Worth visiting Torquay just to stay here.

The hosts were great and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was of the highest quality with a great selection. Hotel located in a quiet street. Beautiful room with a balcony, very well appointed. Vast selection of teas available. Breakfast and car park included so overall good value.

The water in the shower could do with being hotter, can be described as 'warm' when at maximum.

Can’t wait to see you again.

The room we had was booked that day. The price we paid was less than usual price. I would happily pay the full price as the breakfast was superb and quality produce. The hosts were very friendly and made you feel special.

That we only stayed one night. Definitely will go back for longer.

Lovely, Comfortable, 2 night stay, would highly recommend

The property itself was in an ideal location to get to the Torquay Marina and Town. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Gary welcomed us and was very happy to help with anything we needed . The breakfast was a buffet style table service breakfast with a lot of options available and was very much worth the money paid! I would highly recommend The Torcroft to anyone wanting a short or long break away in Torquay! We will definitely be going back.

A 5* stay in a gorgeous place that felt more like being round your best mates.

I chose The Torcroft for its location and beautiful photos, but really it’s Gary & Philip who make it so very special with their fabulous hospitality, impeccable style & good taste and lovely chats. Our room number 3 was wonderful, large and spacious with a sitting area plus bonus balcony with views over the sweet garden and the sea in the distance. It was spotlessly clean, super comfortable and tastefully decorated with quirky art and gorgeous antique furniture. Plenty of storage and charming rocker wicker chairs on the balcony to enjoy the views. Breakfasts were wonderful - with personal service for everything, from teas and coffees, to fresh juices, a range of cold options (cereals, salmon, fruit, yoghurts etc) to cooked options (eggs, pancakes, full English, toast etc). They run an honesty bar that is stocked better than many bars I’ve seen, next to a beautiful lounge, seated patio area and garden. Everything is in walking distance - the seafront, restaurants, bars, the beach and buses to lovely Brixham on the other side of the bay. We drove to The Eden Project on one day - easily accessible in under 2 hours drive. Honestly - the perfect place to stay!

Top notch boutique hotel in Torquay

Lovely hotel with a friendly atmosphere and high standards. Parking for each room is a real bonus, and Torquay seafront is only a 5 minute walk away. Hosts Gary and Philip are clearly committed to providing the very best and were on hand at all times with a cheery smile. Unusual attention to detail, for example, fresh milk and water for the room available self-service from a fridge in the dining room. Room itself was spacious, stylish and comfortable. Bathroom spotless and newly refurbished. Would definitely stay here again!

The weather could have been better! I'm sure if they could have arranged it, Gary and Philip would have fixed that for us...

Excellent Property Ran to a Very High Standard

Booked this property a couple of weeks before the trip as it was a bit of a late decision to have a few days away, I wasn’t disappointed. There was a parking space available for each room in the property which was ideal, the property itself looks fantastic and was easy to find. We were advised that book in times were between 15.00 and 18.00 and we arrived at 13.00 and our room was ready so we were allowed to book straight in. The room we booked was a compact double room which was as described, it was perfectly suitable for a 3 Night Stay with enough storage room for our luggage and had a standard double bed which was of good quality (the mattress was very soft – just for information) The room had the usual extras Kettle, Tv, Hairdryer, Fan etc. The Bathroom again was compact but serviceable and of very good quality, the rooms and the rest of the property were cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The hosts of the property were very welcoming and it felt that nothing was to much trouble, they were on hand for any questions or advice about places to visit or things to do if needed. The Breakfast served in the property was top class, all quality ingredients and again nothing was to much trouble and you could select from a cold menu to start followed by a hot food menu plus a never ending supply of toast and Tea/Coffee. Plus on our last day we made a couple of drinks for our drive home and asked if we can have a small drop of milk for our drinks and we were asked if we wanted anything else to take with us for the journey. There were some lovely areas of the property including a bar area and outdoor seating area plus some nice touches like a fridge which was kept in the dining area with some small flasks of milk or bottles of water that you could take to our room to make a drink with.

Maybe Small Fridges in the Rooms for storage Milk Etc.

Loved it !

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at The Torcroft which is beautifully decorated and has tasteful touches in respect of the furniture throughout the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and again very nicely put together. It’s quite obvious that Gary&Philip do their very best to keep improving aesthetic feel of the Torcroft. I have to say also that they are very friendly and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Their staff work with a smile on their faces which causes a feel good factor. Breakfasts are delicious, eaten in a spacious well lit room. We will definitely be revisiting this very pleasant hotel. This review is written with sincerity and honesty so I can whole heartedly recommend The Torcroft. Tony & Catherine.

Fabulous!!!

Gary & Phillip were so kind & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble they made us feel so at home. Best most comfortable bed ever in a hotel/b&b, slept great. Definately recommend, breakfast was lovely & they made our stay extra special. The cocktails were divine. Thank you guys!

Not just a B&B, Torcroft is an experience.

Every aspect of the beautiful Torcroft was perfect. I adored the period features of the house, Phil and Gary’s decoration choices and furnishings are just superb. They have paid great attention to detail everywhere that you look. We received amazing service, more than expected for the price we paid. The breakfast choices and quality again was top notch and will look forward to returning.

Lovely hotel, very nicely presented. Perfect hosts, warm, friendly and welcoming, nothing to much trouble and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, just a 10/15 minute walk into the main quay area where the restaurants and bars are, a bit of a hill but nothing serious just good to be aware of if you have any mobility issues. The honesty bar was a really nice addition, . Great selection of drinks ( just needed a bottle of baileys and it would have been perfect 😃) and a lovely elegant lounge to relax and enjoy your drink.

Superb stay, excellent room, brilliant breakfast, exceptional staff.

Gary was the perfect host on our arrival, sensitive to the unusual reason for our stay, and helpful with suggestions, including where to eat. Philip was also very helpful and his suggestions for activities on our departure were welcome and very useful. Breakfast was very good. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone else.
