Grand old building with real elegance and style. The staff are also exceptionally friendly and helpful. The parking garage is superb for those that like to securely park their motors.
The lack of a restaurant is a minor inconvenience, however once you accept this, the local spots more than make up.

Bemötandet. Mycket trevlig miljö i hela huset.

Really enjoyed our stay, even though it was for just one night to travel down to southern France. Friendly personnel and good service. The room was clean and we had a nice view on the courtyard. We took the breakfast and it was decent. Not the best coffee, but everything else about it was more than fine. We didn’t use all of the services such as the swimming pool, but they did tell us about it. The hostess speaks English very well, which was pleasant. They helped us by giving suggestions for restaurants as well, even though there’s hardly something open in France on Sundays. If you arrive by car, you can use the secured garage across the street. The hotel is located on walking distance from the little town and the vineyards.
There was a bit of a stale scent in the building, but it’s a really old building, so you can expect that.

Prachtig oud pand in klassiek Franse sfeer.

Great location not too far from the autoroute. Lovely peaceful village, reception booked us a restaurant for a meal.
Reception didn’t open until 08:30 on the weekend, which delayed us on our way to Calais, as we needed to settle our bill. Had we known this, we would have paid in advance.

It was a lovely comfortable place to stay which had been recommended to us by friends. It was in a good location to walk amongst the many vineyards.
I would have preferred to have had a shower rather than a bath.

It was a lovely property which has a story and nice that it us now a beautifully renovated hotel.
There wasn’t anything not to like. However our room had a bath and no shower - which some rooms do.

Breakfast was excellent, staff was very friendly. We have arrived on the holiday and we got excellent recommendation for the bar. Outside covered terrace is an extra bonus.
We liked everything, only suggestion is to extend the glass barrier in the shower.

A really comfortable hotel in a great location. Extremely pleasant and helpful reception when we arrived. Would recommend to anybody.
I think 20 euros each for breakfast for what was on offer is very expensive.
The town of Ay could benefit from more restuarants as we had to drive to epernay to dine, (not the hotels fault).

Charming, small hotel in a peaceful small town. Beautiful stained glass scattered around the hotel. Kind, helpful staff who went out of their way to arrange a short visit and tasting at their champagne company. Good secure car parking. And their champagne is delicious too!
Nothing. it was great

Stunning property in the tranquil and beautiful village of Ay. I particularly enjoyed the pool after walking the hills of Champagne. Close to many other Champagne villages. Would also recommend a visit to Pressoria - just around the corner - very unique and different museum experience
Breakfast was delicious but quite expensive

The hotel is in a great central location to visit the Champagne region and visit a number of producers. We dined in Epernay for each night of our stay and it was very convenient to get there from the hotel by car. We had ample parking in the hotel's secured garage and street partking to load and unload was never a problem. We purchased breakfast at the hotel daily and found it to be complete in the typical European manner. The availability of water, tea, coffee, and a light snack in the hotel's library was a very welcome treat and the staff paid attention to every detail. The room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.
The wifi did not work in any part of the hotel during our stay. Unfortunately, I needed to log into two work meetings during the stay, but was able to hotspot from my phone. Not ideal, but I managed to make it work.

great breakfast, comfortable and quiet rooms, lovely staff, wonderful building - will stay again
please provide more help & info with dinner places that are open, as there are almost no places to eat at night in the off season - we will have to search for ourselves for next time

The kindness and helpfulness of the lady we met on arrival (who I think was the proprietor) was outstanding as were all the staff we came in contact with. Breakfast very good. Really secure garage for car parking. Tea, coffee and water available in sitting /lounge room. Also bottled water on each bedside locker.
‘Last orders’ for breakfast was 9 am which I thought a little early especially on a Saturday - other than that no complaints.

swimming pool & a very welcoming Isobelle was helpful and a friendly member of staff who made our stay memorable. Good breakfast.
We booked a suite purely because it said it had a kitchenette and we drink a lot of tea, unfortunately it did not have a kitchenette, nor kettle, It appears to be a translation issue, facilties were available in the lounge area for drinks.

the mistake made at registration , one suite instead of a double room..

Super friendly staff. Owners we met are wonderful people. Quiet location in the middle of the vineyards. Clean and comfortable rooms. Elevator for us was a must. Swimming pool is a nice bonus, although we did not use it.
Due to a misunderstanding in the word "disability " making our reservation, we did not get a room with a shower but with a bathtub. Owner was very apologetic and we accepted her apology. Making a reservation for a person with disabilities, it is best to use the word "handicapés " and a request for a room with a shower.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. It's charmingly decorated and the staff is very friendly. They offered a little card for a free champagne tasting up the road and we met the owner of the champagne house, who also owns the hotel! She was very gracious and gave us a mini-tour of her pressing room!
