Great location for a family holiday

Such a great location and well decked out house. We stayed for 10 days over our wedding and couldn’t have worked out better. Lots of room, great little pool and very comfortable and clean bed and bathroom. Would love to go back.

It is a little dark inside due to the rainforest outside but it creates a lovely atmosphere

Very disappointed

The toilet did not flush we alerted the owner first day of 4 day stay he talked my husband through it and got it to flush BUT that was with the cistern lid off and putting hand in to manually flush we messaged the next day to say not very acceptable he said he would send ##### ( name withheld ) at the same time the pool Is advertised as heated and it was not the spa wasn't either again he " talked my husband " through but the pump still showed an error message I messaged about both these problems on the second day ##### was coming at 3pm and we arrived back to the accom at 6 pm NOONE had been toilet not fixed and pool still cold !!!!!! The next day when I went to message the owner had his phone set to "silenced " and remained that way for the rest of the trip the cleaner came on the second last day and tried to fix the pool but to NO avail it still gave the error message and was cold ! And about the toilet all she could say was "sorry " we are very disappointed as the cottage is lovely although could do with some curtains inside as there are none and people can see in and the shutters on the outside of the windows bang a lot with the wind . I booked this place because it had a nice heated private pool which we never got to use !!!!!!

this is a good location but fails to give you a blissful holiday when too much is wrong

location

the property was not cleaned properly, too many things did not work properly or at all, more attention needs to paid to presentation eg redoing the decking and planting some nice pot plants, new furniture should also be addressed and a refirb of the bathroom

we loved our stay in this mini Queenslander! very relaxing

A unique accommodation with plenty of room in the best location. Plus your own pool! The owners are great and very responsive to our needs.

Very quiet, homely and comfortable.

Very private and quiet. It was nice to have the bedrooms at opposite ends of the property with their own bathrooms. Comfortable lounge area with good selection of streaming services on the TV. Good facilities in the kitchen and laundry.

- The bathroom at the front of the property flooded every time I had a shower. It needs some sort of screen/enclosure on at least one side. - The living room was very dark - perhaps a couple of skylights would help. It was fine for me but my sister has impaired vision so we needed to have the lights on all the time.

a wonderful stay in Port Douglas

Great location close to Macrossan Street and all the shops, cafes and restaurants. Peaceful environment and well set up property.

Perfect location for a great holiday, everything you need including your own pool and welcoming hosts

Brilliant location close to shops restaurants and 4 mile beach. Perfect for two couples with bedrooms and ensuites at either end and living areas in between. Fully self contained if you don’t feel like going out to dinner with useable kitchen and BBQ. Great large plunge pool perfect for cooling off and relaxing outside. Under cover outdoor seating area in case it rains - we got none. Cold beer and sparkling wine and a beautiful fruit platter on arrival with supplies for a few days was a very pleasant surprise.

The hill from Macrossan street was short but pretty steep - one of our group has been ill and struggled a little with that - but was fine for everyone else - and we are not that young

Fabulous holiday in this well equipped house. We appreciated the welcoming touches the wine, huge bowl of tropical fruit

The Lodge is in an awesome location walking distance to everything. It has a welcoming relaxing atmosphere and we loved the private pool.

Bathrooms need an update.

One fabulous property within walking distance of everything! Comfortable and homely. Will be back!

So close to all the life of Port Douglas. Fresh fruit, sparking and beer on arrival. Well stocked pantry, with more than 4 of each plate and glass :) Easy check-in Comfort plus! All bathroom amenities and extra towels and a wonderful dressing gown for after a swim/shower Fab plunge pool and outdoor area. Lovely gardens that make you feel very private Encountered a Northern Brown Bandicoot which was a bonus!!

Couldn't have been happier with the cottage

Location was fantastic. Walk to everything. The pool was great and really made the difference to our stay. Apartment was well equipped.

Bed very slightly too soft for us but we might be too fussy.

Location was outstanding being both close to the Main Street, but not so close as to be noisy. I also loved the firm beds, and the fact that everything you need in a home away from home was provided.

Cut short due to maintenance issues that required fixing.

Location was excellent & private

TV only worked 1 free-to-air channel. Ants in kitchen.

Fabulous Location

Location was perfect, the Lodge was a little tired and needed a few things replaced and could've done with a more thorough clean. The personal touches were fabulous and communication with the owners was also great.

A few things needed replacing and was a bit dirty/dusty.

Exceptional

This is a beautiful house, perfect for a young family as it’s simple and effective: not too many things for kids to break! The pool is great for early swimmers, and the kitchen very well appointed. This is our second visit and won’t be our last!

We had everything we needed, bed was comfy and a homely feel about the cottage, nice quite spot and close to everything. The consideration into details was excellent.

We should have stayed longer! Shhh, don’t tell anyone, want to keep it to myself!! 😉

Cute and convenient

Great location and such a cute cottage very much our style. A lovely fruit basket was given to us on arrival and a drink which was very welcoming

Road works were happening on the next corner which woke us early .

Great spot to see Port Douglas, can park your car and walk everywhere.

Good spot, close to the main street. Nice having a private pool and nice view west. Relaxing spot to read a book and walk to everything. House was well looked after.

Street could be noisy in the early morning with trucks unloading.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Everything! Pool, location, furnishings, stocked with everything you could need.

Two things which I need to stress are not in control of the owners just would like to mention them: Street light location directly outside bedroom is unfortunate and the Australia Post employee that rocks up at 5:15am each morning banging cages around and having a mini meltdown while doing so.
