Extremely clean hotel with very friendly staff.
Choice of food and drink was good and breakfast was excellent.
Good location and parking was very easy.
Value for money and I would recommend for a family.
The hotel is old and slightly tired but the rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean

Breakfast was basic but good. Location was perfect for us but not suitable for people with mobility problems
3.4
Very clean and spacious

Our room was clean, large and quiet. Beds were comfy and linen clean and bright. Lots of parking, its about a 7 minute walk downhill to get into town centre. Price of the room in August was reasonable for this area - you pay for what you get!
Inadequate signage to help you find the hotel. Hotel is shabby and dated all over, very tired. No Scottish staff!
Shower was just a miserable dribble...
3.4
The pool was open, and we did get half an hour before a local learn to swim class started, OK I suppose pools are more for kids...
So, we booked a "cozy double" but at £125, for one night it wasn't cheap and although it was clean, it was just half a grade from a refugees hostel. There were better rooms and we were offered an upgrade but I feel Pitlochry is over pricing itself.
3.4
El tamaño de la habitación, la limpieza y en si, todo el hotel.
Tuvimos problemas con el grifo de la ducha, que se obturó y no pudimos ducharnos.
3.4
Breakfast was just ok. Bacon very dry. Mushrooms mushy. Haggis dry.
Road to hotel very hilly, a complimentary mini bus to take you up and down would be very helpful. Especially for those with impaired walking.
The inside of building looking very tired, needs painting, and a refresh of artificial plants locations need reviewing.
The chap in the reception office area wearing a cap etc did not look very professional.

Just loved it xll our first time in Pitlochry and we were very impressed how clean the whole area was ie streets no litter caffees were all excellent too Hotel was perfect for our 2 nights stay and Entertainer on Wed was very good especially as it was my husbands Birthday so perfect end to our stay Staff were all very friendly Food was excellent too as a retired cook myself I was really loved it and presentation to was first class .we will be sure to visit again .
There was nothing we didn't like except maybe weather could have been nicer but that no reflection on hotel as we know Scottish weather is very mixed . It didn't prevent us going out.

Rooms are run down need of refurbishment , basic , hard to communicate we staff , smile and a hello cost nothing makes you feel welcome , breakfast was basic no much choice staff seem unhappy

Loved the setting and how close it was to the town . Room had nice view and was very comfortable.
The food was slightly disappointing in comparison to everything else .
3.4
Lovely to look at,
The bedroom was tacky, the wallpaper peeling off.
Very grey and gloomy.
Shower had no hot water coming through.
Jacuzzi. Was broken too.

Nice pleasant staff .
No towels in morning to go and use the pool was told ran out and had to use used ones in room that we showered with !!
Breakfast was average … burnt sausages and potatoe scones .rooms dates .. walls badly needed painted again . No glasses in bathroom … bed very hard and uncomfortable.

Mir hat nichts gefallen. Die Unterkunft war unterirdisch schlecht. Ich kann nur jedem raten, diese Unterkunft zu meiden.
Dreckig, ungepflegt, super heruntergekommen.

The character and the location
Dated room. Quite basic. Not the cleanest.
3.4
The staff at Pitlochry Hydro is friendly and the rooms are reasonably clean.
The hotel must have known better days. However maintenance seems to have low priority which shows in the lobby, the corridors and other public spaces. Creaking floorboards may sounds romantic but covered with a stained carpet it is less attractive. The stained carpet continued in the room which was - apart from the carpet - okay. However when booking a room with a view, one doesn't expect to have a view on the car-park...
Breakfast is served form 8 till 10 which is late for the early-birds who want to make the most of the day.

Bar and restaurant look updated.
Pool and sauna we're very good.
Beautiful location.
The condition of the bedroom was very poor, decoration is tired and old and the bathroom wouldn't have looked out of place in 1975.
3.4
Perfect location and breakfast was lovely, rooms were big and very comfortable, lovely meal in the bar and excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.
Liked everything

It’s an old building in a desperate need of being updated

Clean, friendly staff, amenities in good working order, food was great with quick service
3.4
the only thing going for this hotel is its location
it was dirty, there was a stench in and around the building and room. it was dirty and isn’t getting cleaned properly. the hotel needs some investment as it could be a lovely place
3.4
The pool was nice
Do not stay here but if you have to, do not go for rooms that have scenic views, these are most likely over the front entrance, and this is also the covered area for covered outdoor socialising. The hotel does not, or they say they do not have no control of what time the guests stay outside for. During our stay there was constant loud noise from outdoor guests until well after 5am. 7.30am in the morning when I went out guests were drinking bottles of white wine!! We were told the night porter tried to calm the guests down but could not. The manager did not seem to care about our experience at all. Okay the guests were the problem, but equally the hotel was also the problem as they could not contain the guests. If it was a public bar, outdoor drinking would be stopped at 10pm/ 11pm latest.
Beds were not comfy sprung across the floor as you tossed and turned, perhaps as they were twin beds, normally zipped to a double.
The coffee wasn't great at breakfast time.
Please avoid if you can. This is the first time I have felt so strongly about a hotel stay. It is a hotel that is overpriced for what it offers which has no care for all guests.
