The hotel was brilliant, clean, friendly owners, and a great location. Close to the supermarket and not a far walk to the city centre.
I noticed the heating was only on in the morning and maybe throughout the day, but not at night. It was freezing during the night unless you were under the quilt covers.

Location very good and on direct bus route.
Everywhere clean and tidy. Towels and bed linen good.
Minimal toiletries
Room was very small and airless in comparison to some other rooms in house. more suitable as a single. En-suite tiny and basi Not informed of lack of food or bar facilities.

Lovely staff, very welcoming. Very clean, beds extremely comfortable
The night we stayed was extremely hot, there was no air con or any fans provided. Extremely hard to get to sleep when the room was so hot

Room was clean and good location for the university.
On arrival we were informed we had room only as no chef and no longer had a bar. Apparently booking.com are aware but not updated their site! We decided to leave a day earlier but owner refused to give us a refund saying “summer is only time we can make money”, even though they were full!

Lovely place to stay while visiting York. Not in the middle of the hustle bustle but quick and easy access to the city centre. The village is also very cute and people are friendly. We enjoyed the picturesque walks from Limes to the village and to the city centre. At the property we had a nice large room, really comfy beds and clean bathroom.
Wish we could use the outside space and garden. Would be nice to have a little table and seating outside to enjoy the natural beauty of York especially in the summer.

The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Big ALDI shop was just oppsite the road. The park and river nearby was suitable for walking and children to play.
The hotel was little bit far from center (25 mins walk) . Resturants nearby were limited.

It was available last minute. Accommodating host, who provided travel cot for our son.
The place is very outdated. Especially bathroom need full renovation. The shower pressure was very low. Despite being clean it all look tired. You could see mould and wallpaper coming off in the bathroom. The other thing we were confused about was lack of breakfast. We were unsure if it was provided or we paid for?.. the hosts were not present in the morning, so couldn't confirm so we did not get breakfast. For that level of standard a price of almost £130 per night doesn't sound like a good value for money. And I had a genius discount, so originally £150. If the price would be much lower we would consider staying again.

everything was perfect for us. we spent 2 nights in York and fell in love with the city. The accommodation is 25 min walk distance to the city centre. Aldi is near the accommodation. It was lovely to walk to the city centre, a lot a beautiful houses on the way, city walls, river. The place was quiet at night, the beds were comfy and a good breakfast. Nothing too fancy but no bad at all.

Warm and friendly welcome from Paul, comfortable surroundings, so well looked after during our stay - made to feel like family. Caroline was the hostess with the mostess! Breakfast choice and food quality amazing, perfect location for a stroll into the city centre. Rooms were serviced daily which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Convenience stores, bus stops, eateries close by. Can't wait to return !
Nothing to improve - room very comfortable, en suite on the smaller side but had everything we needed including storage.

Location was excellent, we went for racing and it was a lovely walk to the races and into town
I didnt like the sink outside the bathroom, i felt as it was a family room it could have been a better design/bigger bathroom with sink but i undetstand its probably the constaints of the building preventing this!
Bed could have been comfier (but thats personal preference)
