Amazing location in a private reserve. Plenty of walking around the property. Very nice hosts and the food was excellent.
Not knowing the bar prices in advance (although it was not expensive as it turns out)

The giraffes… an absolute highlight! Game drive and walk with Kerneels. Also being able to walk in the reserve and see animals and birds. Big rooms, very comfortable. Lovely lounge and dining area. Great food. Lovely people.
Property is perfect, but just to notes that it is quite a long drive to Addo.

It was a really amazing stay here. You are in the middle of nature and there are many animals to see. Some giraffes and zebras welcome us at our arrival. The food was really delicious and they cooked some vegan meal for me which was very kind!
The pool was a little bit dirty and we didn't like the dead animals on the wall. We love animals and that was really terrible to see.

The excellent facilities, the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food, beautifully presented and tastful. The game roaming the property, and beautiful gardens. Would recommend the game farm to everyone

this place is really unique. with the animals on the farm you already feel like you did a half safari. everything was perfect. I recommend the tour on the farm as well, so you can see the giraffes and other animals. also try the dinner once at least, it’s delicious! beds are super comfortable and it’s just very quiet. we did not try the addo tour with the owners so we cannot tell about.
the lamps in front of the rooms should be shut at night since they could be disturbing but it was no big thing due to the curtains.
also in future it would be good if there was a fridge in the room for small stuff to store.

We liked everything. The stunning location, easily accessible but giving the impression of total isolation, very comfortable beds in a beautifully appointed room with the most enormous shower room(we had the suite) and the most delicious breakfasts and dinners provided by Vanessa, the owner, and her team. Nico who checked us in was always happy to answer any questions, nothing was ever a problem. We loved our Giraffe tour with Kerneel, the owner, who taught us so many interesting details about the different animals on the farm. We went on several walks around the property, sometimes accompanied by a few giraffes, zebras or goats, and were able to take photographs of some stunning views. We had the most relaxing and enjoyable five days and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge was one of the highlights of my 3 month road trip in SA. Greeted with a warm welcome by Nico on arrival, Vanessa and Heinri's delicious breakfast and dinners and Kerneels braii skills. As you enter you are greeted by Zebras, Giraffes, Wildebeest and the odd monkey. Trails galore walking around the property with theses amazing animals where you can get some wonderful photos. If you are reading this don't look any further just book it, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a truly memorable experience.

It is located in a quiet place surrounded by nature, but at the same time not far from Port Elizabeth. It is very clean and well looked after. We stayed in one room (3 guests). The room and bathroom was very big, enough space for everyone. The service was excellent! I would like to stay there more than just one night.
We liked everything!

Stayed 5 nights and loved it. We used the stay to visit addo and PE. But we're really happy we didn't book only one or 2 nights.
The experience of the "lodge life" is not comparable to other types of hotels. The owner family is realy caring and we loved to get in touch with the other guests during the perfect breakfasts & great dinners.
One evening we did a braai with all guests and the owners with an excellent karoo lamp.
Worth to stay a night longer then you might have planned - hiking over the lodge area and stabding in the middle of 14 giraffs is something you don't want to miss!

the location, the quiet and wildlife. views beautiful, food exceptional, hosting superb!
A snack bar for lunch would be appreciated, eg sandwich, vegetable wrap, maybe biltong and droe wors to have with pool drinks.

It was nice, that the electricity was working during load shedding. Also the wild animals, especially the giraffes, were amazing. The breakfast was good and the room was clean.
We had the feeling, that the host wanted us to leave as early als possible and told us, that we would drive much longer to our next destination than we actually did. We had the plan to check out the area and watch the animals on the farm, but because of the strange behaviour of our host, we left early. Also, we had the feeling, that they were angry, that we didn‘t want dinner. It was also annoying, that we heard every flush of every toilet in the house and that we could listen to the conversations of the other guests and couldn‘t sleep.
