Amazing location with great views. Lovely just to walk around the grounds.
Rooms were very warm on the south facing side but we then worked out that the windows can be open and there are fans.

Schönes Hotel in großzügiger Gartenanlage - mit kleinem japanischem Garten - gelegen. Kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten. Sehr netter Empfang. Schöne Zimmer gut ausgestattet. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Gute Lage, fußläufig zur Blair Atholl Distillerie, fußläufig zum Ort.
Das Bad dürfte modernisiert werden.

Amazing location in its own grounds with views of the hills and valley, yet close to the centre of town and the local theatre. Great staff and ambience. Fabulous food and an outstanding buffet style breakfast.
For selfish reasons, would have loved an EV charging station at the hotel, although there are some local options in the town. Would be great if the gym was 24 hours too.

Excellent lounge areas. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Room was a bit small but as a single that didn't matter too much. Very good food throughout. View from restaurant is superb.
On one or two brief occasions I found the reception staff somewhat vague and distracted. The young man who signed me in and out was fine, but when I made a very simple request to someone else later, I got the distinct impression that my question was seen as quite unimportant, so I gave up. Breakfast: are fried eggs not readily available? Also, at 7.30 (I accept this is early and maybe the serving range had not fully heated up), I ended up with a plate of warm food, not hot food. This was disappointing.

room and hotel architecture
noise travels from the lobby to the rooms. We could hear every time someone opened the lobby doors

Location. Grand entrance. Lovely gardens. Reception staff.
Dirty bathroom and bed and dining room. £289 for a superior room that was miles away from superior. Greasy food at breakfast. Undercooked eggs and stale pastries. Impatient staff who always look under intense pressure. Dominated by coach parties. Extortionate priced food and drink. £55 for dinner that is basically very poor quality pub food. Plus supplements! £12 for glass of wine. £8 a pint. These are prices charged by 5* luxury hotels. For example, Gleneagles charges £8 a pint. No comparison. This beautiful historic hotel deserves better. Management needs to check rooms and consider its pricing structure.

Amazing views and lovely staff room was clean and very nice
Price of food was a little bit on the high side but after eating the food it was definitely well worth it

We had a lovely room overlooking the extensive gardens. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The buffet breakfast had a wide choice of continental or cooked. The Gluten-free choice was a bonus.
A small fridge in the room would have been helpful

Good location and beautiful groundsQ
We upgraded to a suite, unfortunately the rooms were not very comfortable. The sofa and chairs were quite low, making it uncomfortable on backs, knees, and hips.
The check-in clerk walked us to our room, but they offered no bell service. She did roll one of our small carry-on pieces of luggage to the third floor, but left all the luggage for my mid 70 year old husband to carry upstairs to our fourth floor room. (I recently had back surgery and struggled with the stairs,). The elevator only goes to the third floor. To get to our upgraded fourth floor room required narrow stairs.
The upgraded room, a suite had two bathrooms, each with a small pedestal sink. The only surface area to store toiletries was a small shelf approximately 4“ x 12“. I chose the upgrade for the “spa“. The definition of spa is clearly different in Scotland. The “spa” was a narrow one person bathtub with jets.

The palace was so very lovely!
The rooms (3) were all very hot. The only option was to open the window which did not help much.

Location was great. Stunning building. Enjoyed the spa treatment and museum.
Attention to detail in the cleanliness of the bedroom carpet in our arrival.
Limited vegetarian choices on menu.
Would love to have had a better view from the bedroom.
We weren’t able to get a seat in the bar after dinner, so went back to our room. We could have sat at any of the seating areas, but those next to the fires were occupied. First come, first served.
There was a bit of noise from people in the room above stomping about until about 12.30, but didn’t last too long.

Lovely location.
The window in my room was screwed shut so I could not open it at all and the room was really hot at all times - please note the radiator was off. I found two men’s t shirts in one of the drawers when I first got into my room when unpacking. This suggests to me that the room was not really clean.
It’s shocking that absolute basics like a ‘clean room’ with fresh air were not provided considering the extortionate prices for rooms, and this was a single room.
In hindsight I should have asked to change rooms, but I was aware the hotel was pretty much booked up due to a wedding.

Location and friendly staff
Spa was shut but we did not know that in advance , it could have been cleaner, food was expensive but average and £22 supplement charge for having a steak seems too much.

It was nice we had a good time staying here as a family
Lots of people around and the staff were lovely
The water pressure in the showers weren’t the best and the water was a little brown in colour

The building is obviously very beautiful and really that’s what you are paying for as the room was one of the smallest we have stayed in and rather quite basic. The room was clean and comfortable and all we needed for a 1 night stay. The breakfast was excellent with a fantastic choice. It was a lovely walk to the town centre where there were lovely bars and restaurants.
Although very beautiful the room didn’t warrant the price we had paid none the less we had a wonderful stay.

Very attentive staff, comfortable beds, traditional feel to interior of hotel. Good atmosphere in the bar at night.
Lack of sockets next to bedside table. Signage to spa a bit confusing. Vegetarian meal options limited.

Restaurant was very good. Entertainment in bar on Saturday night was very good.
Creaky floorboards on floor above. Heard people above walking around after midnight.
