Absolutely everything from start to finish.
The host went above and beyond, fantastic host, really kind man.
The location is out of this world, a truly beautiful spot.
It's absolutely fantastic covered in snow.
The owner even sorted out ice fishing for myself and the kids.
We have travelled the world many times, and I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful spots we have stayed in.
Very well equipped, shower and water was brilliant, very warm inside .
Having to go home.

Beautiful, functional, private cabin in the woods. Private road, so no traffic. It will work for people that want an outdoor experience, and sitting in the hot tub while getting the Northern Lights is special.
The cabin has electricity and WiFi, a 2 plate electric cooktop, small refrigerator, sink with insta hot water. There is electrical heating, and a wood stove if you want ambiance or just more heat.
You will need to meal prep due to the limited space. And do grocery plan as the stores are about 6 KM away.
In the winter the roads do get plowed, but be comfortable driving in the snow. You will need a car, as I don't think a taxi would be able to come to the cabin due to a privacy gate that has to be unlocked/ locked on entry/exit.
The hot tub and sauna are wood heated, so a little with fire starting will be helpful. We used the wood stove in the cabin a lot, but had to learn to manage the fire from getting the cabin too warm.
Limited room in the cabin, so can't have too much luggage, had space for a couple of suitcases as we needed winter gear.
The cabin is a little primitive with no bathroom, the toilet is a separate, heated, composting toilet. No shower. About 10 KM from the city center.

This property is amazing, and great value for money. It is absolutely essential to hire a car to get to this location, you cannot walk it from the checkpoint. Driving is fairly easy in Finland and is very easy to get the hang of it, as it is not as busy as the UK.
The pictures of this property does not do it justice, as our family absolutely loved it, and you can see the Northern Lights from the Sauna which was really special.
The cabin is only around 20 - 30 mins away from the airport, and all other attractions and only 5 minutes away from the main town. I would highly recommend this property for a quality, tranquil stay, with amazing views and amenities.

Very nice isolated location at the shore of a lake, without any other houses nearby. Amazing sauna and hot tub (extra fee) which need to be heated with a fire. We had a great stay :)
The bathroom in the cottage is rather sparse.

If you want to get away from it all, then this location is for you. The cottage is located deep in the forest with the nearest house being several miles away, and 8 miles from Rovaniemi city. A locked gate, you will have the key, ensures the forest area is not only secluded but very secure and quiet. Its distance into the forest means there are no passers by. You get a true sense of isolation and seclusion.
The cottage is constructed entirely of wooden logs, and is very cosy and comfortable. All the amenities are great. Kitchen is fully equipped, microwave, coffee maker, fridge freezer, dishwasher. The house is warm and cosy and there is ample supply of firewood in the woodshed for as many cosy fires as you want.
There is a small bathroom combined shower room with underfloor heating, and a small utility room with washing machine. A ladder/stair leads from the combined living/kitchen area to the loft where there are two single beds, a spare mattress and 2 chairs and a small table. The master bedroom is off the kitchen, with glorious views out through the trees and down towards the lake. The bed is comfortable and the room is very cosy.
In the grounds there is a woodshed, a Hot-tub which comes at an extra cost and a sauna. I decided to use the hot tub and paid the extra. It takes a lot of maintenance to run the hot tub and sauna, so be warned, you will need to feed the fires at least every 20 minutes for several hours. Nothing quite beats being in hot water under the full moon when the outside temperature is minus 25 degrees celsius.
Practicalities - the location would be impossible to navigate without a car, in snowy conditions, Jouni, the owner will plough the tracks to the cottage. But, take extra care on the forest track, they can be slippery, but the drive is beautiful.
Visit a supermarket before heading to the cottage, I used the Lidl and K Citymarket.
Incredible place, surrounded by nature and peace and quiet.
There were no negatives for me. I would have liked a sofa rather than the armchairs, but I also understand that space is an issue, and it really was not a problem.

Nothing.

Best location ever for the property! It's up in the forest, surrounded by woods and lakes with a magnificent view. At night we've had the chance to observe the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of the house.
The sauna could have been a little closer to the house (or guests should be advised to bring bath robes). While in Finland is normal to go out on -30 degrees, roll in the snow and jump in the sauna (all naked ofc), this is a bit tough if it's the first time you encounter such temperatures.

The owners were so helpful, Joni actually helped us out when our car got stuck in the snow when we first arrived.
The cottage was super clean, cozy and warm! It is very private and you get your own little sauna house, wood house and at this time of the year a frozen lake. The sunrise and sunset from the cottage are both phenomenal!
