Overall good,but closer attention required towards the room size available.

Informal approach towards guests, you are not having to sign for dinner etc.

My room must have been the smallest in the whole pub, so i think this should ideally be reflected in the price. A fair rate would probably be around £68-£70. The kettle needed filling using a separate glass as the sink was so small.

Well run, top notch establishment

Super helpful team, assisted me with a change of room to be next to my elderly mother, no fuss at all. Amazing food, both the evening meal and breakfast were high-end and nothing was too much trouble. A real gem of a place!

Everything was excellent, just a note for those less mobile may struggle with the stairs.

Stayed here about 20 times so far this year and will keep coming back (that says it all !!)

Staff are very friendly , breakfast is great and I like the location (3 small supermarkets and many other shops etc on doorstep- if you need them )

A great way to visit family and also to see where my ancestors lived

A great location, the owners were extremely friendly and their staff are a credit to their management style, as they are very friendly and polite. The food was excellent evening meal and breakfast too. I asked if our family who live near by could join us for breakfast and the answer was no problem,it was lovely relaxing way to start the day.

There could be better lighting in the bathroom and downstairs toilets it was very dull possibly try LED light bulbs? I did feel a little cold in the dining room but I wouldn't expect heating on in August .

Everything I was looking for in a hotel stay - flexible, comfortable and a good nights sleep!

Great location, lovely room, comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice bar too! Breakfast out of normal hours was not a problem at all - tasty and delivered promptly to the room!

Sometimes had to park on the street, but always found a space.

Exceptional

Room very spacious with a cosy comfortable bed..Lovely clean modern bathroom The cooked full English breakfast was brilliant so tasty 😋.

I found the shower difficult would have preferred a detachable shower head.

One night stay in a lovely town, with friendly and helpful staff and excellent food.

The accomodation is very nice, set in the quiet town square. The evening meal was beautifully presented and very tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Whilst the booking details said there is parking it's actually in the square not "on-plot" so don't drive through the "entrance" archway, as you'll have to reverse out and it's tight.

The bed mattress was too soft for my taste.

Lovely little gem

Food was excellent and the service was friendly and relaxed. Bar and dinning room were very stylish, both chic and Country House modern. Bed was very comfy

We were in the room next to the kitchen and it was a bit hot

Hey...all good...save on some sites it says the hotel has parking, it doesn't........ample parking in the square..so no issues

We couldn’t work out how to switch on the heating in the bathroom. Really lovely facility but a bit chilly.

Well managed , clean (great breakfast ) and good location (overlooking the small town centre - with 3 shops nearby and a fish and chip shop next door , Indian restaurant nearby etc etc ) I have stayed 4 times in last month !

Friendly welcome and a lovely room overlooking the square. Bathroom modern with a good shower. The bar and restaurant are a bonus too.

Could do with a corner shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo.....the only place for these is the shower tray so you have to bend down.

Lovely old hotel and restaurant

Beautiful, large room with good facilities overlooking the market place where everyday life was going on. Dinner on the day of our arrival was very good and the dining room and bar was just about full - not bad for a Wednesday night. Breakfast the next morning was excellent with a good choice of breakfast items.

There's not much traffic at night but what there was, was heard loud and clear.

Warm friendly welcome. Room was clean, fresh and a really comfortable bed, excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and provided gluten free options. Will definitely rebook a room here when visiting the area. Lovely stay, can't fault it.
