The location Is Amazing, immersed in a beautiful water garden, with loads of activities and an art museum to visit, we had booked somewhere else but decided to come here after a visit to the museum... staff is professional, well trained and welcoming, really recommend.
Our room wasn't the best available as it had a bit of outdated furniture and a pipe smell in it, I was annoyed to have a room deodorant that was spraying fragrance every 30 min to cover up a bed smell ,I have noticed that our room was the only one to have such issue but last second booking didn't allow much time to staff for setting up another room, overall it didn't compromise the experience.
4.5
The hotel and villas are set in lovely grounds and they have arts and cultural classes on site. Great location for walking into Ubud, and staff were very helpful and welcoming.

I like EVERYTHING about this hotel, The pool, the museum, the view, the Warung Kopi, the staffs, the room. I didn’t expect to see the lush green rice fields and Everywhere you look, it's bursting with art and culture! Amazing place. I'm glad I chose to stay at ARMA. It's so peaceful and aligns perfectly with my purpose of coming to Ubud for yoga!
The breakfast is very standard, but it was quite alright.

Stunning property and grounds with two lovely pools, restaurants and the museum of cause! Beautifully organised cultural activities on site. Rooms are really beautiful with traditional/ heritage features.
We moved rooms after the first night as we had some issues with hot water and AC but the staff were incredibly accomodating and the second room was really lovely.
4.5
Fantastic large landscaped grounds with multiple water features, bridges, stairs etc to explore. We stayed in a pool villa which was located in a quiet corner of the site and it was wonderful. Private garden with pool and cabana, all lushly planted and well maintained. The bedroom was large with a high ceiling and mozzie net around the bed, and although they weren’t a problem, the odd one snuck inside.
Loved all the frog sounds at night from the pool in the outdoor deck part of the bathroom! Unfortunately we didn’t get round to trying the huge carved stone bath there but it was impressive. Staff were all lovely and helpful, especially carrying our bags all the way there and up the steps. They also arranged a car for sightseeing one day and pickup back to the airport, well organised.
The dance performances are a must see! Amazingly good, the Gamalan orchestra especially hypnotic, all incredibly professional - see them all if you can! An added bonus is free entry into the museum which has a lot of varied Balinese art from old to very contemporary.
More free water would have been handy - although a supermarket over the road made it easy to stock up. Also more power outlets, and some were a bit old and dodgy.

The resort was beautiful
We booked a deluxe room. We arrived at the hotel at noon. The room was not ready. We put our luggage and returned at night. We received a terrible room, not the room we booked and not as it appeared in the pictures. 2 huge stairs led to the bathroom and toilets. The wall was broken and dirty. The next day we moved to the villa as planned for a week. We then canceled our further stay. It doesn't look like we'll be going back there Although we were compensated for the price of the room

If you’re after a traditional Bali experience with all the comforts of home, this is the place to stay. Had a fabulous stay. Was upgraded to an amazing room when we had an aircon issue. I didn’t want to leave. Staff amazing. Cooking class brilliant. Evening dance shows really worth seeing. Food at the restaurant top quality. Close to everything in Ubud but such a quiet, tranquil location.
Bathroom in first room was dated but still very useable. But bathroom in second room was amazing!

A paradise!

The venue is unique in its kind. We loved walking through the museum resort and exploring not only the art, but also the beautiful garden and other facilities offered. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Location is also convenient. There are plenty of restaurants around and although the entrance is close to the road you hardly notice this within the resort itself.

ambience, calmness, close to nature, peace of mind, rejuvenating, relaxation, close to the ubud market, accessible to all northern tourists spots
nothing such…all was excellent right from the staff to the sevices and location

beautiful grounds and facilities- especially the gardens connecting to the art museums
4.5
it was realy amazing everything looked really nice and polished. the location was wonderful and close to everything.
only things we didn’t like was our villa wasn’t really private so for Muslim girls note that people can look in to your garden an swimming pool.
and unfortunately like you can expect form Ubud there where a lot of insects. and the red ants go in to the bedding that wasn’t so nice
4.5
A beautiful resort with a focus on traditional decor and art. Our family villa was lovely with comfortable beds and a private pool. Included breakfast buffet had fresh food with good variety day-to-day. Location is great, quiet within the resort but an easy walk to lots of great cafes, restaurants, shops, and the monkey forest.
A few minor maintenance issues with some plugs not working and a small leak in the roof.

Absolutely beautiful gardens and resort blended into the natural landscape - a river, rice field, ponds, pools, fountains, and so much more. The culture here is palpable and the staff are so lovely.
I was fortunate enough to spend time with Agung Rai (owner/founder) - a humble, wise, and gentle man that loves Bali, art, and culture.
Can’t recommend this place enough. The museums, dance show, and gardens are all so authentic and cool for anyone who appreciates these sorts of things.

Room lovely, pool beautiful, breakfast lovely. Aging Rai and his family put in a hundred percent to make people feel comfortable and happy. beautiful gardens and surroundings. Beautiful art, music. The Legong dance was the best o have seen.

We had a private villa with a pool, however we did use the other two pools in the grounds. The room was exceptional. comfortable, air-con perfect, and quiet. The breakfast had excellent choices and the "Bali" coffee is great. The grounds keeping team are well trained and proud of their jobs, this absolutely shows with the immaculate and well groomed grounds. Bali has taken an absolute thrashing from the Covid outbreak, however they are bouncing back and this shows in the way they handle their hospitality. We loved everything at this establishment. They did a wonderful job of making us comfortable. The location is excellent. Take the 'short-cut' through the museum grounds (which is also amazing) and you're on the main road with excellent restaurants and shops.

The grounds were amazing. My villa was beautiful and so relaxing. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. I loved the connection to the museum and the tours provided by the hotel.

fantastic to stay in the museum park and garden, a huge, beautiful ground with so many lovely plants and flowers! room was very nice, bed comfortable, clean pool and super helpful staff!
a bit of a walk to “down town” Ubud - however this was a good trade off for staying in the wonderful garden

The grounds are superb. Lush, inviting and peaceful. Arma is an oasis with the convenience of Ubud on its doorstep.
The villas are incredibly luxurious and spacious and the staff always welcomed us with smiles and conversation
Nothing. It was all wonderful

This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. The rooms are small clusters set in large gardens. The gardens are incredible. There are many hidden areas to walk, relax, explore and unwind. Everywhere you look you see beauty. It is designed in a traditional Balinese style and you feel like you have stepped back in time to another era. Amazing!
The rooms we stayed in where the traditional style rooms which were very beautiful from the outside. If I had to criticise 1 thing I would say the interiors are a little bit tired.
4.5
Beautiful grounds and buildings, private pool and villas
Breakfast could do with an upgrade, rooms showing age

Beautiful grounds, beautiful staff, great food. The villas are so amazing. Stay as long as you can!

From the moment we checked in we loved everything about Arma Resort and Museum. The staff are extremely friendly, even the owner who you may inconspicuously bump into somewhere on the grounds, he was SO FRIENDLY! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Even just engaging in conversations with them was awesome. Our room was an oasis, we got exactly what we wanted with our stay. We never really heard any other visitors unless they happen to be loud, which no one was. I loved that we could walk around the grounds and open-air museum. I took advantage of a massage at the spa and it was wonderful. The masseuse was accommodating and incredibly sweet, I just feel bad I never went back to get some aloe vera from her as we were busy that last day ( I had a bad sunburn) The pool was conveniently located next to the spa so you could just lounge in that area. I loved that artists were on-site at the museum portion. You can stop and have a chat with a few of them. The hotel can set up wood carving, dancing classes, and small tours upon request. You'll have a sheet with all that information in the hotel room. We were able to catch two dances while there, Legong and Kecak dances. It felt like we were immersed in another world! The breakfast was great, it was a little bit of Indonesian food and then western food but they catered to everyone. All in all, I would come back here, and I would refer our friends to this destination. It's a great learning environment, I love that we were assisting the Arma Foundation with our stay and assisting in keeping Balinese culture alive. It made the stay that much better!
3.5
the landscapes and green areas, the museum, the cafe, the kindness of the staff
- Wi-Fi access in our room was not that good
- our room was a bit empty and with not enough drawers of furniture to put our stuff
- too dark at night to walk around the hotel surroundings
- the breakfast was really poor for this kind of resort
4.5
it’s not just a hotel but a whole complex of museum, interesting grounds, spa, dance performances, classes in traditional arts, and more.
weak wifi.
