The property is quiet, surrounded by the marvelousness of Iceland with Selfoss in the near distance. 😊
It would only be better with an outdoor hot pool. But alas it is not situated to have one. 😟

The setting is fantastic. We even had a view of Seljalandsfoss from our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was great. Dinner was tasty (Beyond Burgers all round) and despite not having any vegan desserts on the menu, the owners had arranged for vegan icecream to be delivered specially. The staff were sensitive to the member of our group with a nut/seed allergy. I would highly recommend this hotel. Parking was easy just in front of the hotel. All 6 of our group felt we could have stayed longer.

Beautifully renovated guesthouse less than 10 minutes from Seljalandsfoss. Of course, you should expect thin walls but since all guests were there to rest we didn't have any problems. The staff is kind and accommodating, and even went out of the way to rescue us when we got stranded in the snowstorm (yes, we became THAT kind of tourist). A warm shower, comfortable bed, and super quiet location ideal for seeing the northern lights (which we saw).

Nuovissima struttura nelle campagne islandesi, silenziosissima e moderna. Facile da raggiungere, belle le stanze, con un tocco di design.
Colazione Plus!
Ottima posizione per l'aurora.

Quiet place.
The breakfast was empty when we got there with no refill.

Absolute Empfehlung!

Great place and location for those looking to be isolated and looking for Aurora Borealis. We see it in the first night besides the full moon.
Nothing.

Loved the breakfast! Waffles, bacon, beans, eggs! Not just sandwiches like in most hotels we visited in Iceland.
Also loved the location. It was great to watch aurora even laying in bed. And it’s so close to popular tourist attractions.

Great remote location and we saw the Northern lights from our hotel room window! Breakfast and evening meal were great, don’t be put off by the basic looking menu, the food quality was good. Lovely modern bathroom and comfy bed.
It was everything we needed.

The staff is just wonderfully helpful, the waffles are amazing with great coffee.
Our car battery died and the owners drove home to get a bumper cable.
Just absolutely lovely people

The accommodation is very lovely. The rooms are nice and clean. The bathroom very modern. Breakfast is amazing. And the location is very good to explore the surrounding from Vik to Hella!

It really is a great little spot on the middle of nowhere. We absolutely loved it. Comfy beds, great views, great staff. It's not luxury by any means, but it's a fabulous country lodge.

The staff was nice and welcoming. The room was clean & bright. Was offered a fan when I told them the room was stuffy. Surrounding was a big field of lupines.
Only thing I didn’t like was the long gravel path leading to the unassuming hotel that was a treasure waiting to be discovered.

This hotel was great. As we drove up for the first time, we had some initial concerns which were instantly dispelled the moment we got inside. The hotel is situated alone in a beautiful field/plain. At first, you think "this is in the middle of nowhere" and then you realize, this is great, this is all alone and you have beautiful views and no immediate neighbors.
Happily, the dinners they serve are delicious. All the guests said so. We stayed there three nights, and the two other nights we ate out at highly rated restaurants. Both nights, we wished we had eaten at Hotel Selja instead.
We highly recommend this.

Breakfast was great. Hot choices of bacon, eggs, and waffles plus the standard Iceland breakfast fare. Location was perfect for our itinerary. The staff was friendly.
Room seemed damp upon entry. Had to open the windows to try to help. As was usual in Iceland, the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Don’t like it when hotels put throw pillows on their beds. Prefer just an extra pillow so I can be sure the cover is clean. No restaurants close by.

Great location, waterfall views, and friendly staff. breakfast and coffee were excellent!
Bed was decent but could have been comfier (or it could’ve just been my jet lag).

Location was remote and yet still easy to reach. Views were fantastic from our room. The quantity of birdlife in the surrounding fields was astounding. Room was clean and comfortable. We arrived very late so missed dinner but had a lovely picnic in the dining area where plates, glasses and cutlery were available. Breakfast was lovely and the staff extremely helpful even when my husband over filled their waffle machine creating a huge mess!

The location of this hotel is remote but beautiful. Very clean rooms with large shower. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
