Food was incredible. Staff was so kind, including helping us put on our Yukatas because we didn't know how.

Authentic 5* experience and kaiseki

5* authentic experience. Kaiseki was rich in variety, and fabulous. Highly recommending for those, who enjoy quiet and peaceful rest.

Onsen can be a little too hot, but the entire experience when staying in this ryokan that you have access to multiple osens around. Ryokan provides yukatas and everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

Beautiful, excellent, cathartic, are the words I would use to describe this amazing establisment

Service was excellent, food was delicious. They even left treats in our room and gave very clear instructions on using the various amenities

Not too sure, everything was perfect and just how I always dreamed of experiencing an onsen

Fantastic ryokan experience in a beautiful onsen town.

The whole experience was fantastic, from the service, the space and the setting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic ryokan experience.

Much needed stay to recharge

The staff were genuine and very hospitable. The onsens were good and room was very comfortable with all the amenities that we need.

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay at Kamei no Yu. The lady at check in was very kind and helpful. Dinner was wonderful and it was nice to be able to book a private onsen. The accommodation is linked to a much larger hotel, where we were able to use the onsen and where dinner was held. I made a mistake with check out and they were very lovely about it. The matcha and sweet on arrival were very nice as well.

very pleasant Japanese guesthouse

The staff is very kind and helpful. we even got a free ride to the train station. Really recommend trying the private bath!

Fantastic Onsen in Yamanouchi

The hotel was exactly what we hoped for. It was traditional in style, had a range of bath options and looked fantastic. The room had plenty of space for two people and was stylish and warm. It was comfortable and the staff were very helpful and attentive but not at all intrusive. Our lack of Japanese was no issue for them or us. It was an easy walk to the Yadanaka train station and bus stop to the snow monkey park. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing.

Exceptional

Beautiful ryokan in the heart of Yudanaka. Perfect for overnight stay before visiting the snow monkeys. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were amazing, as was the onsen in the sister hotel. Great friendly service, they made sure we got to the free snow monkey transfer on time. Would definitely recommend!
