The pool seemed nice, the location is good for moving around Santa Ana-Alajuela, its a nice area.
This is one of the filthiest hotels I have been in, we had to leave. The amount of junk (food, aluminum bags, etc.) below the bed was incredible and the carpets were extremely dirty.

The location of this hotel absolutely cannot be beat for my needs, which is for work/business in the Forum I business park which is literally right across the street. There are also free semi-rapid EV chargers right down the road, and a paid rapid charger across the street (in front of Forum I) which is very convenient for me as an EV (electric vehicle) owner. The staff were friendly and responsive to our concerns.
As other reviewers have mentioned, they need to work on cleaning and hygiene. There were small human hairs on our sheets (which to their credit, when we called the front desk they sent someone immediately to change the bedding). Multiple light bulbs in the room were burnt out. Stains on the furniture, and grime on the lamp shades.
The garbage bins in the room have no bags, and when we mentioned this to the cleaning woman who was changing the bedding, she informed us that they don't put bags in the garbage bins, not even in the restroom. This is deplorable and needs to be changed immediately. There are people with medical conditions (colostomies for example, in my case) - or heck, even women on their period - that need to dispose of things that can't be flushed down the toilet and that should not be placed into a bare trash bin without a bag. How can they say they don't put bags in the trash bins with a straight face?! Absolutely appalling and needs to be changed immediately - PUT BAGS IN THE TRASH BINS.
Which brings me to my second point - when they charge $14 for a cocktail or $10 USD for a single Corona (beer!) at the hotel bar, they should be able to afford to put trash bags in the waste bins.
The room was very small, not the kind of place I look forward to spending a week in at a time, which I am occasionally going to have to do for work - because even though I'm quite disappointed the location cannot be beat for my needs.
Finally, I was told that the room I paid $130 per night for through Booking.com would have been less than $100 if booked directly.
