Parking was convenient and safe. They allowed us to park onsite before check n time so we could attend a function in Warkworth. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We requested ground floor but were upstairs. Age and a bad hip don't make stairs an easy option but on this occasion we had almost no baggage so we managed..

My wife and I flew into Auckland and were travelling to the Bay of Islands and decided to spend our first night in Warkworth. It's a beautiful town, just big enough to have good facilities and restaurants, and the Bridgehouse Lodge is a shining example. Check in was easy and friendly, the building is very old but the room had been renovated nicely. We had dinner downstairs which was excellent. The hotel is right in the middle of town so you can walk to anywhere in Warkworth you care to visit. We loved it.
We stayed mid summer and the room was very hot. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan and the windows could be opened, so it was not a huge problem.

Super nettes Bar Personal, durften daher sogar nach offiziellen Check in Ende noch einchecken. Wir
Fön fehlt auf dem Zimmer, Bäder könnten etwas moderner sein

Very friendly staff.
The room wasnt too big but was fine for our needs. There was a leak in the bathroom, which was repaired the next morning. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious.

Good location. Suitable for a family stopover. Great restaurant/ meal.
A heat pump would have been nice.

central location
Very dated, could do with an upgrade.
Noisy. Parking is limited. The rooms need a safety chain for security.

Bar and restaurant right there. Great food and beer
Room was a little warm. No air-conditioning. Room was up in the roof space. There was a fan but we had to have it on all nite.

Room clean and adequate
The staff at check in were rather lacking in inter personal skills
The Wi-Fi connection was difficult to establish so it was raised with the staff.
The response was “well ours is working”…far from ideal
Tried to order a tap beer in the bar at the same time….there not available…what, twenty taps off?
When they be on, this evening?
“Don’t know, if they are it will be late”
Ordered two small bottles instead and it cost an absolute fortune.
It was now 1645, looked for a dinner menu to peruse for later that evening, only lunch ones on the bar.
Asked for a dinner menu and was told we’re on lunch until 1700. As,ed to view a dinner menu and one was reluctantly produced. Needless to say we did it eat in the restaurant or drink in the bar that night.
Staff need to develop their customer interaction and inter personal skills.
Nice hotel, good and handy location but sadly let down by the on duty, front of house personnel.

Location in the heart of Warkworth, free parking, excellent restaurant/bar.
A soap/shampoo dish in the shower would be great, and coffee mugs rather than small cups.

We wanted accommodation during prime season for the UB40 concert at Matakana and Bridgehouse Lodge was able to deliver a comfortable and clean room at a reasonable cost.

The Bridgehouse is located centrally in Warkworth village so it's an easy walk from the bus stop and so close to cafes, supermarkets, an interesting art gallery and other shops for exploring. The weir flows near to the bridge with multple cascading waterfalls and a river path is dappled in light with various seating to sit and enjoy nature with an icecream treat. I especially enjoyed this and was able to cool down after the heat of the journey. The Savana bakery is also a must, a favourite with locals, its delicious range of home baked food is mouthwatering. Recommend the apricot slice.
