We chose Akratos Beach Hotel to be close to the port where boats depart to Mount Athos and to spend few days visiting the very beautiful Halkidiki region, including Aristotel birthday place and the wonderful Arnaia.
The rooms are very spacious, with a bedroom, a nice livingroom with modern furniture, two bathrooms, and very important to us, with a stunning view over the sea from the balcony.
The beds are big and comfortable, the rooms are silent, all of that gives us a very good quality of sleep.
Staff at the front desk and restaurant were so professional, friendly and helpful.
The garden is very well organized, with many species of plants, offering a very pleasant walking space.
We will definitely return any time we are in the Halkidiki area.

The location of the hotel is great - it is surounded by mountaints and trees and looking at the sea. The whole peninsula is peaceful and just what we needed to relax.
The hotel is well located - Ouranopolis is a couple of minutes away (by car).
The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful, they made our stay even more pleasant.
The food is excellent :) especially dinner.

Lovely Hotel
We stayed at the hotel for the first time and we really enjoyed it.
The staff was very helpful and tried to do their best to make us feel comfortable. We were upgraded to a lovely and spacious room with sea view and had a nice view on sunset too. Value for money!!! We hope to return!!!
2.5
Nice location above the beach.
The room had a nice view but it also had an auful and irritating smell. It needs to be renovated.Very expencive for the servises and the comforts that provides. We asked for having another room and they didn't accept it.
4.5
1. The staff is verry nice and helpful
2. Everything is clean
3. The staf that served at the pool bar were verry helpful and nice
4. The view from the rooms and the pool is breathtaking
5. The food is servind is verry hygiene
We ordered two sea view rooms, we got one as we ordered and the from the other one you can barely see the sea
There are two pools, one for little childrenand the other one is too deep for older children so if you have children in the ages of 6-10 the pools are less suitable for them

The location by the beach and close the village, the stuff so helpful and polite, the pool is very nice and breakfast is not bad at all…
Rooms are a bit too small, but that’s nothing…

Kids playground needs upgrade; rooms not so clean

The positives:
- The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
- Food was ok but previous years was better.
It's unfortunate I have to write a negative review this time (fifth stay at Akrathos).
1. 80% of the hotel is closed. There are only two buildings opened - the central building and another one. All rooms are the same - very basic and small. You can't upgrade or request another rooms as all other buildings are not opened. We (family of four) were given a tiny room overlooking some concrete yard, next to a some king of nosy generator. Not good!
2. This is supposed to be a hotel, where people go with kids. Not a single entertainment for them - like a playground. Oh, there is one... it's located in some kind of basement and was so dirty and unwelcoming that kids were afraid to go inside. It's like a catacombs. It's a shame such a large property not to think of any proper playground! Or at least , please, clean what you have! It's for children!
3. The building we stayed at is the farthest from the parking lot if you have to carry a lot of luggage. I'm fine with this as I know there is a shuttle that helps out with it. Well, receptionist said the shuttle is not working - we have to carry all the luggage by hand (as cars are not allowed in the property).
4. Internet. In our room internet was so bad, that very often it's not enough to load a web page, let alone to play some cartoon for the kids. It's outside my understanding how in 2021you can have internet with speed that was ok in 1980.
5. TV. Like it or not, when you have two kids (one baby) you just need sometimes to resort to a TV. Not a single kids channel!!! Just some greek news. Do you people know that your guests are not greeks and they don't want to get all greek channels?
6. Pool. again - closed. It's mid June and pool is closed. Possibly the only kid entertainment is not working. Very disappointing!
--------
I'm afraid to say that this is our last stay at Akrathos Beach Hotel. It was sad to see such a difference (in negative terms). Not recommended AT ALL!

Wonderful beach. Great water sport possibility.
Very bad coffee. Nice swimming pool is open not earlier than after breakfast.
