The location, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff
No automatic doors for wheelchair users

Rooms are big, clean, and bed was very comfortable.
Everything seemed nice, and we had paid a lot of money for the room. The room looked great, was clean etc, but then the problems started.... the air con... barely worked, and the room was BOILING! Woke up several times dripping with sweat, and couldn't do anything about it. One of the worst night's sleep I have had for a while. Then I go to use the shower.... barely any pressure, and the flex was leaking at the coupling, making the flow even weaker.
Left a very bad taste in the mouth.

The property and facilities were great. The staff were attentive, polite, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Nitin on front desk for his help and excellent customer service.
The carpark was poorly lit which was a little unnerving with small children.
The breakfast was a little disappointing. I don’t know if it was just a case of bad timing but the options were limited and the sausages were not nice to eat.

Room and facilities
Nothing comes to mind

Nice room. Nice bed. Blackout curtains. Very clean.
It’s not a relaxing spa. It’s a pool with loads of noisy kids. Steam room and sauna OK. Nothing posh. Gym mediocre.
And a coffee is £4.50
£240 for a room no breakfast is way overpriced.

Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam ! We werden door Bridget als vrienden behandeld, heel aangename vrouw.
De kamer was ruim en de bedden heel confortabel. Er was echt niets op aan te merken met het ontbijt : super

Comfortable, good facilities, great menu, helpful staff, lovely location by lakes is a little out of town and through an industrial estate
Accidental overcharge, hotel immediately said they would sort, took a few days but v hard to get through by phone or email in the meantime

Perfect for one night stay after visiting The Hand and Flowers
I felt the room wasn't very fresh, bedding was musty and there was no body wash in shower, I had to ask and a very small bottle was left in our room. Nit enough for 2 of us. Our friends, which we paid for, said under their bed was very dirty.

It appeared to have referb since we were last here. Stylish and staff very welcoming
Only complaint, the garden furniture on the terrace were dated and a bit old. Metal chairs on some with no pads

It’s a very nice hotel in beautiful settings, and its location is ideal for Pub in the Park event! We have stayed before and will most likely return at some point.

My sons loved the food in the bar - the gluten free burger was a HIT!
Staff were very friendly. Room was nice and spacious.
The fact that my teenage sons could not go in the pool. They aren't children - they wanted to do lengths. The times weren't suitable for us that it was open for 'children'.

We chose the property due to the location and the spa facilities
It was a Friday night and there were a lot of children, so the pool area was not as enjoyable as before. Breakfast was very busy and the coffee machine (1 machine in the whole dining room) was constantly queued and the coffee in the flasks was awful

Location
Got charged twice and also asked to pay an extra £75.
It's been 5 working days and the money they double charged me and the extra £75 still not refunded.

It was very quiet and the room was very comfortable
Dark in some areas - particularly corridors which was not good for my mum who is visually impaired

Facilities, swimming pool and breakfast
Our room ran out of hand wash and tissues. And when we ask for them they were not available.

The room was very spacious and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Breakfast room looking at the lake could not be better positioned for a relaxing Sunday morning breakfast. Choice of food was great and service good. Staff at the reception and restaurant were very nice. I loved the pool that was big with perfect temperature.
Pool area should be tidied more frequently. There were plastic cups everywhere when we entered the leisure facilities in the evening, some even in the pool. Or maybe they should provide a bigger bin for guests to put the cups in.

Room was excellent and clean. Food was excellent.
We were there for a work Christmas party, while the food and waiters were superb the bar needed more staff.
2.5 / 5.0
Room: spacious, well-equipped (except no mirror at dressing table or near to hair dryer).
Breakfast: staff were courteous, friendly, asked after my sore back (see below). Proper full fat yogurt was very tasty, as was poached fruit. French toast very good too, and excellent coffee.
Bar: great espresso martini.
Glassed-in outdoor area - looks nice, but must be much nicer in sunny weather.
Room: mattress was much too firm. Asked the morning after first night for a different mattress or a mattress topper, was told there was a mattress topper already, but they'd get me an extra one. Asked again in the afternoon. Was told one would be brought, but it wasn't. Gave up for third night. My back was so sore I couldn't go Xmas shopping with my grandchildren (main point of my visit). The lady in the breakfast room was most solicitous!
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs were horrid. Pastries were dry, didn't taste fresh.

Dinner was not great, potato gnocchi was terrible, breakfast though was very good.

The room myself and my partner stayed in was one of the best that we have stayed in, beautiful soft carpet, comfortable bed, hot shower, plenty of towels, I could mention much more and the staff were excellent, very polite and helpful.
Nothing to dislike.

Room great size, lovely bed. Nice bathroom with separate bath/shower
Location, dreadful. at the end of an industrial estate
4.0 / 5.0
Location was a short drive to lovely river views and town. The spa was a good size, and the bar and restaurant were large enough for you to have your own space.
One down for us was that we came with our 1 year old who is learning to swim , yet during the children's hours for the pool we were not aloud to bring her. If I had known this we wouldn't have booked as this was a family get away and we ended up having to take turns going to the pool area. For this reason we wouldn't be returning until she is older

Nice hotel breakfast good room comfy
Needed to tell you that there was a second menu available in the bar and not just the main restaurant.Didn't find out till last night needed a note in room .Not told menu was available via tv
