Nice hotel but a bit tired and dated and poor breakfast for £17

Beautiful building with lots of history and staff were very friendly and helpful

Felt a bit dated and the breakfast was poor for £17 - the sausages felt like they had been reheated from the previous day.

Enjoyed the stay very much but Grantham left a lot to be desired.

A great hotel with history, friendly polite staff but no lifts to the main historic hall.

Staff friendly and accommodating on service. Sunday roast lunch was very good on pricing and portions. Breakfast was good but a little pricey. Pleasant outside seating area.

That we could not eat in the upstairs banquet hall room on our stay on the Sunday or Monday due to another hall booking, so disappointing.

comfortable apart from the shower but would stay there again

we have stayed here before and found it comfortable and very convenient. the parking arrangement is a huge bonus. Staff are well informed and very pleasant

The shower was completely impossible to regulate and the water too hot for a comfortable shower - we did report this with reception when we checked out.Room 304

Pleasant building in keeping with the good old days.

Breakfast was too expensive on top of room rate we thought. Bathroom was tired looking & could see the toilet was not cleaned satisfactory but a pleasant peaceful sleep with no noise or disturbances & very comfy bed.

No parking charge added. Dirty toilet splashes. Tired bathroom tiles with grouting missing.

The hotels location and parking excellent, old building and breakfast room brilliant.

We stopped two nights, first night we could not shower, the shower would only supply boiling water so unusable, second day could not shower until the evening, as there was no hot water. We were told later the whole hotels hot water was off. For £128 per night expected the room to be better. We have stayed in many hotels at £80 per night that were nicer. At the overall price would have expected the the breakfasts to be included, sadly they were over £20 a breakfast, so we ate out. Shame really as of the three places we booked for our tour it looked the best, but was not. This is the first negative review I have ever done, so is disappointing for all.

Amazing historic coaching inn. If you're interested in history, you're going to love this place. 12 kings or queens have stayed here, since 1223. Apparently the hotel has recently been taken over by an independent operator, who has invested heavily in upgrading the rooms. Ours was very comfortable, nicely decorated and very spacious. Staff very friendly and I will definitely stay here again.

Nothing to dislike. Very happy.
