Basic hostel good for short stay

Friendly receptionist Good location in neighbourhood with bars & restaurants, several tram stops within 200m. Decent price.

- No doorlocks on dorm rooms. - toilets could be cleaned more frequently. - The windows of the room stay open, so it gets a bit colder and you get street noise - Wifi is spotty - Some guests stay there for a longer time and could be annoying towards other guests.

La vieille ville de Brême à deux pas.

Le personnel : la personne à l'accueil parlait français et cela m'a fait plaisir de pouvoir discuter dans m'a langue. Elle m'a indiqué comment accéder à la vieille ville, puis m'a offert un plan. L'emplacement : la rue dans laquelle est l'hostel est très jolie. La proximité avec la vieille ville : C'est simple, vous prenez à droite en sortant de l'hostel, à droite au croisement suivant et ensuite c'est tout droit jusqu'à arriver dans la vieille ville. L'hostel pourrait être encore plus proche mais c'est déjà très bien. Il est en revanche loin de la gare, mais il y a un transport direct à proximité. Puis, honnêtement, je préfère logée près du centre historique que du quartier de la gare. La chambre : j'ai trouvé le lit confortable, j'étais contente qu'on nous fournisse des draps propres à l'accueil. Cela m'a rassuré sur l'hygiène du lieu. J'ai apprécié que les casiers se ferment avec une clé et qu'il y ait une prise à l'intérieur. L'espace commun : utilisable par toutes et à tout heure du jour et de la nuit. Le prix.

Les escaliers très raides : j'ai été particulièrement heureuse de ne pas avoir de valise. Bonne chance aux futurs voyageurs et futures voyageuses qui en ont une. Les douches étaient assez peu pratiques. Le prix très élevé du petit déjeuner, au-delà de 10 euros je considère que ça l'est. Un homme qui ronflait extrêmement fort dans le dortoir et qui, d'après ce que j'ai pu constater, a empêché la majorité de ses voisins de dormir. Lui en revanche dormait comme un bienheureux. Je n'impute pas cette faute à l'hostel, mais je signale juste que ça m'a gênée. Payer plus cher pour dormir en dortoir féminin. J'ai souvent constaté cela à l'étranger : pouvez-vous comprendre que c'est une sécurité pour les femmes seules de dormir dans un dortoir féminin et que l'on devrait pas à avoir à payer un supplément pour ça ? C'est le point à cause duquel note finale n'est pas de 10.

Für eine Nacht sicher okay.

Sauberes Zimmer und gute Matratze.

Frühstück wurde nicht angeboten. Ein Hinweis, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt, wäre hilfreich. Die Treppe bis zum 4. OG ist doch anstrengend für altere Personen. Das Bett knarrte. Das Haus ist hellhörig.

Wer kein Problem mit einem Mehr-Bett-Zimmer hat ist hier hervorragend bedient.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und sehr gut aufgeteilt. Obwohl es ein 10-Bett-Zimmer war, hat man durchaus das Gefühl, einen persönlichen, privaten Bereich zu haben. Das Bett war sehr ordentlich und bequem. Die Matratze war angenehm hart für einen gesunden und festen Schlaf. Das Hostel ist sehr zentral gelegen im Szene-Stadtteil Ostertor (etwa 1 km vom Hbf). Wir waren in einer Gruppe in Bremen für ein Konzert in der 'Lila Eule' (5 Min. vom Hostel). Die meisten waren in einem Hotel untergebracht und werden beim nächsten Mal auch hier einchecken. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut.

Leider war die Dusche nicht wirklich warm. Mich hat das nicht gestört - andere Gäste aber schon. Ansonsten gibt es wirklich nichts zu kritisieren und ich gehe auch davon aus, dass das mit dem Wasser korrigiert wird.

Not really a backpacker's hostel

In principle an alright hostel. Meets basic expectations. Good to stay of you just want a place to sleep

Unfortunately, there was a group of high school students partying and occupying most of the hostel while I was there. Not really a hostel atmosphere.

Superb

The ladies working there were so bubbly, friendly and really open to conversation. I had some lovely chats with them. Awesome hot chocolate machine! I was addicted.

Location was a bit odd but was still a good walk to the old town.

Be Careful

We stayed in double room at the 4th floor, the building was renovated and clean, had enough space. No elevator, had to carry the suitcases 4 floor. Location is close to city center.

I have a general comment about our disappointment, I don't think there is something hostel can do about it but I'd like to warn the future visitors. We arrived by car and wanted to park the car across the street where the hostel has their own places. Unfortunately we did not feel safe as there are drug users around and they were doing drugs while we were trying to park there in the middle of the day, right behind the container there. And there is this guy wandering around the parking area -usually he is high- who did not physically harm us but made us feel uncomfortable. He asked for money etc. I just wanted to let people to be careful while wandering around and watch out for the guy. Otherwise hostel is nice.

Great value and very clean!

very clean! I liked the complimentary coffee/tea and kettle, also the fan. The private sink was also great. Good towels and bed linen. Outside balconies very nice!

Another electrical outlet (one was not accessible, half behind the shelf. The bed was a bit hard and lumpy ;-) TV was mostly in German, a few other channels but not easy to find (not very important!)

there was actually nothing I really liked about the hostel

check-in time was supposed to be until 7pm, but when I arrived, nobody was there and the door key didn't work, so I had to wait outside until the technical problem got solved. The bedroom was dirty,
