Perfect family-friendly resort with lots to do 🇹🇭

We’re a family of 5 (three children aged 15, 13 and 8) so finding somewhere to suit all our needs is often difficult. This place was perfect - we got an early check in and two rooms near to each other, as per our requests. Two big pools, brilliant slide and a smaller raised pool for chilling out in. Always sun loungers available and a beautiful beach too. There was a small gym, pool table, air hockey, tennis courts and table tennis table. The breakfast had a great range of food and drinks and the hotel was just a short walk from lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We ate at the hotel once too, which was good value for money.

The mosquitos were a bit of a pest and the watered down alcohol in cocktails was frustrating - although we found this everywhere we went in Khao Lak. Other than these small bits, it was brilliant.

Die Anlage an sich ist toll und hat riesiges Potenzial, aber es ist großer Renovierungsbedarf.

Das Hotel hatte zwei Bereiche durch eine Straße getrennt. Der Beach Wing lag wie benannt direkt am Strand mit separatem Pool, einer Strandbar und genügend Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Auch der obere Bereich hatte zwei riesige Pool und genügend Liegen, aber es war definitiv nicht ausgelastet. Das Frühstück war gut und es wurde immer zügig nachgelegt, auch wenn man erst relativ spät zum Frühstück gegangen ist, hat man alles bekommen.

Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war definitiv defekt, unsere gesamten Klamotten waren immer richtig feucht und auch die Betten waren unangenehm klamm. Diese Feuchtigkeit hat man einfach nicht rausbekommen, auch wenn wir den ganzen Tag die Abzugslüftung im Bad anhatten. Nach Anfrage an der Rezeption, hatte sich das wohl ein Techniker angeschaut, aber laut Aussage, lag es wohl daran, dass die anderen Zimmer zu kalt eingestellt waren und demnach bei uns dann zu feucht wird. Der Pool war viel zu warm. Die Poolbar im oberen Hotelbereich war nicht besetzt und absolut vergammelt. Es gab viele kleine defekte um den Pool herum, wo man sich leicht hätte verletzen können. Die Grünanlage bedarf mehr Pflege.

Würden dieses Hotel gerne wieder buchen

Frühstück Top, Zimmer sehr gute Lage (Meerseite) und gepflegt, Strand Top, Zentrale Lage, trotzdem sehr ruhig, 5 Minuten Fußweg zu den Bars und Restaurants an der Hauptstraße.

Bei der Pflege der Außenanlagen gibt es leichten Verbesserungsbedarf, Bedienung an der Beachbar hat Luft nach oben.

A large resort split into two with good pools.

A big resort with large pools. We had a very roomy pool villa close to the Olympic size pol at the back in the garden. Moniter lizards, birds and even a tree shrew seen. Staff friendly and room service food we ordered was good. Breakfast had a fair selection.

We were under the impression that we had a vila near the beach which was not so, Beds ver hard but soon rectified with toppers. Facilities limited due bookings and the beach facilities quite a way from room.

Loveky, relaxing stay

Room was huge and beds comfortable. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Pool is great and staff are lovely. Everybody very friendly and helpful.

Balcony chairs and bathroom and public areas a little dated and could do with some TLC. Muzak at breakfast was annoying and more variety of food items at breakfast would have been appreciated. Sunlongers round pool are tired and stretched so not very comfortable.

Trevligt resort med bra läge men något slutet.

Mycket bekväma sängar. Bra läge. Två fina poolområden, framför allt på garden side.

A new favourite, we will be back

Had a Villa with private pool, what an amazing room. Was low season so had the use of the amazing pool to ourselves. Staff went out of their way to make our stay so special. Highly recommend the coffee shop of the hotels up near the Mac Donald's. We originally booked for 4 days and added another 3. Love this hotel and plan to go back here again.

Fantastic and relaxing

Seaview is an absolutely fantastic hotel. The grounds are very large, but the lay-out make it feel very private. One part of the hotel faces down towards the beach, the other part is on the other side of the road. Both have huge pools and gardens. In some places the hotel is a bit worn, but that doesn't really matter. Pools are kept very clean. Lots of animals in the gardens and ponds (fish, frogs, lizards etc.). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The small bungalows with private pool can definitely be recommended. Shops, restaurants, laundry service etc. within walking distance.

Perfect beachfront location and immaculate accommodations. A truly remarkable stay.

Amazing location, very clean rooms, lots of breakfast options, and a spacious beachfront. the two pools that were open were meticulous maintained, daily housekeeping and daily water were a nice bonus. i definitely will return.

A large portion of the property was unoccupied. i am assuming due to lack of clientele this is why one of the pools and game room were not maintained/open. Hopefully more tourists will return to Khao Lak so this hotel can once again be in its prime. i still highly recommend.

Decent enough buffet breakfast, good location, nice pool, on the beach which is lovely.

Resort location right on the beach. Spacious room. Easy walk to part of the Khao Lak strip with restaurants, bars, shops, transportation etc so very convenient. There's a small gym on site that's great to keep working out in air-conditioned temperatures :)

Room wasn't the cleanest; I think there had been some construction because there was white construction dust everywhere, especially the bathroom. It wasn't properly cleaned for the time I was there. The resort restaurant was uninspired in terms of atmosphere and offerings; I would recommend going elsewhere for food or even sunset drinks. Breakfast was marginal at best; very few options, same every day. As with many resorts: guests put their towels down to 'reserve' beach loungers -which are free, anyway- only to disappear for hours. Staff don't do anything to stop this, and people who actually want to enjoy the beach then can find no more space.

Pleasant and good value overall

Large comfortable room, nice bathroom. Pleasant decor but nothing special. Balcony with 2 chairs. I was in the Ocean view wing but couldn’t see the water because of large trees. Just a 5 minute walk to the main road with many restaurants and bars if you cut directly through the property using a service road.

The breakfast buffet is adequate but not great. They do have expresso/cappuccino machines. The beach right in front is not bad, but it’s not the prettiest section because of some rounded rock outcrops and some patches of dark sand, and the water is very shallow. But just a 5 minute walk to the right and the beach gets better, and 5 minutes beyond that even nicer. So not a big deal. No shower gel or shampoo dispensers in the shower. Even 1 star hotels in Thailand that I’ve been to have those.
