So good that I will stay there again

The Staff. So lovely ALL smiling and SO helpful. Very clean and really nice smell (a special fragrance in my room. Arun and all Kitchen staff very attentive. Food in restaurant delicious. Supria at desk is lovely and Ravi very helpful with my future plans for booking here next time. I’ve 2 other places in Mumbai - this place by far surpasses them all!!

Ive stayed here earlier but this time i was dissapointed

Breakfast was good, Location good. Staff was helpful.

The room in itself was not good, the hotel and its facilities is starting to look old. No menu in room for dine in.

I was fortunate to stay at THE ORIENTAL HOTEL for 3 weeks in February this year,..from the moment I walked in to the property Reddy Balram was there in reception to book me in fast, then breakfast next morning meeting Arun Shetty made my day, the food was more than adequate, excellent service,…..my room was kept so clean by Braun Nayk, all in all this is a great Hotel, cost very reasonable, only negative is the bath rooms are ready for reservation. still very functional and clean. position wise very close to my Dentist, Dentzz,…..I’m back in 6 months from Australia, will be staying again at The Oriental, thats for sure!

good location (next to stores and markets, but far from south Mumbai), good breakfast and 24/7 reception

rooms need updating, bathroom shower leaked everywhere, no sound proofing (hallway noise and party noises)

Rooms were clean and comfortable enough

Bathroom smell was fairly bad - I know it's not uncommon but there are plenty of hotels in mumbai without that issue in this price range. Extremely noisy - there's a bar upstairs that pumped music until late. Rude staff - I'd booked a second night online but reception told me they were overbooked and to find another hotel. They didn't even attempt to apologise.

Apart from the location, this property is a scam. The rooms are dirty and disgusting! Wifi is poor, Staff and room service is very bad. You call them and they will never return. We literally had to call them 6 times to get an iron in room and it arrived after 40 min. Bed sheets are dirty towels were worn out. And room was so dirty when we entered even after complaining there was no action taken. I would NOT recommend to ever book this hotel.

The reception staff particularly the women were not helpful. Even my post stay email not responded.

Breakfast buffet options are good but should be open for some more time. The staff by name Arun is exceptionally good and helpful.

the prime location

the breakfast was just average with the same menu everyday except for a few changes. high priced for the room size and washroom size. a lady at the reception barely knows her job. she has no clue about anything you ask her. be it wifi or extra hours.

Most of the staff were amazing and really looked after me.

Most of the staff were amazing, the breakfast was great as were the staff in the restaurant.

One young lady that was on reception. The original room I was given was very loud and as I needed a lot of rest I asked for a quieter room. I was shown another room which was a lot quieter and asked how much extra to be informed $30 to $40 NZ but then I was charged nearly $200. She was very rude and quite nasty. The floors were swept but never cleaned and were extremely dirty.

I was extremely unhappy there and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The property had an excellent restaurant

The room was dirty and had a sewage smell 90% of the time. After trying 4 fridges I still couldn’t get one that worked properly. One of the fridges they gave me had mould all over it and was dirty. I had a balcony I couldn’t use due to insects and mosquitoes. After 2 days there I told the manager I wasn’t happy and I wanted a refund so I could go elsewhere and he flatly refused and said that wasn’t possible.
