Solid mid-tier (by high standards) hotel with convenient location and nice pool.
Slightly dated. Had to organize my daily activities outside hotel (local agency nearby will do custom trips to avoid the mass-tourism arriving by the thousands in the newly built fast train from China).

The hotel is gorgeous and in a great location. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. I can’t give them enough praise. Channaly helped us with so many details.
I’m madly in love with the hotel and town.

Used to be a prince palace before. very good decor. Close to the walking street. Breakfast was great. Wide selection and delicious lao food. All staff are very helpful with smiles always.
Can’t complain for anything

Very attentive staff who are happy to help with any and all requests. Breakfast was lovely and the fresh eggs made on request were fabulous. The location is great for a quick walk into the heart of the old town. I had dinner in the restaurant one night and that was fabulous with a great range of options and drinks.
My room could be a little noisy I think because the door didn’t seal very well when shut and so even people walking past quietly talking could be heard.

Property is set in a beautiful old French chateau. The grounds are a real oasis and the pool is divine!
The internet didn’t work very well and the breakfast was not very good

The hotel is beautiful, tidy and super clean, it has a lot of green space to enjoy. The staff is the most kind and happy I´ve ever seen. The view of the bedrooms is lovely , it is peaceful and location couldn´t be better. The spa is highly recommended as well.
The wifi is weak at the bedrooms.

The gardens are very nice
The bathroom was a bit dark and would benefit from an exhaust fan.

We loved our stay here, the beautiful rooms, grounds and location. Its the perfect boutique hotel and the staff were very professional. The spa was excellent. We really appreciated the very good housekeeping and turn down service.
The breakfast could be much improved

A colonial style heritage hotel, nice building with big gardens/green. I stayed upstair with a wide exterior corridor that looks good. Generally quiet as there are not many rooms in the large compound.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location, not far from the night market and old town.
Bathroom has been renovated and looks good. However, the wash basin and toilet are lower than usual and not as convenient especially for older customers. I think the floor level has been raised during the renovation, hence the toilet seat and basin now become lower.

The hotel was lovely and quaint. Nice pool area and comfy sun beds. Room was lovely. Loved how the staff came in at night and lit the oil burner so the room always smelled good. The best thing about the hotel was the absolutely lovely staff. they couldn’t do enough for us and were always friendly and polite. They also sorted out a 4pm checkout which was much appreciated. Really good location too. They also arranged a driver for the waterfalls and airport transfer.

Lovely room with balcony overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable and large! Air conditioning worked well which was great because it was hot outside. Friendly staff and daily room service if you wanted it. Overall we would stay here again.
The breakfast was included but the food was ok, and the service was a bit slow. We ordered off of the menu on the weekend and the portions were small and eggs Benedict included only one small poached egg on a piece of white bread. On Monday they had a buffet which had more choices than on the menu.
There is a lovely pool by the restaurant which was large enough to swim laps…there were plenty of lounge chairs but only a couple of umbrellas? I asked for one and they took one of two that were in the restaurant. More umbrellas are needed to make sitting by the pool more enjoyable and would be a welcome relief from the heat.

The Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They were helpful in recommendations and booking us a car service to Kuang Si Falls and to the train station. Comfortable stay in a convenient location to the city's center where the night market is.

The main building is the former the residence of the late Prince Souvanna Phouma. Rooms were a good size, and the whole vibe has a sense of history. Breakfast was simple and fresh, served by the pool. Location of the hotel is just outside of the main drag, which we appreciated. Quite, but very accessible by walk or Tuktuk.
We were greeted at the hotel by the lovely staff with a cold beverage and cold towels scented with lemon grass. Nice touch. The pool was clean and crisp, which provided relief from the hot climate. Happy hour at 4pm was a looked forward to event. As most of the town primarily accepts KIP, the hotel was kind enough put some of the bigger expenses on the bill to let us settle at the end, ie- Transportation for the day, pottery house, ect.
All in all, no complaints.

Breakfast varied each day but you could ask for anything and it would be served.
Price was quite high but a beautiful house and pool.

The staff were absolutely lovely! They were extremely friendly and arranged transportation for us to the Kuang Si falls, a morning market visit followed by a cooking class in the hotel and train tickets to Vientiane. They even put pictures of the cooking class in a frame in our room with some flowers. A real surprise! We also enjoyed the central location, close to several wonderful restaurants (like Manda de Laos) and the free use of bicycles. Would definitely return here!

very nice staff especially in dining-and pool areas. Breakfast very nice choice. Bed very comfortable. Room facilities good with water replenished am and pm with turndown service. Candle with oil and joss sticks nice touch. Coffee and tea in room.
Pool policy wasn’t good. Pool area full on first afternoon so couldn’t use facilities. Sign outside hotel inviting non guests to use pool area for a fee so that explained it. Complained and sign was taken down so after that there was room for guests. Felt uncomfortable being surrounded by non guests apart from the security risk.Asked for an umbrella for shade but they only had the two used by the poolside restaurant. They did give us one of them but found it incredible there were none for the sun loungers as standard.
