Gute Lage, „älterer“ Teil inzwischen etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
Prei-Leistung für Abendessen stimmt nicht. Reservierung Anfang Mai nicht erforderlich.

The location and view from our room were great. The room was well appointed and very modern, good tea and coffee making including kettle, fridge. Internet speed was fantastic, great for uploading the day's photos in no time. Nice restaurant with good menu. I would stay there again for sure if I was in the area again.
Gravel car park didn't suit rolling our heavy suitcases.

Northern lights service offered, clean, friendly and relaxed.
No fitness centre but otherwise the best place we stayed in Iceland.

Sehr gutes Abendessen, sehr freundliches Personal. Schön angelegen, haben hier die Aurora borealis gesehen.
Relativ heiße Zimmertemperatur. Kann man aber regeln.

Great breakfast
Evening meal. Vegetarian. Very basic and expensive.

Nice location to stay in Iceland. Did not have any issues finding the property and there was ample on site parking (we stayed at the beginning of the low season). Room was nice and bed comfy. No issues with room facilities in that bathroom facilities and lights etc all worked OK. Breakfast (included in the room price) was good and a variety of continental style breakfast options. We did not get to see the Northern Lights as they did not come out to play.
Nothing that we can recall.

Sehr gute Lage, äußerst sympathisches Personal, hervorragendes Frühstück, außergewöhnlich sauber.

Very clean and chic in Scandinavian minimalist style. Room and bath were spacious with lovely large window. Tea & coffee & minifridge available in room. Staff were young gracious and helpful. The homemade whole grain bread is to die for, and the breakfast buffet was extraordinary in its selection of breads, croissant, jams, dried & fresh fruits, yogurts, mueslis, cheeses, meats, hard boiled eggs, and a coffee machine with cappuccino/ latte/ espresso options. Also had a delicious cod dinner there, very large portion.

Great location

Gullfoss Hotel is perfectly placed in a rural setting on the Golden Circle (not really a circle) between the Gullfoss Falls and Geysir. The hotel has about 30 rooms, ours facing an escarpment and farmland, half of which are in a newer wing. The room was spacious and modern. The hotel has a good restaurant where breakfast is served but no other facilities. Breakfast was included and was good. Parking was just outside reception. A rough walking trail, 3km, to Gullfoss ran along the river gorge, doubling as a bridle trail.
The bathroom was ridiculously small, a major mistake for a recently designed addition, so small that the shower had two folding doors, neither of which could be opened without hitting something. Strangely, for such a windy place, a single door without an airlock led into the reception area.

Hotel very close to one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, comfy rooms, friendly staff. Big parking on site. Big restaurant and bar with some nice views.
Breakfast could be better.

Location was perfect for northern lights! We had an amazing show around 2am on the hotel parking lot. Lasted for like an hour. Super close to Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir.
No northern lights wake up call available. Breakfast had no hot options

Location was unbeatable ! Close to the falls. We saw the Northern lights in a pitch black sky - incredible. Nice dinner and good breakfast but it's the location that's 10/10.
Nothing.

We stayed here on a trip in November around the golden circle and it was a perfect spot. Both the location and the hotel itself were great.
The location was superb for visiting sites but also remote enough to see the stars and northern lights. (And bonus that when the northern lights happened the manager came to tell us). The restaurant food was delicious and breakfast in the morning was generous. Cosy and comfortable rooms
Nothing.

Excellent hotel in a great location. It is literally 2 mins drive from the waterfall and we’ll positioned for visiting Geysir. Comfortable and clean room with a smallish bathroom but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was basic continental but enough to choose from.

The bartender was very helpful and sweet! Very genuine and went out of his way to help us
Restaurant was closed for dinner, but they let us know beforehand and recommended some options. Still had breakfast which was simple, but good.
