The comfort and the location. Very quiet but convenient as all amenities within walking distance.
The decor! Strange.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Lovely mushrooms etc - but why spoil it with tinned tomatoes? A minor point though.

Location was good - 10 minute walk from the Cathedral and City centre. Garden looked nice, but weather precluded exploring it. Family room was on ground floor.
Nobody on Reception at the agreed time of arrival, or remainder of the day - only on checkout. Returning to the property after dark there was no lighting from car park to the building entrance, OR even to our room, so phone torch was needed! Whole of the downstairs was in darkness, bar shut, no staff around until breakfast time.

Location is good near centre of Ely.
Breakfast was reasonable.
Linen and towels were clean.
Unacceptably rude service
Smelly bathroom with antiquated shower needs a refit
Stained carpeting and room in need of a deep clean
Broken lightbulb
Rotting window frames
Drab shabby unwelcoming lobby
Overfilled bowl of fruit salad looked days old

was an older style property and in the heart of Ely!
was a little weathered maybe needs a slight up date! but I can’t really fault it as it was a base camp for a couple of days.

adjustable bed and nice room with comfortable bad. Breakfast not as good as first stay, but still excellent.
carpet look like it hadn’t been hoovered in weeks, and shower didn’t keep a constant temperature.

The location is excellent-just a ten minute walk to the city centre and Ely cathedral. The Nyton has a large garden which I didn’t visit in January but it must be lovely in summer. The poached eggs for breakfast were the best I’ve had in a long while.

Definitely the weirdest hotel experience ever - we had fun but only cos it was so bizarre.
When we arrived it was almost impossible to find - there is no lighting, no lit sign, and an unmarked driveway.
There are no staff, the key is left at reception, and all the lights in the entire mansion are off. You have to literally turn the lights on in the building yourself. The emptiness and darkness gave it a creepy vibe. There were half-opened presents under the tree, with discarded wrapping paper - some presents untouched - once we'd worked out how to switch the tree lights on that is.
We actually enjoyed sitting there in the dimly lit room, in this seemingly empty house. And then the fire alarm went off! I managed to get in behind the reception desk and worked out how to switch it off.
At about 2am a man walked in - we assumed the owner - we headed quickly to bed after his arrival.
In the morning when we went down to check out - the place was again deserted.
The rooms are clean although the bathrooms are hopelessly dated, and there was some weird alarm clock like from the 1940s on the wall next to the bed. The rooms are extremely old-fashioned.
We actually had fun but we would never stay at the Nyton again.
Could be a good setting for an episode of Inside Number 9 maybe?
Insanely overpriced for the weirdness of it all.

Quaint old building with easy access to the town of Ely. Housekeeper Jose is amazing! Robert is great! Cooked a full English breakfast for us! Luggage stored for the day too!

Quiet location.
Warm room on a particularly cold night.
Parking
No lights on, apart from a dim night light,no one there when I arrived. Difficult to find as the name plate wasn't lighted.
Ensuite was tiny and unheated.
Bed was very wobbly and noisy, just from turning over.
I needed breakfast half an hour earlier than they start serving. I was told to help myself. Milk was off!
