Bardzo sympatyczna właścicielka.

Mieszkanie na piętrze bardzo wygodne, z salonu widok na jezioro i ogród gospodarzy, łazienka z pralką, Śniadania serwowane przez gospodarzy, typowo włoskie - na słodko, w przydomowym ogrodzie z widokiem na jezioro. Miejsce parkingowe przy domu na ulicy.

Nocując w tym miejscu trzeba nastawić się na poruszanie się po Menaggio samochodem, w przeciwnym wypadku dojście do centrum czyli nadbrzeża, przystani promów czy dworca autobusowego stromymi uliczkami, schodami, a nawet jezdnią bez chodnika. Jest możliwe ale trochę czasu i siły zajmuje.

Exceptional

Eleanor is the gracious host of this 'straight out of a fairy tale' house doubling up as a B&B. Photos of this listing do not do justice to the overall charm of this B&B. The accomodation was very spacious (Living room, kitchen, bedroom & toilet), fully furnished with beautiful paintings and furniture and has a beautiful view of Lake Como. A big thumbs up for the overall cleanliness and hygiene. It is located at Croche, which is up around the hills about 2 kms from Menaggio bus stop. Bus C12 takes you to and fro. Eleanor picked us from our bus stop at Menaggio. She helped us enormously with all the local information required to travel within Como and also dropped us to locations when required. Her husband Adriano and son David ensured we had a pleasant stay. On the morning of check-out, Adriano was kind enough to drop us off to our bus-stop while commuting to his workplace. (Future guests, do bear in mind that these courtesy rides were upon the host's discretion & schedule. We fondly consider the same as favours and not part of the package) The property has a beautiful garden with seating arrangements to dine as well as relax. 2 pets, a cat and a dog (Pongo) give you some furry company so you don't miss your pets while away from home. Spending time around Pongo and watching him do his zoomies was heartwarming. Breakfast arrangements were nice and timed flexibly as per our schedule. Besides the sumptuous fare of sandwiches, cheese, tea, coffee, fruits, juices etc, Eleanor specially baked some amazing scones & muffins for us, the aromas of which still waft through our happy memories. Dear Eleanor, Adriano & David, thank you again for everything. We hope to revisit Lake Como soon and spend a longer time of leisure at 'Balcone Fiorito'.

Menaggio is a very nice place and this booking is a great catch there.

Good location up the hill. Nice view. Friendly and helpful staff.

Water shortage. No airconditioning. An invasion of wasps in the garden, making it impossible to sit outside. A dog.

The Host were very accommodative and we were vegans and they provided us with options for that which we were thankful for plus the view was amazing and they have the cutest dog around and even a lil garden were we could do our yoga in the morning. Can definitely recommend it for those who want to stay in Lake Como. ( you can easily take your car down and take a ferry to the various cute towns but then come sleep comfortable in a quiet area with an exceptional view.

Beautiful location with an astonishing balcony. The room was convenient and equipped. The owners are extraordinarily kind and helping. Big breakfast, private parking and a fair price. Would highly recommend for anyone!

Eleanor's house feels like home!

Eleanor is so nice! Stunning room in her house, amazing view of Lake Como, free parking on site, privacy and comfort ... Eleanor is always there to help and give advices and tips on the local restaurants and activities. A real feeling of home!

Beautiful view, warm hospitality

Location was fantastic. Parking was easy. Room was spacious. View was incredible. The hosts went the extra mile (to get us ice, to allow us to leave our bags during the day as we were on a motorcycle). Overall a lovely experience!

TV was disconnected and did not seem to be working. Some lightbulbs needed changing.

Great stay!

My friend and I started our roadtrip in Menaggio, and stayed for 4 nights at the beautiful Balcone Fiorito. What an amazing place to stay! The room was great and you start the day off with a delicious breakfast. The sweet Eleanor makes something new every morning, ranging from pancakes to delicious banana chocolate cakes. Apart from the fact that the amenities and the location were perfect, Eleanor and her son David were really helpful. We felt completely at home with these wonderful people. Eleanor and David; thank you for this great start of our holiday. Love, Bas & Melvin.

Beautiful lake-view stay in the Italian Alps

We had an overnight stopover before driving back home. Very friendly and well-educated house owners, speaking also fluent English so we had good chats at arriving and breakfast on the sunny terrace. Free onsite parking and very clean room with good facilities. The floral garden and lake views are very beautiful. It’s worth the trip up high to this cozy spot.

Lovely Place

Amazing view from the premises to the lake and mountains. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Lovely garden Very spacious and clean room Relaxing atmosphere. If there was also a water heater and little fridge in the room it would be even perfect!

Beautiful location

The B&B is located on the hillside and the view from the garden of lake como and the surrounding mountains is amazing. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The property and gardens are very attractive, lovely quiet place to stay and relax.

The rooms and facilities are quite tired but working fine.

Nice clean rooms with balcony and excellent breakfast. Friendly people running the place. Beautiful garden.

One small thing: you can’t walk to the lake, it is too far, especially when you return uphill.
