If you fancy somewhere different to say then this is the place, me and my family loved it! Would definitely say again, the shared bathroom facilities were not a concern at all ,big spacious areas very clean.
Can't wait to stay again.
Nothing really, our room was small but I know next time what room notvto book.

There is nothing to like! Such a bad experience
Staff was unfriendly. We were promised something else online, was given something else as a room. Completely digusting service and also never visit them!! Robbed us out of our money and set up very different expectations. Total fraud. We request booking.com to look into then, we tried speaking’s to booking.com to also get compensation for this horrible experience but nothing turned up! Was extremely disappointed

This hotel was super quirky and different. Not everyday that you see a bedroom hidden behind a bookcase. The restaurant also smelled great – we had hoped to eat there on our second night, but it was sadly closed due to a staff party. While a little further out, were also able to hire bikes, which enabled us to get around easily.
We chose our room because it had a window, but it wasn't able to be opened – not ideal in the middle of summer, especially when there was no airconditioning. A very small fan was provided, but it didn't do much. Our only option to make the room somewhat bearable was to wedge the door open for about 30-60 minutes before bed. When we shared feedback about the room being too hot, the staff member's response was "we know". Perhaps do something about it then? Haha
We stayed for two nights and all of the shower's soap dispensers were empty and not refilled.

The property was spotless. The shared bathrooms were both modern and cleaned multiple times a day and it showed. The staff was friendly, available 24/7, and our bed was super comfortable. The property, while being a bit outside the center of the city, is easily accessible by bike and by public transportation to an extent as well. The hotel also offers a wonderful seating area with a descent cafe as well. For travelers who have outgrown hostels but can't afford Amsterdam's inordinately expensive hotels, this place is for you!
The hotel is something between a hostel and a hotel as the name suggests. Vacationers should be aware that the bathrooms are shared with the other hotel guests. Also, the location is not in the center of Amsterdam and like most places is most easily accessible by bike. The biggest minus of the hotel was the size of the rooms which are tiny (which is the tradeoff for the more reasonable pricing) but what was most frustrating about our room was not so much the size but rather the fact that there were no windows in our room. The combination of the room being tiny and sharing it with a friend of mine with no window and no air conditioning made the room a bit stuffy. All this being said however, we both really enjoyed our stay and this is a worthy and wonderful alternative to the unbearable hostel experience and the wildly expensive hotel scene.

The hotel concept was very creative, nice staff, big clean bathrooms
Our room didn't have any place to put out clothes or luggage, just a very small table and two benches, we had to leave our things on the floor.
The bed was big but had two matresses put together instead of one big one which created a gap in the middle, it was very uncomfortable to sleep with my boyfriend like that.
We lifted the sheets and matress (trying to fix the gap) and they had huge stains all over, very disgusting.
The stairs leading up to our room were small and the light there was scarce, could be dangerous, I bumped into the wall twice and my boyfriend almost fell.

Just what we needed to start off our trip in Amsterdam. Best thing about this place is the Thai resturant!!
Although it's not right in the centre it really doesn't matter because you can walk/tram/cycle to dam square area no problem! We were in the invisible room - which was great. It is quite straightforward: just a bed, bench, and bedside tables in terms of furnishings. The shared bathroom was fine - never had to wait.
Nothing bad really. The only thing that I would mention is to be aware that you need to pay a tax upon arrival - when we went it was €3 per day.

The hotel had potential, the bar was good as it opened late.
It wasn’t clean when we arrived, the room had a layer of dust everywhere, we were told
that it would be deep cleaned but it never happened. The dust caused me and my partner some problems as we both have dust allergies. When the rooms were “cleaned” they would make the bed and empty the bin and that was it. The room was tiny for the money we paid, and the staff seemed annoyed at us after we kept complaining about our room. We also found mould in our bathroom and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned either. When we complained the first night, the receptionist came to our room and cleaned some of the dust with a cloth and said the cleaners will be in tomorrow to deep clean and we couldn’t have the refund as they were going to fix the problem. So when we complained again after our room was supposedly “deep cleaned” we were told that we couldn’t get a refund because we booked using booking.com. Unfortunately we will not be returning which is a shame as the hotel has some much potential as the layout of the hotel is pretty cool.

Very nice and flexible staff! Thank you so much for early check-in! The vibe is fantastic! Great deal for the price! We also enjoyed a lot the restaurant and lounge area!
The mattrass on the bad was interesting for us was fine! :) Some shower gel and shampoo in the containers would be really nice but unfortunately it was empty when we were there!

Staying there every time I'm coming to Amsterdam
It's a bit pricey considering location and size of rooms.

very unique stay in a great location.
we were charged an incorrect tax amount because staff thought we were different guests.

The beds are super comfortable!! And the rooms are really well soundproofed. Our bedroom was next to the bar area and we weren't disturbed at all. The breakfast is great, and so are the cocktails from the bar in the evening. The staff were lovely and really attentive, a real credit to Hotel Not Hotel. The museum quarter and parks are all within walking distance.
The cleaning standard could be improved as well as the ventilation in the bathroom. Our towels were not dry even 24hrs after using them. Storage in the rooms could also be improved, extra shelves and hanging pegs would have made our stay more comfortable.

the Location was good
Of course stated in the description that I misread, because I booked the room Last minute, I was still a little shockedby the fact I had no private bathroom but no big Problem.
One of the two big Problems I had anyway were:
1. The fact that my room didn't have any windows to open and NO window to the outside was very disturbing. Eventhough a fan was there running, everytime I walked into the room I was hit in the face by the very bad air and it concerned me to the point that I had to leave my door a little opened so that "some" kind of fresh air could enter....which of course left me with an unsafe feeling about everyone being able to enter my room at night unnoticed.
2. After my departure I immediately noticed that my credit Card was charged twice the price of my room. Do I went back to the hotel, told the receptionist and she wasnt able to find the error in the booking system, told me to contact the owner the next day.
Several calls, emails and week(s) later I came ti the conclusion that they couldnt or didnt want to Help me fix THEIR Problem and luckily I contacted my bank about it immediately after I came back home so I got the Money back, at last.
Very unprofessional and inconvenient financial aftermath to take care of afterwards :(
