The room was very nice and had lots of character!
The koi pond was beautiful
We did a little mistake on our reservation by booking a day before we planed to go and thankfully they had and empty room to put us in even though it was the day after, they took great care of us there :)
Nothing everything was perfect

Die Lage ist einmalig.
Die Unterkunft entsprach nicht der Beschreibung und auch nicht den Bildern. Waschbecken extrem klein. ( handgröße) Man bekommt keinen Wasserkocher befüllt.

Beautiful location

Very nice surrounding, it is a quiet and beautiful place.
There was not toilet paper. Just as much as for one use. We were lucky we had our own in the car. I did not meet any stuff so I do not know what we would have done without our own paper.

It's a beautiful location and even though they don't have any check-in staff there, they arranged so that we could just arrive and find the keys inside. The bed was comfortable and the sitting area was very nice. Shower and water pressure were very good. Though there was a sign warning about sulfur in the water, we didn't detect any here.
There is no microwave in the unit and the bathroom is quite small outside the shower. There is a little micro sink and there's almost no flat space to put your toiletries.

very nice rooms .. great view
since it was very isolated I would have preferred some breakfast or food options at the property

The setting of this hotel is perfect! The room was nice and large for just the two of us.
We sat outside and watched the active volcano from a distance. We saw seals in the early morning. I will be staying here again. The hot tub access is a bonus touch.

We did not like a thing about this property and ultimately decided to leave after 45 minutes even though we had a non-refundable reservation. I think they could have refunded us given that we were the only guests but they decided to stick to the policy which ultimately benefited them. Despite all of the "excellent" reviews I feel I need to provide a bit of perspective on what this property really feels like (see below).
The entire property seems very neglected. From the algae growing in the pond to the eerie bird cages with pigeons in them we did not feel comfortable at all. It felt like a scene from Alfred Hitchkock's "The Birds". In the back of the family room that we had booked (#18) there was a half empty hot tub and a statue of a human face embedded in the rock wall was looking at us through the window. There were no facilities to heat or prepare any kind of food (no microwave or plates, just a hot water kettle) but there were two refrigerators. We did find a BBQ grill outside but it was partially dismantled and did not seem to work. Inside the room there were two wooden statues of naked female bodies which seemed unnecessary considering this was supposed to be a family room. There were 4 twin beds, each in a different part of the space which was also strange (no queen bed for the parents). It felt like you would sleep on a couch on someone else's place. I can't comment on the comfort as we decided that we would not stay. For $310 a night this was quite a loss for us because we had to book a different location but I want to be clear that this review is solely about the quality of the property (or lack thereof) and not the extra cost we incurred by staying elsewhere. We initially booked this place due to the high ratings on Booking.com and I feel they are very misleading and deceptive. It was very disappointing to see the vast gap between the ratings and the actual place. It was easily the worst property in my 25 years of traveling around the globe.

Wonderful views right on the water.

An amazing location and a lovely, well-thought out room. Sauna and hot tub are amazing to have privately in the room. Super quiet in the evenings and a world-beating vibe.
Housekeeping seems to have not matched the level of thought that went into creating the space; for example we had only one bathrobe (very strange in a room meant to sleep 6!) Found some stashed crumpled up in a closet but they smelled stale— for the price and type of room I'd expect a bit more attention to detail here.

Very secluded but not far from airport.
Only 15 mins car drive to sky lagoon.
In winter no breakfast bar open in morning, but this hotel is linked to Viking hotel so you can use their facilities. Viking hotel is very unique and has amazing food.

amazing location and views! so calm and tranquil. great place to look out for the northern lights!
despite the amazing location, it is far out from the city so unless you have a rental car, cab journeys will be expensive.

The resort is beautiful, better than expectations. The staff is efficient and kind, for any questions or requests.
Just a little feedback, You could change the towels only when they are on the ground. Everything else was perfect. Thank you.
