Dinner and service was excellent!!
The noise when work was being done by workers fixing the hotel rooms etc. loud drilling etc.
6.0
The room was well laid out. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom/shower good. We weren't disturbed by any noise, which made for a pleasant evening. Restaurant offers a good selection.
The bathroom ceiling vent needs repairing as it has a hole. Looks very substandard. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles are located in an awkward spot where my arm hit them a few times. They should be relocated. Hand basin had a hairline crack that appeared to be old as it was stained, giving me the impression it had been like that for a while. Plenty of power points in the room, but none on one side of bed to charge phone and use as an alarm. Not convenient. The decor is dated.

Check-in went well and the staff were very helpful. There was enough room for an over-nighter. Location was excellent and having the happy hour sitting by the pool was very nice. The staff were lovely. Wifi was also okay.
Nothing to complain about
5.0
The location was good
It’s an old, run down hotel with poor facilities.

Bed is of poor quality, Couldn't sleep well.
Staff at the reception and restaurant are not up to the brand mark. In the evening went to have coffee and no one was bothered. Next morning, staff serving Breakfast were good.

It was very close to everything.
We thought that a bit more cleaning of cobwebs and maybe spraying the property to prevent crickets and cockroaches coming into the room considering we were on the 3rd floor.

Location
In terms of Value for money, not very good when you could stay at the Mantra for not much more but have more luxury/newer accommodations. Got half a roll of loo paper and tea and coffee supplies were empty. Hotel in need of a spruce up.

Central to where we had to be in a quiet street. Friendly staff & great bar & restaurant
Breakfast was really slow to come out but was nice when we finally got it

The latest cation was within walking distance to main town
Basic supplies, Upon arrival the strong smell of curry in reception area was very off putting. We were checked in to our 2 x third floor rooms when ch was minimalistic with 2 cups and 2 spoons provided
Unfortunately I decided to use the stairs to go to reception instead of the lift and was trapped in the stairwell for 25 minutes before being found.
I was unable to exit at any level including ground floor.
The Staff member on duty advised us that the door is locked and only unlocked in the event of a fire.
So be warned if there is a fire in this Hotel you may be trapped in the stairwell until a staff member unlocks the door!
A ridiculous and extremely unsafe policy which I am confident is illegal.
There was no signage to advise that the stairs were not to be used and they can be accessed from any floor. You just cannot get OUT!
The Managers response to me upon a written complaint was nonplus. The CEO of Accor has not even responded,

The food at the restaurant was delicious.
When i arrive at 12:30pm after a massive flight to get told your room is not ready and we cant check you in till 2pm so ill have to sit and wait. Its a Thursday midweek in a country town a massive amount of rooms and definitely not busy as i seen 1 person go the whole time i sat there waiting. I understand it says check in 2pm but really your telling me there is not one room available and then the next morning when i leave the cleaners are out cleaning rooms before 10am. I was very disappointed to have little care factor. Also The elevator had been broken for 4 days prior to arrival so walking up 3 flights of stairs was tiring.

Location was great, room was comfy and warm.
The lift wasn't working!

Hotel looking aged. Lift out of the 1950s. Last time I stayed at the hotel was 1995 it seemed much the same
No restaurant on Sunday night - understandanable perhaps but I had a late flight in so I had no meal

friendly staff, the restaurant was lovely.
the elevator could be repaired as it jerked and clunked when used, increasing the volume of music in the elevator did not improve the use if it if anything highlighted the fact that it was in desperate need of a service. The elevator had not been cleaned and rubbish was on the floor.
The placement of the fire/smoke detectors was a problem the fact that they flashed on and off all night, not even a regular pattern was distracting when sleeping and when trying to go back to sleep in the middle of the night.
i had signed the receipt for the dinner to be charged to my room and found they had split the bill in the morning - not sure why or how they did this.

Breakfast was fine.
Location is alright. Easy to find with GPS.
The elevator is a bit scary, jumpy and clunky.
Parking was free, not secure but free.
Nothing.

As above
The restaurant was very poor. It was very clean with nice ambiance and the front of house staff were delightful. However, the food was disgraceful. They were offering a Christmas in July menu. The meat and vegetables (apart from the potato) was dry and overcooked and the pork turned to powder in my mouth. The baked veggies were burned. The meat and vegetables tasted like they had all been reheated - for a restaurant that was charging top restaurant prices it tasted like the worst institutional food. The saving grace was the desert which was quite nice. I did not expect this quality of food from this restaurant and will never eat there again. I will stay there though because I could not fault the staff or my room.

Position, parking, size of suite, very comfortable bed.
Shower over spa bath, too high to step in and out ( did not use) no handrails...a VERY unsuitable and dangerous shower and very outdated. Toiletries were in large multi use pump pack containers for use by multiple guests.,,very unsanitary.

The hotel is located a short walk from the centre of Albury and its restaurants and cafés. The check in and out were quick and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed with lots of storage. It had good work areas and lighting. The bathroom had all the amenities we needed. For what it offered the room price was very reasonable.
The wifi was flakey. It didn't work at all with one device and was unreliable with two others.
