Modern, professionally-run hotel with large pool

The Palmyra hotel was a positive refuge during my trip to Zakynthos. Prior to that, I had had poor to average experiences at other higher-rated hotels on the island. It is a very professionally run modern hotel that you can liken to the Melia hotel chain in Spain or the Jolly Hotel chain in Italy. Reception is welcoming and flexible. The facilities have ample seating areas inside and outside--there's a TV lounge and many sunbeds and tables surrounding a very large beautiful pool at the center. Marble floors everywhere! Very clean! Rooms had a balcony with table and chairs. Toiletries were first-rate--Zealot of Nature. Shower was modern with a rain shower head as well as handheld; no tub. The shower has a transparent glass through which you can see the bedroom. Beds are very comfortable; you'll have a good night's rest. Hotel guests are not rowdy. The location is in Argassi--in which upscale Michelin-like restaurants like Dominicale, Utopia and Anadalis are found. A block away from the hotel is a bar/club called 360 Skybar that plays American pop as well as reggaeton. (In my opinion, it's the best neighborhood in Zakynthos.) Parking is available and easy to find. Bus stops to area beaches are also within a block radius. Walkable area. Good beaches are about a 20-minute drive away.

Those who need privacy may not like a glass wall separating the shower from the bedroom although there is a curtain available to maintain privacy. Pool use is restricted between 7am and 7pm; so discard the option of a late evening swim.

Everything was good at Hotel Palmira. Staff, food, location, facilities, pool. If I return to Zakynthos, I definitely plan to stay at this hotel because of all these excellent services.

In our room, wifi connection was not so strong. But I suppose it is because our room was located at the end of the corridor.

Wonderful place and lovely and helpful people. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of variety. Room very nice and clean. The Staff cares about the guests. I'm very satisfied! Thank you Palmyra Team! :)

Breakfast was excellent lots to choose from the dining room was kept clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The location of the hotel is fantastic being at the very centre of everything with shops restaurants and bars all very close. We would definitely recommend this hotel

Great stay!

Super clean ! Shower amemtities every day, fresh soft towels for each day. Airconditioning working perfectly. In the center of everything but not noisy. Everything you need for breakfast, however i would add pancakes to the menu. Breakfast more or less the same each morning, but they are good. You can eat breakfast outside near the pool what is nice. Restaurant also near if you do not want to go outside. Very clean pool and sun beds. Surroundings are well maintained. Staff very friendly from cleaners to receptionist. Confortable bed and super clean sheets. Also very vonfortable pillows (you can choose hard or soft) according to your needs. We liked that we could take a shower downstairs when we checked out of hotel since we had late flight.

Everything was great! Just keep in mind that Arrgasi Beach is not so nice and you need car to get to nice beaches. But it is not related to hotel itslelf.

Mattress was very comfortable, we recommend u try the culinary delights of the home restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised

Perfect ending to our holiday

Nothing to fault here, everything was fantastic. Good size room, lovely and clean, nice view, great pool, the breakfast was a large buffet with many options, friendly staff, comfy bed.

Great location with good restaurants in the area. Spacious room with large bathroom. Well equipped and very clean. Highly recommended. All of the receptionists were very nice - thank you!

There was a small leakage from the glass that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom.

We stayed one night for a last minute booking. Excellent value for money with lovely clean rooms, comfy bed and modern en-suite bathroom facilities. We had no pool towels but they provided us with 2 so we could sit by their lovely pool. Very helpful staff. Definitely recommend.
