Nice breakfast

It was near where we had to be the following morning
The light they gave me for loadshedding did not work and my children’s light in the next room was very dim. when I WhatsApp them to ask for a new light they did not respond and I had to sit in a dark room the rest of the night.

I recently had a one night stay to attend a family occasion in Cape Town. Morningside Cottage is superbly situated, spotlessly clean, fresh and bright rooms with all amenities I needed, friendly host, delicious breakfast and beautiful, peaceful surrounds. It was a perfect spot for me to rest and prepare for the busy day ahead. I will be back. Thank you Frances and Frank.

Francis is always so warm and helpful. I initially felt very much welcomed and at home.
Other guests were allowed to noisily party the whole night through right in front of my room. I had to take a sleeping tablet in order to sleep some hours. This had a detrimental effect on my ability to focus the next day. I came to Cape Town for training, but could barely take in any information because of this. I would like an explanation as to why this was allowed, not just an apology. Since this is so unheard of and inappropriate, I cannot help to quess that I was seen as 'just an older woman,' not a man or accompanied by a man and therefore unworthy of the same respect others are treated with.

It was peaceful and perfect getaway from our normal lives. Felt like a home away from home. Francis and Frank made us feel very welcome.
No small fridge facility in the room for personal items.

Rooms were very comfortable. Francis was very helpful when we had our flights cancelled and changed by the airline. She also informed us of an accident on the route we would have taken to the airport and suggested an alternate route. Thank you!
We found the continental breakfast buffet a little limited. The cooked hot breakfast was amazing.

The location was good. You could walk to local shopping mall. I had a full breakfast and it was cooked well. If I needed more toast or coffee they would give me more.
I could not fault the place.

Frances went out of her way to assist me with a late check-in and transport arrangements.
I didn't have the privilege to stay long, but after a stressful day I couldn't ask for better accommodation.
I had a warm welcome into a warm room with everything I needed.
Thank you Frances.
