The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

We had plenty of space, and a nice view of the river in our top floor room. It was a pleasant stroll into town.

Needs a good freshen up as it is very outdated.

Location was great. Within walking distance of town and the market. Unit was older but so well maintained and spotlessly clean that the age of the unit wasn't significant. - immaculate!

We would have used a coffee plunger if there was one there but for one night that wasn't a concern.

Great value, Friendly Staff.

Staff was lovely. Rooms where great for price.

Unfortunately someone parked in our car park after we came back from dinner. Had to park on road side. Otherwise very happy with our stay.

Good for the money

Great location close to the river and an easy walk into town. Pleasant staff. Although basic, the room was clean and comfortable enough - what you'd expect for the price. Useful to have a coin-operated laundry onsite.

Really patchy wifi. The room next to ours was being renovated so it was extremely noisy, making the staying in the unit during working hours impossible. Worth checking beforehand if that would be likely to impact on your stay.

Check that any 'garden' unit you book for has been upgraded.

The location of the unit, near the river and close to town centre. The unit was very clean. By 'room' we mean lounge area. The manager and owner listened to our concerns and we got a rebate.

The unit we were in did not resemble anything on Riverview's website. Had we known what it was like we would never have booked. These 'garden units' are in urgent need of upgrading - repainting and major refurbishing. Six nights is a long time in a dreary place.

We really enjoyed our stay, and it is good value for money.

We really enjoyed our two-bedroom apartment. It was a home away from home. It was spotless and we felt very safe. It was convenient to town, within walking distance. We both thought it was extremely good value and we would go there again if we were in Wanganui again.

Shower and jug need updating.. Stairs up to room wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. Just a bit tired and dated, all round.

Best place to stay in Whanganui!

Our 2 bedroom apartment/unit was amazing! so huge. Well equipped, immaculately clean; and in a very handy location. It is a lovely surprise tucked away and just across from the river. And .... such great value for money. The host was very friendly, and gave good advice on places to eat etc.

Great View of River

Nice view over Whanganui River and the bush and park beyond. Good location with pathway opposite. Tidy and clean. Quiet unit inside, didn't hear any other guests, although motel was full the first night we were there. We stayed 2 nights.

Windows could either close or be wide open. Had to shut in heavy rain. No air con on very hot day, but had 2 fans. Traffic quite noisy.
