helpful.
The hotel is old but very charming, clean, great beds and pillows.
The bathtub was quite high to climb into to have a shower.
Apart from that nothing, just a few thoughts.
The rooms could have more soft lighting, just a suggestion.
On a Thursday night, everything in town closed early, including the hotel bar. It's probably just how it is, but it would have been nice to be able to have a drink after dinner out.

Lovely large room with a seaview. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple of times. The food is excellent. A very comfortable stay.
The bathroom lacked a shelf to put our toilettries. Just one tiny shelf above sink.

+Clean, right at the beach, nice breakfast
-Were promised a room with frontal sea view, got one with limited sideways sea view.
- breakfast restaurant staff forgetting about certain plates/requests
- building outside (facade) but also inside (e.g. lift) could use some qualitative updating

Perfect location with a sea view
Staff were so attentive & helpful from reception, bar staff, waitresses & housekeepers
The breakfast was one of the best we have experienced
Nothing at all it was exceptional

Really nice, feels like and independent hotel, not part of a chain. Staff particularly friendly and welcoming. Superb location on the sea front, ideal for stroll on the beach and promenade. Good value - cheaper than a Travelodge ! Details (eg in the room) nicely done, and superb comfortable bed. All immaculately clean. Good breakfast. Good lift.
The 'modern' decor of a Victorian building is a bit brash. No quiet lounge space.

location, clean room , great grandeur , good size, nice staff , fantastic breakfast. be great for a wedding etc
outdated room, facilities not great(no trouser press) lighting in room could do with extra “mood” lighting

Very nice hotel to stay with the family. From the minute you enter all services meets the 4* expectations. The food is so tasty, hily recommend it. Breakfast pancakes was so delicious. Recommend to have burgers for dinner. Very well designed, staff excellent. Will be back.

Terrific breakfast. Pity about the parking.

great location, freshly decorated rooms, big breakfast! easy to park outside (check meters for prices!)
looks a bit sorry from the outside, but you would after 150 years in all weathers by the sea - don’t let that out you off because it’s lovely inside
8.0
Great location. room was clean and staff friendly.
comparing it to hotels I have stayed in past it was a little overpriced. This may be due to the excellent location but I would expect for parking to be included in this cost. Charged an additional £5 per day.

Clean room with a jug of water, great touch. The Full English Breakfast had great tasty ingredients and was served piping hot.
The coffee served in the morning was only warm and not hot however was only this that was dissapointing as rest of breakfast was superb

Receptionist was excellent - very friendly and helpful
Disappointed with the restaurant menu. Although the food was good, we felt there could have been more variety on the menu.

Nice and spacious
THERE WAS NO HEATING IN THE ROOM. THE RADIATOR WAS COLD. PHONED UP RECEPTION TO HEAR THAT THEY CAN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. NOT EVEN OFFERED A PORTABLE HEATER INSTEAD. IN THE MORNING ALL WE HEARD WERE APOLOGIES ALTHOUGH THE LADY MANAGER SEEMED TO BE NICE. Paid 289£ for a cold room!
