Well kept place with special allure
Breakfast served scarcely by owner. No buffet, had to ask for more coffee, for more yoghurt or anything else. Poor.

The host was exceptionally kind. He takes proud in his historic house and cares about the place and his guests. The room was very stylish and comfy, nicely furnished. The garden was a beautiful little respite and there was private parking. Breakfast was nice.
Opening the taps and shower head were a bit weird. The hosts are aware if it and they warned us but it would irritate me if I stayed longer.

Beautifully restored old house in the middle of Cinfaes with lots of fascinating objects which are part of the building’s history. Breakfast included delicious homemade jams and fruits grown on the family farm. Rooms were extremely clean.

Excellent! The owner is a very pleasant man who speaks Portuguese, French and English. He helps with everything, personally serves the breakfast etc. We got to choose from two rooms and picked the one which suited us better. The house itself and it's surrounding are beautiful and very well maintained. I can highly recommend this place to anyone.

A very friendly host, who made every effort to make our stay interesting and enjoyable, including phoning restaurants to find one that was open in the evening on Corpus Christi day. Delightful and copious breakfast. Interesting and quirky decor in a traditional house which had been renovated personally by the owner. Granite everywhere!!
We didn't like the free standing bath with hand held shower over, or the washbasin, which was a lacquered turned burl. They were interesting but, in our view, impractical. This is, of course, a matter of personal choice.

Nice breakfast and pretty location.
We had the front room closest to the street - the AC in the unit didn't work well and the bed was extremely hard. The rest of the facility seemed to be cool, so if you stay there ask not to be in the front bedroom.

very dark and "depressing" batbroom. Host is sonehow nuce but also weird in a way asking us a lot of questions in some sort inquisiton style "where did you have diner, why did you go there, how was it, etc." yo sum it uo me and my friend left thnking "the dude is weird in a creepy way"

Jose, our host, was wonderful. So accommodating and helpful. Great breakfast. Parking on site. Roof terrace to sit on with a view across the Douro. Only 30mins from the Arouca footbridge and the Paiva walkways. Several decent restaurants within a short walk. Perfect.

The couple who owns the place is lovely - really friendly and talkative. It's an old house, completely remodeled inside in a rustic style which I find very comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast has a variety of homemade foods, fresh bread, fruit and cereal. There's also plenty of parking and 2 supermarkets nearby.

Good loacation, easy to find, good breakfast with home made products.
Water in shower was cold, need more temperature.
