Clean but basic room, over priced breakfast, not as good as it once was as a Penta Hotel

Plenty of rooms are available, on site gym is provided for free, staff seem friendly, price is fair considering the location in Ipswich center

The parking is provided by an external provider and is very expensive, park across the bridge in the council car park for a cheaper and more available parking experience. The quality of the experience has gone down since B&B took over the hotel from Penta. A hot breakfast buffet was not available at the time, which leaves £15 very expensive for a continental breakfast.

Great location, expensive bar (£6 per pint) but would stay again.

the location is perfect for the football ground and the bed is very comfy. The kitchen was closed for evening meals but they allowed us to order takeaway and to eat it in the bar area.

I think we had an old smoking room as there was a stale smell in the room. We have stayed so many times at this hotel have never stayed on the ground floor. this time we were but will request an upper floor room next time.

Very nice room and wpuld stay again just not in the summer

Property was clean rooms were comfortable Location was very good Good value for money

The air con (air flow system) didn’t work was informed it is an air flow system which brings in air from outside however it produced warm air which in July made the room incredibly hot the system definitely seems faulty

Great stay look forward to coming back again next season!

2nd time we’ve stayed here really nice hotel in a great location perfect with the football stadium only being a 5 minute walk away.

Very little was wrong only downside was our hairdryer didn’t work that was all we could fault

Lovely hotel, would definitely stay again.

Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Dogs welcome… lovely bar area. Very close to football stadium. 👍

Zou gezellig Weekend weg zijn maar hadden beide zoiets van zonde van van ons geld, zijn vast betere hotels

Receptie was netjes en mooi, deed sfeervol aan

We hadden een invaliden kamer, weinig sfeer. Leek wel een ziekenhuiskamer. Ontbijt was erg duur voor wat er te krijgen was. Parkeren een drama. Als het vol was moest je heel stuk verder onbeveiligd parkeren en smorgens voor 8.00 weg zijn. Personeel was erg knorrig… sommigen erg vriendelijk maar de meesten weinig tot geen reactie

We love the Penta Hotel

This hotel is a perfect location for our stays.

The only downside is the carpark is tiny. However the penta car park costs £10 for 24 hours but just across the Sir Bobby Robson Bridge ( walking bridge only but only a 2 minute drive round the corner) there is a public car park and the cost of that car park is only £6.20 for 24 hours. We actually prefer parking there as the spaces at the Penta are incredibly narrow.

Great end to a fab week.

My colleagues told me the rooms were incredibly comfortable, and that the breakfast was so good they struggled to stop eating! It came so highly rated, that we would look to book here instead of other places in future.

Would stay again if air con is sorted

The staff were great and always tried to fix the problems as quickly as possible. The hotel itself looks amazing very unique, and unlike anything I’ve stayed in before the beds were very comfortable..

Unfortunately, we were moved into four different rooms and the Aircon did not work in any of them so it did make it an uncomfortable sleeping situation as our rooms seem to act like a hotbox once people were in them so we were a bit uncomfortable sleeping, which was such a shame as the beds were so comfortable.

It’s like walking into instagram when you go into reception! The staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Twin room rather crowded but with great view; staff friendly and helpful.

Booked twin but was allocated a double so had to change rooms. Parking expensive; breakfast not worth £12.50 ,hot food rather dry and not particularly freshly cooked.

Great staff, wonderful clean hotel, very good breakfast. Great location. It's worth staying for the weekend.

Room was cold. Would like to control how much heat I have in my room. Pillows was a bit to soft. Limited parking spaces.
