This small boutique hotel is quite charming and well located in the historic center of Cartagena, and offers a nice daily breakfast. The room was small but pleasant.
The amenities (e.g. towels) need upgrading. They had limited breakfast choices for my partner who cannot consume gluten or sugar—and they made no effort to accommodate them. The front of house staff are all very young; while professional and kind, they seemed inexperienced, and could not answer most questions about visiting the area.

Loved the location and how hot the water was! Also the AC worked nicely.
The breakfast could use a little bit more like avocado or a third item.

Proximity to the center is key with this hotel. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. I liked the uniqueness of this boutique hotel, it used to be someone’s mansion.
Updating bathrooms would be a plus

From the moment we pushed open the great door, we felt like we walked into a home, not a hotel. The room, with it's majestic king size bed and large stunning bathroom, was very comfortable, it had the first not-so-firm mattress of the trip. It also has quiet air conditioning and a mini-fridge. We loved the rooftop pool with it's stunning 360 views of the city; the library was full of books and comfy sofas where you can enjoy a cool space beyond the bedroom. Breakfast of tasty local fruit and a good cooked breakfast was served in a grand dining room. The focus is very much on peace and quiet and these rules are strictly enforced inside. When you step out, you are directly in the hustle-bustle of Cartagena centre. Wonderful staff at the reception and great service with a smile.

The stuff was really nice, the house is beautiful, and there was always someone at the Reception Desk!
The matress and pillows were a little hard for me. I like soft pillows and mattresses but everything else was great

The hotel is in the city centre of Cartagena which is a great location and is like a calm oasis once you step through the doors. Our room was on the ground floor just a little way from the Reception and we found it very comfortable although others might prefer to have windows looking out into the street rather than the internal courtyard. We had a wander around the hotel and it is really beautiful, more like a grand house! We utilised the small roof top pool as the weather was so lovely on two of the days and we were fortunate to have it all to ourselves.
On arrival we were informed that the room we had booked wasn't available due to a problem that had arisen so we had been put in a different room. That wasn't a big issue in itself but we weren't told that we would be required to move the following day which would have helped because we wouldn't have started unpacking. It was therefore a bit annoying to be told the next morning that we had to move just as we were on our way out to go on a tour we had booked. In the end it was only to the room next door which we actually preferred and we did it on the return from the tour. The only other minor issue was that on our arrival we were told that we had to press the intercom at night in order to gain access to the hotel. When we came back later that night/early hours, we were pressing the bell and no one came. We were standing outside for about 5-10 mins pressing the bell and starting to panic that we wouldn't be able to get in! It transpired that there is a sister hotel just round the corner and for whatever reason the night receptionist was there. If we had been warned that this might happen we would have been patient and not been panicked by the fact that we couldn't get a response.
Whilst we had these minor issues, we absolutely would stay there again as it really was very beautiful and nice to staying in the old city centre.

Good location in Historic Center, room was clean, old fashioned, but suitable; Breakfast had minimum of choices but what you received was good! Rooftop pool is small but cozy with a nice view. Friendly and helpful staff. Large showers. Close to some good restaurants.
Hotel had open roof with a wedding next door on a Friday night, which was louder then a rock concert from the afternoon to late in the evening. That was unfortunate but probably unforeseeable. No elevator, lots of stairs. Minimum choices for breakfast. If you wanted a drink by the pool you had to bring it from your mini-bar, no service.

everything was fine

Beautiful building with nice features.
Particularly, the library is a gem
It smells moldy in rooms and breakfast room.
It seems that they painted over the mold at some places.
One night, the alleged 24h reception wasn’t available to open the door.
We kept ringing the bell and hammering the door for 15min without reaction.
Luckily, we were able to call them via whatsapp.
Door opened then and we received no excuse from
the staff.
Rooftop is loveless maintained - water in pool a bit milky and not crystal clear. Chairs upstairs aren’t comfy.
For the price they charge, I would expect a staff that is more helpful.

good location, day time staff was mostly very friendly.
There was loud construction almost every other day, once with loud hammering at 8am on a sunday. the shower head in the bathroom was leaking with a loud dripping noise, one of the night staff was very unfriendly and inflexible with registering a friend as a guest, which was annoying because it was very late at night and I had to book my friend separate accommodation elsewhere. I've stayed in many hotels in Colombia and I never encountered any problems with this elsewhere.

the building is very beautiful and so are the rooms. breakfast was very nice, made per person (no buffet). breakfast came with fresh local fruits every day.
the location is very convenient and the staff was friendly.
The pool is small but very nice, overlooking the city.
I had a downstairs room which was beautiful!
there were no coffee or drinks facilities except from the breakfast. it would have been nice to be able to make coffee or get coffee or some drinks during the day.

Great location in city center.
The size of the room, the noise level, the bathroom was open to the bedroom. The staff were a bit dry and unfriendly.

The WiFi could have been better. It didn’t reach all parts of the room.

Breakfast was superb. Location can't be beat. Staff (Kelly) was charming, attentive, and unfailingly helpful.
Consider asking for a room on an upper floor.

Location was great
Rooms were not confortable. Very old and colonial for my taste. I wanted something typical of the city but not that old and uncomfortable.

Charming old building and the furniture take you back in time to the 1800s. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The location is central yet in a quiet street. Nice to have bathrobes and safe in the room.
