breakfast was wonderful, staff very friendly and helpful
Tried to book for dinner a few weeks before the visit, and was told the system wasn't working, but that the booking would be entered when it was. In the end we did not get the booking.

Die Lage und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter.
Hätte gerne einen Pool gehabt.

Location and that it overlooks the 1st and 18th holes of the Old Course is an added bonus and allows you the ultimate form of people watching from the comfort of there restaurants.

The property is the perfect representation of what the city is all about
No balcony in the room

Fantastic location and lovely inside.
Difficult to get served drinks in the roof top bar. All staff seemed busy doing other things and ignored us and other guests sitting waiting for someone to ask us what we wanted to drink.

A lovely hand written note wishing my husband a happy birthday and a complementary bottle of fizz was such an amazing surprise
Thank you
Loved it

Schönes ehrwürdiges Hotel 🏨 mit tollem Personal. Liegt sehr gut und hat sehr gute Restaurants, vor allem the Bridge für Mittag und das 18 für Abends.

Fabulous iconic location with views to west sands and 18th tee
Window boxes needed attention

Great location with fantastic views over the iconic St Andrews golf course, plus the advantage of looking out over the beach to the sea. Traditionally, styled hotel with lovely features and obviously its great golf heritage.
Special, mention to Tom on reception who went above and beyond, trying to guide us past all the flooded roads to get us to the hotel.
Breakfast time was a little chaotic, and some of the junior staff seemed to struggle a little.
It didn't affect our enjoyment, but you could see others getting a little irritated.

The bed was super comfy and large. The bathroom was a great size. The cocktails in the bar were delicious.
I didn't realise it was a dog friendly hotel and the room next to us had left a dog alone by itself and it was barking and banging the door. Luckily there was another room available which we got moved to.

We got an unexpected upgrade and it was fab and very comfortable.
The staff were outstanding-quite a young team-who were all so friendly, polite and very professional. A special mention goes to Campbell who’s care and attention was exceptional! The accommodation was excellent but it was the staff that made the stay special. Thank you
It was all excellent.

I stayed there before the badly needed refurb. They did a great job and my stay there was excellent. Probably the best licated hotel in St Andrews.
Ok first the fun bit. Theres a University just up the road who might be able to work out why the TVs are so difficult to work. And so slow with some stations no sound. Room 316…
Next, as a student if Malt Whisky of 30 years, whilst the rooftop bar is “amazing” the Malt whisky selection is below “Amateur” this hotel deserves better and is missing out on sales of such…

Rooms are are nicely decorated.
Beds are unconfy and not good.
We had a room on the third floor. There were extremely loud noises from the rooftop bar upstairs well after midnight. No chance to sleep even with earplugs.
Staff in the bar sections wasn’t friendly.

Amazing location, amazing view from the room, beautiful interior design, very friendly, kind and warm staff, relaxed atmosphere. Even though there weren’t any other kids in the hotel while we were there, we felt welcome and very comfortable with our 4 year old son.
Not a great management of the staff, a bit inexperienced staff. The things brake in the rooms and hotel (doors, shower, water pouring from the ceiling). Long waiting times at breakfast. Overpriced.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The price of the room was not good value for money.
While accepting it as a hotel frequented by golfers, mainly Americans, there should be a dress code in the 18th bar and restaurant on the top floor as lots of people treated it as a "dirty"bar through the clothes they wore, with many always keeping their hats on.

Location
Tiny room.
Had to order breakfast 3 times before it arrived.
Excruciatingly expensive.

Classic, historical property with the absolute best location for golfers playing the Old Course. Breakfast options were excellent, and the roof top bar was extra special; balcony view is extraordinary. Staff provided first class service.
Nothing at all to criticize

Beautifully appointed hotel building. A golf nut's dream venue. Unbeatable location overlooking the 18th fairway of the Old Course. Comprehensive breakfast menu and great dining experience. Staff very friendly and eager to serve.
Room was slightly musty on arrival with the seaweed odour similar to that of St Andrews. Cleared away after a few hours.

Absolute amazing caring staff - right at the tee off and 18th of the Old Course.
The staff is even more outstanding then the location, design, interior - what a treat to have been taken care off by truly caring people.

View from the room was Great!
The breakfast is no buffet. You have to Order everything and they bring it 10min later to the tabel. You can only choose from 10 different foods.

Room was great with a balcony overlooking the old course 18th fairway. Hard to complain about that. But for the very expensive price paid, there are a couple of things they could do better.
for the price, i was expecting at a premium experience. It fell short in three ways:
1. Breakfast was really not very good -- certainly filling enough but not very tasty.
2. Could not get dinner in the upstairs restaurant. At a first class hotel for almost $1,000 a night, there should always be a table available for a hotel guest. They wouldn't even do room service or takeaway. the alternate restaurant was empty if that gives you any idea of the quality and menu.
3. again, $1,000 a night. Obviously a place where you stay for the golf experience. And the Old Course starter is probably only 250 meters away and the Links Clubhouse for the New Course and the Jubilee Course is only 500 meters away, and the Eden Clubhouse is about 1500 meters. But if you think about your clientele, you might think about offering some sort of transportation, even for these short distances. An older couple like us needs a lift -- i had to double bag it (with my wife's and my clubs) and taxi to the Eden Clubhouse. Really, all they need is a 6-seater golf cart. The old Course Hotel has a shuttle service by way of comparison and I could have booked a room there for less.

Location excellent. They complied with our need for a room near reception with minimum stairways.
All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and courteous.
Facilities and service did not meet expectation. Asked for tea to be served in Gallery room - it did not appear, no face flannel or shower cap in the bathroom. No glasses for fruit juice in breakfast room. Late delivery of dinner in downstairs bar.
Dinner menu in Bridge bar limited.

Fantastic location!! Right on the Old Course. Unbelievably, you can park on links road free, risking flying golf balls. Valet parking £35... I risked it!! Very pricey for below ground room. Upgrade costly. Well worth it overall.
Only the price....location amazing, hotel very good.

Wonderful location right on the 18th fairway of old course. Brand new wing ,Wonderful service and great food. Staff went out of their way to make you feel at home. They took care of everything with a big smile on their faces
We were on the third floor and there is a restaurant above and there was some noise from moving chairs around . Staff worked hard to diminish the noise
